I jacked my shit up deadlifting with bad form

How do I get better before Monday? Right now just rolling out of bed and walking to the bathroom is agonizing. It’s only on the right side, and I’ve got pain radiating into my groin and right quad.

enjoy your wheelchair fucko

I think you got scatica or whatever its called. Take same pain killers if you have them, lay down with a pillow under your knees. It'll take a while

>how do I get better before Monday
>pain radiating into my groin and right quad

you are not going to be better by Monday you herniated a disc

wrong
he just pinched a nevre i had this several times its usually gone after a few days

Back pain presenting with radiopathy like yours is usually indicates a disc injury. It may be slightly irritated, bulging, or completely herniated. I would recommend waiting about a week or until the pain is gone, whichever is sooner, and then working through the pain with your usual routine, with very light weights and high reps. If the pain persists, you will need an MRI to assess the extent of the damage and possibly require multiple weeks off.

>before monday
lolno, RIP. You can take tylenol/advil to help. The acute pain might go away in a few days. That's how it worked when I herniated my back a year ago, but I could've been luckier than most.

Also try out based jeff's advice here

see if it helps.

>radiopathy
I mean radiculopathy

>He fell for the heavy deadlifting meme
Stop listening to rippletits & co, their entire existence is a meme

ok brainlet

the sciatic nerve is pinched, you know what it's being pinched by? a bulged/herniated disc pressing into it

this is your real answer

My roommate suggested rolling my back with a tennis ball, that helped immensely

>Monday
Are you retarded or what? That's only 2 days from now.
Go to a physiotherapist.

You are deadlifting unevenly, check your form, switch hands for mixed grip, use straps,
DONT ROUND, keep it to wieghts you can lift.
Also you should be sore, or what happens when you exert your muscles

I went into my gym this morning to deadlift, and there was a chiropractor there stretching people for free. Told him my lower back was aching, maybe from poor form from one set a couple weeks ago or a crash racing moto.

Had me stand up and reach for my toes. He found that I had a lot of muscle in my lower back, something he called "a second butt". Basically I've been using too much of my lower back to lift the weight, which is natural and quite common when your body is trying to lift something up, though it's not the correct way to deadlift.

Told you all that to say: stand up and bend over and feel your lower back for muscle mass. Maybe your back isn't straight enough or "locked" straight when you deadlift.

chiropractors are quacks, which is why he was there "stretching" people for free

don't believe anything a chiro tells you and never let them touch you, none of the shit they do is based in reality and the entire field is founded on bullshit

you have a disc herniation with sciatica as a symptom lol, literally textbook.

He was there because he is a friend of the gym's owner. It's a very small gym where everyone knows eachother.

it's even worse than the usual presentation if he has pain in a saddle pattern in and around his groin, OP fucked himself up pretty good

This. Done it like 10 times over many years of lifting and always feels 100% after a week.

we got another one boys

this. you'll still feel like shit by Monday though OP, try doing stretches and it might be just a little better

Rofl Monday. You're fucked for several months best case, and are now more prone to injury the rest of your life. Fell for the deadlift meme.

>How do I get better before Monday?

you cant, i did something similar and i couldn't do any lower body exercises for like a month and a half

I fucked my back up like that and now any slight rounding at all puts my back put again and I cant walk for days, literally held together with string and any pressure at all will break it. I literally can't even close to max out due to risk of paralyzing myself again.

Hope it's not top bad OP

>describes a herniated disc, can't walk, radiculopathy
>how do I get better before Monday?

Oh shit nigga.
Welcome to snap city.
That shit is PERMANENT.
You'll get better with time but you're going to have to deal with that.
You're going to have to do some stretching and resting for a while nigga.
Don't listen to these imbeciles who're telling you to continue lifting.
You'll only make things fucking worse.
You're not a powerlifter or ego lifter or some other shit.
You're a guy who's fucked his back up while enjoying a little hobby.
Don't wreck your body for it.

You go to a physiatrist and have them tell you whats wrong. I was in the same boat as you, and just walked it off for a bit. Next thing I knew I had 3 fractured vertebrae in my lumbar spine and 2 herniated disks that made it impossible to bend over or walk very much. Just go to a doctor before you risk permanent damage.

How exactly were you deadlifting that caused this?

This is correct, just hit some abs to strengthen your core before deadlifting again.
I found that my core is weak as fuck so all the pressure goes to my lower back when deadlifting

THIS PEOPLE, ive been fucking up my lower back lately by relying on it too much. My pain has only started to go away when I focus on engaging my core and keeping things tight. Also keeping the chest out and up when I squat.

always take a cold shower after lifting. I got rid of most of my doms like that
