>Be me. On the keto diet.
>Accidentally ate carbs in the form of brown gravy on my steak I ordered.

>Wake up feeling better than I have in two months.
Is there something to the cyclic keto diet?

Lol your body was just thankful for not being on a meme diet for the first time in months
You'd have to drink a lot of brown gravy to ruin your keto. Gravy over potatoes would ruin it but over steak isn't too bad at all.
keto is prolly just not for you
i did keto in my cut for about 5 months, never felt better, desu
never hungry, even with a 1000cal deficit,
easy to lose weight, didnt lose strength
downsides for me: cant eat carby goodness like pizza/fries
shits that will tear your ass apart (this is my fault, i didnt eat fiber)
but mainly it cost me alot
overall, it was great for cutting,
bad for my wallet (about 40 bucks per week)
I wouldn't say it's a meme diet. I have been consistently losing weight on it... however, I felt like ass on it.
Strength training was a bitch, etc.
Keto is good for cutting. Its not good as a way of life.
>Keto is good for cutting
its a meme for cutting
there is no proof that eating keto on 500 cal deficit is better than eating on a normal 500 cal deficit
Carb cycling is an effective way to do keto long term. If you deplete your glycogen levels indefinitely, there can be problems. Most people think keto is cheese, bacon and eggs
Refeed days can help optimize lifting. For example, every other Saturday have a day where you eat nothing but carbs and proteins. No fat. Chicken and pasta, turkey breast and rice, etc. This can help replenish glycogen levels enough to have some extra energy to spare when lifting, but not enough to get massive amounts of fat deposits.
When doing keto normally, I found that going for only the most nutrient dense foods to get my carbs in was the best way. This included kale. spinach, Swiss chard, and avocado. I ate very little in the way of berries, except in smoothies simply for flavour.
God speed with keto, user.
>there is no proof that eating keto on 500 cal deficit is better than eating on a normal 500 cal deficit
that is not the idea behind keto you fucking moron
>I wouldn't say it's a meme diet.
This is what Ketists believe
this guy understands it
Carb cycling and refeed days while doing keto is what you want OP
im quoting one that is basically saying that keto is good for cutting, reading comprehension not even once
keto fags is worse than vegans
keto IS good for cutting
Noone is postulating that eating 500 kcal on keto is better than 500 kcal on a regular diet
>cutting is good for cutting
How is it better in anyway than any other meme diet?
>felt like shit
Definition of a meme
bro, when I start a cut, I literally keep my calories the same for at least 2 weeks, while only dropping carbs. I always lose weight during this period. Keto works great for a cut.
This is the best way, but its not really keto
>water weight
For some reason when I'm in keto I felt like I drank 3-4 espressos.
Well, at least I study better.
Why are you doing this to yourself?
Why cant you lose weight like a normal person holy shit.
Lets turn that question around
Why do you think it is bad, when it is the most widespread and successful weight loss diet to have surfaced?
Because it's a useless hindrance, it's like not eating anything colored brown. It makes it artificially harder - can't eat brown rice, gotta go white for no reason
>widespread and ""successful""
popularity doesn't mean effectiveness. Most keto nerds I know can't go a few weeks without breaking the diet. Maybe a few months, but after that they always fail because of arbitrary restrictions
