I haven't had a drink since. That was my rock bottom. I've known for a few years that I'm an alcoholic. I'm a horrible binge drinker. But I know that was the last alcohol I will ever have.
Please don't let it come to rock bottom. Do whatever else you have to do to stop drinking

I switched to weed. Less expensive, and pretty relaxing when i've just done a workout that day. Also feel less depressive, but it's because i use it in moderation. Never under any circumstances more than 1 joint, and never have bad food in my house when smoking, and make sure i earn it by doing something productive, like cleaning my house.
Some days i don't smoke cus i just don't feel like it.

I quit alcohol after deciding giving it a try once to see what it felt like. I actually haven't gone back since.
after seeing how fucked it actually makes people (including myself) with sober eyes, I realised it's just not worth it for the dumb shit you do and the effects the next day.
my best tip would probably be to bring your own shit, whether it's non-alcoholic beers or energy drinks. Also go there late, since then most people wont even be able to notice. It worked for me, so it might be worth a shot
