Hey Jow Forums this is my first time posting here since this board intimidates me. Anyway, chubby femanon here. I haven’t always been chubby, but I’ve reacently gained a shit ton of weight within a 8 month time span. I got rid of all the stressers out of my life that made me gain the weight in the first place, but nothing I’m doing seems to be working. I went from 110 to now 160 last time I weighed myself. I try 1200 calories a day + a two mile run but when I get passed day 3 I end up binging and overeating and not go running because my thought process is “well I overate might as well be a lazy shit today.” None of my clothes fit. My confidence is shot. I hate going out in public now. I guess the best question is where do I strart? I’ve always been “naturally” thin, but since I moved somewhere new my routines have changed and I can’t go back to my old habits.

Eat clean, but eat enough
Exercise, but don't overdo it
Weight loss is a marathon, not a sprint
500kcal is plenty of a deficit if you can't handle 1000kcal
You can start by just cleaning up your diet.
Eat healthy whole foods and throw out all preprocessed premade foods.
All of them.
If you want to eat, you have to handmake it from scratch.
Go to ck for recipees and to pick up a hobby.
Secondly, you can only eat up to three meals a day. No snacking no anything.
Drink only water and maybe unsweatened tea.
As for exercise. Fuck jogging.
Go for long daily walks and do a bit of yoga.
You can do jogging if you want but it's not needed. It's nice and a fun hobby, but you'll not be able to outrun a bad diet.

Does yoga actually do anything besides improve flexibility? I’ve never gotten into yoga because whenever I tried it I just didn’t feel like I haven’t gained anything from the workout.

If you actually did yoga, you'd know what you're getting from it. If you weren't getting sore then you aren't nearly as untrained as you let on in the OP
The yoga is to strengthen and keep you flexible and be a gentle way to keep you in shape.
But if that's not your thing then doing a basicbitch cardio bunny thing, palates, or stripper pole dancing will get you in shape.

Ahh I mean as a kid I did martial arts (strict asian parents). I did that until I was 14. When I tried yoga it just seemed too easy. Oh man the stripper pole routines look fucking intense. Thank you user. When I go back to 110 pound cute self I’ll remember you.
