anybody has had any experinece with melatonin? any other supplements i should take before going to bed? i have tried everything, bros. i have limited my sugar intake/no coffee or other stimulants+going to the gym everyday, but it simply doesn't work.
you tried so much shit that your hormonal sleep response is suppressed. melatonin is going to keep suppressing that.

I take melatonin to switch to either days/nights for work. and if I'm doing something I need a good sleep for the next day I take it.
Melatonin is also sold in WAY higher doses than were supposed to take. all you need is 2mg < . you have to find your sweet spot, too much can actually keep you awake. I buy the 3mg and split them in half

I remember going through a tough time having depression and just wanting to sleep all the time. I was taking 20 mg of melatonin and my dreams were wild...

>Says he's tried everything.
>Lists 3 things. Do you have any lights in your room from electronics or other shit? Is your room so dark you can't see anything at night? Can't see your hands, door frames, windows, bed, etc? Or do you have shit blinds and curtains illuminating everything. Have you chilled your room to the scientifically determined optimal 65-68F range?
Do you use your bed for anything other than sex and sleep? if so stop.
Throw in 0.3 mg of melatonin 2 hours before bed and you're good.

Jayden Wright

try tryptophan. it converts into melatonin and will do other stuff your body needs. take about 400mg half an hour before bed and you'll get dosy for sure.
Xavier Ward
try a cup of this or similar tea. yes you must steep it for 30 mins.
Magnesium has done wonders for me. I dont even wake up feeling tired anymore and getting to sleep is so much easier. I take 500mg an hour before bed.

This.
You shouldn't actually take melatonin, because that signals to your body that you can get it externally and it no longer needs to produce it. With supplements you need to take things that aid your body in production of these things. Which is why you dont take testosterone, you need to take things that boost test like zinc + magnesium etc You're gonna make yourself dependent on this stuff OP.

Some ideas: - Get rid of as much blue light sources before sundown. If you don't want to do this, at least turn down the lights. But don't turn off that lamp with that monitor beaming at your face. A bright monitor in your face in a dark room is just going to keep you up. - Open your window shades before you sleep. Natural light to wake you up is a good way to re-establish your rhythm - Drink some water. Make sure you're hydrated - Don't wear socks and stick them outside your blankets

*stick your feet outside your blankets

>2 hours before bed I've always heard 30 minutes?

Maybe you just have a delayed sleep phase and you're just not trying to sleep at the time that is natural for your body.
Connor Foster
I've thought about doing this often. Most of the times I use melatonin is cause I just wanna fall asleep to get away from the sad.
Noah Scott
Benadryl, you take 4 and your ass is going to sleep whether you like it or not
Levi White
Melatonin is great
I get great dreams on it

Excessive melatonin causes depression
Dylan Lee
Excess melatonin causes depression. Try getting more sun.
Bentley Hill
0.3-0.6mg max. If youre a depressed overthinking retard its not going to help and force you to sleep. Just learn some breathing techniques for ease of falling asleep, the melatonin helps with not waking up. Any higher doses and youre gonna be daydreaming

Why am I getting a rapey vibe from this "Nighty night" tea

but then the nun will grab them
Brandon Williams
Melatonin supplementation inhibits natural production of the hormone over time, making it harder to fall asleep naturally.
