Water proof for swimming, heart rate sensor, analyses your sleep, great for tracking cardio, looks ok, why shouldn't I get it?
Red pill me on fitness watches Jow Forums
They’re bullshit and grossly overestimate your calories burned.
what if I'm not looking into the dietary aspect?
Garmin watches are good, got 735XT.
Honestly it's a cool gadget if you wanna splurge some money and can't think of anything else. AFAIK since it's on your wrist it can't really be that accurate. Probably a better idea to get a cheap one that can work with a chest strap.
Sauce on that?
That Garmin does look nice but prehaps a little out of my price range
Then forget it, it's not worth it for ya
yeah probably, maybe I'm just looking for something to splash out on without reason
I still use my Pebble to count steps and check my sleep. It's ugly as fuck but I'm still not at my weight loss goal yet so who cares because I'm ugly?
Vivosmart 3?
Waterproof, tracks HR all day, relatively decent calorie tracking, sleep analysis, decent at cardio
yeah prehaps, looks nicer than the fitbit, think I should probably do some real research
incredible good for running, but also generic cardio activities, not very useful for lifting. I use my forerunner 30 with stravistix and its great, tells me exactly when to train and what my "fitness" level is, circumventing boring old math things that people used to use to increase performance.
the newest high end watching have this build in...so overall...if you are past/near the mediocre point of cardio related activities. get it. Strava also seems to be pretty great and popular. Great way to connect and show performance.
That is very convincing, I use strava on my phone currently for my runs and cycles it would be nice to have it built in
Don't go for Fitbit. Not Polar either.
Garmin or bust. If you want great for tracking cardio, go for a GPS variant + HRM. Forerunner 235 would suffice
there is also a segment of "half smartwatches" I think the garmin forerunner only costs like 130 bucks now (has a VERY shitty strap) but otherwise it has enough data for stravistix (
Because the information isn't actionable.
There's no data you're going to acquire from all this monitoring that's going to lead to you to make any meaningful change that results in improvement.
If you have a data fetish, great, get it. But otherwise, no.
from a looks point of view the garmins do look nicer tbf
also to add: if a marketer is watching this thread
Is it possible to track when you need to do another set from your heartrate? I noticed that as my workout continues, I need to rest more. So standard time deviations of lets say "2 minutes between sets" often become inaccurate. So I thought that perhaps one could find a more accurate thing judging from the heartrate. But the sensor is just too slow for that. Often also inaccurate.
could one you potential marketers try to make it so that it can track these things as well, or just give it along to someone up the chain?
They are very useful for running.
In conjunction with my autism the help me set goals and track the achievements I've done so far.
Just buy a terrorist watch
Are you a man child?
A man becomes a true runner the moment he buys a GPS watch.
They're for fat fucks who think they're going to lose weight by counting their steps.
a what?
i think hes talking about an f91w
Every fat person I know owns a Fitbit.
