How long have you been lifting? Also bump
I've been lifting regularly for about 4 or 5 months but I've been lifting inconsistently for a few years. I stopped lifting for about a year and lost all my gains before I started up again.
bump
Curlbros fuck off
Do more chin ups and rows
Pls no bully
Almost no pink left

just started 5/3/1, clearly love a deadlift
Here's my print out

bulking up for the first time, been lifting for 10 months

OHP: 55kg
Bench: 85kg
Squat: 125kg
DL: 145kg
Used to be 105kg but cut down to current weight, not had the caloric surplus to increase my strength too much but looking forward to the winter bulk
Also been lifting consistently for about 6 or 7 months
My triceps is so weak, are there any assistance exercises I can do besides Dips and Skullcrushers for Triceps strength? I always struggle to complete the bench and OHP.
6 months of training while also cutting (30kg down now - 30kg to go). I really need to work on my lats and biceps since i can barely manage 1 pull-up at my current bw (120). Started DL a month ago while I have squatted for the whole 6 months (proper depth), so my DL is actually behind.
estimated 1rm:s. for some reason the score is different in this part.
Been lifting for about 7 months consistently. Have had issues with my pecs and shoulders though due to a minor pull and an shoulder tendonitis so I've been taking it slow. Not surprised by the results.
how in gods name do you work "spinal erectors"? do you just get on the ground and do the worm for a few minutes? I did not even know there was muscle there and just tendons holding the spine in place
deadlifts and barbell rows
Hmmm I thought I was working my ass with dumbbell squats but I guess doing dead lifts and squats with dumbells isnt the same thing. Like I need more weight for one over the other? I dont know, I thought the motion for them both using dumbells were the same thing.
Show bod pls.
You're my height and at my next goal weight.
Wait I am confused. I am looking up at how to dead lifts and squats with dumbbells and apparently they are both doing the same motion and form? So why is my ass subpar and my quads are untrained? Shouldn't it be the same all around?
lifting for 3 months
can do 10+ chin up
hate training legs, home gym
see any areas i can improve?
every area
yes but how
Because a barbell holds more weight, plus resting the bar on your back causes core development.
I see, fuck. I dont have room in my apartment to get a barbell set. I'll just have to keep making due with what I got I suppose. Maybe try to do slower movements with them.
Do starting strength for 3 months, just don't do a stupid bulk. Barbell squat, barbell everything. Don't fuck around.
How much are you squatting and deadlifting? You should really get a gym membership.
>starting strength
lol no sorry i am not into memes.
i meant real suggestions
Only 110 at the most kek. I am kind of nervous to go any further than that.
Right, much better to continue lifting bitch weights forever.
blue man group, training for about 3 months
>symmetry score is 100
>tfw bench max higher than squat and deadlift
why live
That's why your legs and ass are subpar, you can't even squat 1pl8
How do I know if I am ready to go heavier and not worry about my back shattering? I guess just keeping good form prevents that?
>1pl8
>a plate is 20kg/45lb
wait I can squat more than that, what do you mean?
lal, so you think the bigger the number, the better?
Of course not, the less the better.
1pl8 is one plate on each side of an Olympic barbell, that's 135 pounds, and you hold it on your shoulders. Your back will definitely not shatter at that weight, that's what most adult men start at.
>(You)
Dude do you think when somebody says they squat 3pl8 they have three fucking plates balanced on their head with no barbell
I see, I never worked with barbells obviously so I did not know how that translates from using dumbbells all the time. I was under the impression that using dumbbells and barbells is interchangeable and the differences were only minor.
If you can clean two 65 lb barbells onto your shoulders and safely squat that, it would be effectively the same as squatting 1pl8
Most people can generally go up way more in weight with barbells than dumbbells.
Long way to go but better than being a 100kg+ lard arse

Help
Phraks gslp got me crazy gains. Do it till you stall, barbell only then 5/3/1 for beginners. Eat plenty. Watch the gains come in. I'm about one month away from ending 5/3/1 for beginners after pgslp. I went from only lifting barbell to lifting bodyweight or close to it. Can't tell you how many kids I see at my gym doing starting strength and making ascene bc they're clearly exceptional Jow Forums users, then after maybe two weeks I never see em again
I can to 12 at 200 lbs
Alright I learned on how to do cleans and started with two 20 pounders and already I can feel a difference holy shit. I was always a little dissapointed my ass and back thighs werent getting enough work from squats. I have been missing out on so much. I though squats alone would be enough.

You should be doing correct breathing, look up techniques on bracing.
Also if you're scared of going up in weight, try pause squats, jumping squats, and play with leg stance a bit.
As long as you're eating enough you shouldn't have to worry about snapping your shit as weight or reps should go up every session, best of luck.
Thanks, I’ll try it. I’ve been stalled for like 7 weeks now. I’m terrified that this is my natty limit and it’s terrible
Almost 3 months in. Why the fuck are my bench and row the exact same? Is this normal?
you're probably using momentum with your row
3 months
all these people who started lifting 3 months ago...the fuck happened in june that got more people lifting?
That screenshot is from the app.
Did you actually buy an app for something that is available on desktop for free?
My guess is school’s out during the summer
>imagine being this poor/stingy
>why aren't you throwing fistfuls of money down the gutter lol you poor?
keep going lad you'll get there
>thinks $3.99 is considered "fistfuls of money"
not gonna make it with that penny wise pound foolish mindset
I too like to randomly throw $3.99 out the window. Am I making it yet?
