depends on personal physiognomy, but I'd also grip way narrower than the guy in the picture.

I mostly do dumbbells due to the fact that my gym is packed most of the time and I can't lift it safely with so many people around me.

Look up thoracic extension and thoracic mobility. There are various techniques you can use that are floating around.For example. Try laying face-up on a foam roller with the roller under your mid-upper back. Raise your arms straight behind your head clasped together and try to touch the ground behind you while keeing your back on the roller and your butt/legs on the floor. Don't move the roller over to your lower back to cheat it.

OHP scares me. I'm afraid of fucking up my back having improper form. I've had previous trips to snap city from deadlifting and having my own weight above me scares me. I do seated OHP to work shoulders though.

I started lifting two months ago and I just realized that I haven't seen anyone else doing OHP in my gym.
I'm a total noob, so I just follow the routine designed by the trainer there.
I'm doing pyramid series, 15/12/10/8, yesterday got to OHP 35kg in last series, will I make it?

My arms are long as fuck and it becomes basically a tricep workout at a certain point in the lift. I fucking hate it.

Luckily, in Norway Crossfit isn't a meme, so a lot of people do these exercises. I'm the only one I've seen doing trap bar deadlifts thought.

Same. Have a buddy who’s taller and ‘bigger’ than me more defined thick solid tight etc. but he can’t touch my OHP because he’d literally never seen it done before or done it himself. Dude couldn’t OHP 35lb dumbbells but benches 2 plates I was blown away and he was embarrassed.

I just hit 1plate OHP after about 4 months of consistent lifting. It's my favorite lift.

I fucking hate them but I do them. Finally did my 70lb 5x5 today.

I actually like OHP and it's definitely great for strength gains but it honestly is an almost useless excerise for bodybuilding. Dumbell press is far superior, and if you really want juicy shoulders you need to isolate the smaller muscles with side raises, front raises and reverse flyes using light dumbells

At my gym everyone does sitting OHP in the smith machine, even my gymbro. It's literally just me and some super-lean boomer that use free weight.
