Recently picked up some knee sleeves, bought them for around $100, which i hesitated for months primarily due to the fact that Jow Forums claimed knee sleeves are garbage and not needed. Used my SBD knee sleeves for 5 sessions so far, and they are the best item i have ever bought Jow Forums wise. Keeps my knees incredibly warm in my cold garage, to where my knees steam and get extremely sweaty. Knees feel amazingly more stable, and my quad tendinitis is non existent now.
I recommend anyone who squats 2-3x a week, to invest in knee sleeves (regardless of brand). Keep those knees healthy 40 years from now.
have these would recommend I also have some chalk 3 bottles of nose tork, some gangsta wraps for the wirst by mark bell and an inzer lever belt which is 10/10 imo

Top tip: dont neglect your form
Threw out my back for the first time a week or so ago squatting. Coudnt walk for 2 days. Walking still hurts but therapy is going very well thankfully.

On the topic of sleeves: Get elbow sleeves from them. Their belt is fucking amazing too even though it's expensive as fuck.

7mo lifting and nearly fucked my lower back by squatting and necromancing 3x8 twice a week. Now at 3x6 for each, squat twice a week necromance once. I also keep a straight back doing every day things. Ice pack with straps helps
/plg/ recommends them annon, i would take their advice over the ppl twinks from reddit.
Getting some knee wraps, not entirely health based but what ever.

how is the fit of these things? my knees are 41cm around, so it recommends the xl, but a review on there says he also has 41cm knees, but L fits too
hows your fit?

If anything, my form is even better which i couldn't believe since my form before hand, was almost if not perfection which i prided myself on. FULL ATG, but with the sleeves i notice now my knees are always in perfect position, both in the hole and at the top of the rep.
I should have listened, i was kicking myself. But i fucking love them now, and always wear them for squats and DL.
I'm 41 as well, i got the XL. At first they were tight as fuck, but now they fit great. Also be warned, at the beginning the back of your knee feels like it's going to burst wearing them.
i am the exact opposite lol strong upper body, weak ass quads 5x5 incline bench at 100kg, but squat is at 80kg
chest for example is 46" whereas my legs are an emberassing 24"
i blame my dad for my shit leg genetics, desu
Ian Bell
same here, i fucked my right wrist up doing reverse curls and need the wrap to support the weight for my wrist and not allow it to bend when benching and OHPing. urls, push downs, and rows are straight up impossible now.
how long did it take for ur wrists to recover completely? its been like this for a month for me
Oliver Watson
I've considered knee wraps and wrist wraps, but feel too dyel for that sort of stuff

I bought a ruger super blackhawk 44 magnum today For when i finally decide to call it quits

>knee wraps Those are bad for your knees and should only be used when competing equipped or testing openers.

Unironically do SS for a while
Jordan Morris
>4 months into SS >plateauing hard at 0.5/1.5/1.5/2, barely moved up for a month >hip impingement on squats >big back injury 2 days ago
did SL for a long time, thats unironically how i got to 90kg ohp, and 2plate incline bench lol
but my legs dont look completely dyel, so its not a lost cause yet
Cooper Russell
to clarify, thats a 1rm for the OHP, and 5x5 on the incline bench

> I got cursed with strong lower body, and flimsy upper, fucking thanks Jesus.
I had the same problems running PL routines and it switched around when I started doing other shit - and it mostly had to do with low upper body volume.
Handstands, weighted dips, weighted chin ups and an assortment of push ups for extra volume will make a huge fucking difference if you're willing to try.

Guys i think i may have hurt my knee when squatting the other day Thing i can still run walk and rotate them, but i always feel an ache now Does it go away? Anyone have experiences with recovering from a knee injury?
Mason Bailey
