Bodyweight/Calisthenics General

Alright boys lets get a calisthenics thread going.

Here's a download link for Overcoming Gravity.

Talk about your routine, ask questions, circle jerk about how we're better than everyone else because we have functional strength. Etc.

What's your routine my man, I would use some structure now, we're all goin to make it breh

In theory I do skill work then strength work, like this:

handstands
L-sit

then

Diamond pushups (actually just hit two workouts in a row of 3x8 clean reps so it's time to start working on straddle 1 arm pushups or maybe archer pushups not sure which yet)
Pullups
Pike pushups
Inverted rows

The truth is my handstand work is shit and I need to put more time and effort into it.

My chest/tri is progressing really well but while I can feel the strain and the work I'm putting into my back, there's very little noticable progress. I'm thinking maybe the way to break it is to get a door pullup bar and just every day do a couple sets up inverted rows and negative pullups until my back just gets forced to catch the fuck up. I dunno.

I'm kinda like you at this point, I was getting better in the pull ups doing 10x5 but stopped working for more than 3 weeks and now I'm weak as fuck, but now I don't plan on stopping again

Christ 10x5 fuck you. I'm not even close. I'm just grinding it out but it feels like progress on this is so slow. But I do a couple full reps then move to negatives, and do inverted rows. I'm not sure what else I can honestly be doing to build it up.

My routine is something like.
A day
Front lever work
weighted pullups
weighted dips
russian dips slow progression
some rows if I feel like it
wall assisted handstand pushups/pseudo planche pushup( I'll do the one I dont do today the next day)
curls

on B day I do
windshield wipers
ab wheel
leg stuff/sprints
rotator cuff band work
I usually do something like
A B A B Stretching

Sounds pretty good. What are your long term goals?

Fuck, you want me to exercise or to read?

I just started working out nearly 2 months ago
Seeing decent gains too, started from total dyel

3x7 pullup
3x10 weird pistol squat things
3x8 rows
3x10 diamond pushups
some basic core stuff too

Forgot 3x8 dips

How do I achieve frogstand?
I cannot keep my feet in the air more than 3 seconds. I have put a cushing in front of me so I am not afraid to fall headfirst, but most of the time I push myself in the air and fall back on my feet a few seconds later, and if I try to push myself more strongly, I fall on my face a few seconds later. How do I stay in the air?

Persistence I think. I'm trying some of that as well because eventually I want to do frog/crow into handstand but yeah you just gotta keep trying to hold it. It's probably a need to tighten core and shoulder.

Learning some of these things is actually really hard on your own.

I've been doing weighted decline diamond pushups for a while, and I'm itching to get to one-arm pushups.
What's the best progression? Archer pushups? Or is it better to do one-arm pushups on progressively smaller inclines until I can do it flat on the ground?

I had the same problem for a while. I overcame it when I realised that instead of balancing my weight over the centre of my hand, I had to shift it forward a bit while simultaneously focusing on pushing back with my fingers. Now I can do it for 60 seconds. Good luck.

A question I'm asking myself at the moment. I'm going to do straddle 1-arms on progressive inclines until I can do them flat then slowly bring my feet together.

I saw a pull up routine by that Pavlov guy I should probably do but instead I've just been mindlessly pumping out volume every day without counting. I use Fat Gripz btw. Does anyone else use a bar thickener?

What routine is that? Also only bar thickener I use is ya momz.

these shits are so fucking good after diamond push ups are 2easy4u, also great if you want to get to one arm push ups

I have learnt one-hand push-ups thanks to The Naked Warrior" (by Pavel Tsatsouline). I did not have to learn these intermediary techniques.

Do you have a link or download or something?

fuck off pavel no one is reading your shitty picture books

Posting some muscle up motivation, I'd be happy if I could get one as clean as Sai...

Working low reps, trying to keep legs straight and increase height of pulls but haven't seen much progress. Already doing weighted pullups and can already do full russian dips (to armpits)
