>started smoking immediately upon graduation
>6 weeks ago browsing Jow Forums
>someone talking about the "nicotine jew"

>embed youtube link to one of the dumbest fucking videos about quitting I ever watched
Here it is: youtube.com/watch?v=l27zWo7hbcY&t=0s&index=6&list=LL0_1SvVtvNwQhpVH53j2slQ

good on ya mate

Congratulations!

Thanks!

I'm trying to stop smoking too, your post and the vid you posted are a great inpiration, thanks. I'm happy you made it. Also, dude in video has a funny mouth

Wish some of the people i know started quitting nicotine, a friend started smoking a pack a day a year after he started.

quitting smoking is simple.. you just dont smoke. i have no idea why people have such a hard time with it

The addiction really brainwashes you into believing you need the nicotine. Once you get over the brainwashing, its fucking easy to quit.

how do I get over the brainwashing?

i smoked fro 10 years, realised how dumb it was, decided i missed being able to do cardio properly. then stopped.

it honestly wasnt difficult at all. Maybe there was some slight physical discomfort sometimes, but whatever.

there's no barrier whatsoever to stopping smoking. people make it out to be hard to do, there is no brainwashing, just dont smoke if you dont want to

yeah but I want to smoke, or at least my body wants to. That's the whole problem, it's an addiction.

You know that smoking is bad, right? That's the first step. After that, its basically convincing yourself that every time you crave a ciggarette, that the nicotine jew trying to kike you out of your shekels. Dont let him win.

Fruit juice helps a lot! Seriously. I never would have thought that until I tried it. The writing down all your reasons for quitting and keeping it on you helps as well.

>x saved my life

holy cringe

If you really WANT to smoke, you'll never quit.

nonsense.... if you have a craving just ignore it.

dump the last of your tobacco literally now, dont keep any for a rainy day and then forget about it. your body isnt going to get more, then light it and smoke it unless you decide to.

if you get more and then smoke it then you will ahve decided to, not your body

its just nicotine, withdrawal isnt that bad..

the only brainwashing is that quitting is hard.. of course if you go into it thinking that you are more likely to fail.

this isnt some reverse psychology shit, or anything like that.. i smoked for ten years..
its not hard to quit.

Now quit caffeine

Bruh.....no

and thats a good thing

you are all right, stopping isn't really hard and I can and will start right now. Was at a mates house a few minutes ago, went there without cigarettes or a lighter and didn't ask him for any of that stuff. Feels good to not need to smoke everywhere I go, I think I'll continue like this. Thanks, hopefully you started, or at least helped to start a positive change in my life today

it's little things, like not feeling obligated to smoke when other people are smoking, taking a break just to get on your phone or walk around instead of taking your dedicated "smoke break." I used to make myself only throw away my butts when i got home so if i smoked i would have to keep the cigarette butts with me in a pocket or something, and that pissed me off and added to me not wanting to bother smoking.
that's ultimately why i stopped. it became a bother. I didn't go through a pack very quickly and I ruined the last two packs i bought because they got crushed or soggy while there was still plenty left in them. Then the next time i wanted a smoke while at the gas station, i just realized I'd be wasting my money since I'd only smoke a couple and the rest would get ruined somehow.
I haven't smoked since.
You can't make it into a huge goal in your head where you beat this monster that is slowly killing you, because then you get anxious about smoking and how you can't smoke and you're just more likely to give in so you can stop worrying about it.
Just visualize how much of a bother it is in general to smoke, how you're regularly spending money just to watch a stick evaporate, or how you have to go outside whenever you want to do it, or be like me and enforce other minor rules that aren't big but just make the process more annoying until you just stop bothering

The only thing that cured my cig and other addictions was LSD

Based.
Never touch that shit again, friend. No matter what happens. Never seek comfort in it again. Not a single puff, ever again.

Yeah, Acid just makes me want to chain smoke

I just quit this past weekend, glad to join all of you.

You guys know that feeling when you wake up, feel great, wanna work out and generaly be active throughout the day.

You light up a cigarette and drink some coffee to satiate your "needs". It feels good. Then you procrastinate and smoke more and more up to the point you eventually feel like shit.
And then you don't feel like working out. You feel dirty and polluted. You feel weak.'

Smokers know that feel. It fucking sucks, and it ruins your day and your life.
Just quit it and improve your quality of life, anons. It's hard, especially at the first couple of weeks, but you can do it.

Cigarettes aren't as good as they used to be.

Global warming has fucked up the crops and North Carolina gets too much humidity so they add a lot of chemicals to balance it out.

>cringing at wholesome things

Nice job buddy did you not need to overcome anything in life cause your rich parents got you everything you wanted or are you just a rude faggot that can't find happiness and motivation in other people achieving their goals with the help of whatever

keep going buddy

I've smoked every day for 6 years, I've never know that feel.
Maybe you're just a pussy

I’m at 2 weeks this Saturday tobacco free. I still get my fix here and there from the gum. I have tapered the gum use down. The gum isint effective for a lot of people I’ve talked to, they prefer the patch, but the patch always seemed icky to me and he gum works great so give it a shot anyone that’s trying to quit. That’s my 2 cents.. good luck everyone

Props to you man, I'm proud of you

Based.
I'm a month and a week clean, quit cold turkey. I still have urges (usually after breakfast, or when I'm stressed at work) to smoke, but I've resisted thus far. Fighting the urge to smoke is like fighting the urge to have sex with an ex, you have to use your brain to understand how the short term pleasure causes long term pain.

Nice one bro. I accidentally got myself addicted to having a smoke before I workout and now I don't even feel like training unless I have a buzz
