I can't be an npc because no one tries to interact with me

choose between escapism or suffering. If you take responsibility, youre a main character (unless youre doing factory work). If you have aristocrat blood and the personality that can transform you into a politican, your a main character.

If you have soyy in your blood and watch cape shit and live a normie life someone else told you was the life to live, youre an NPC.

Holy shit that just solved all my problems

If you experience inner though (like a voice in your head) you're a player

If you're asking yourself if you're an NPC, then that means you're not. an NPC wouldn't be self-aware like that.

This isn't self awareness he's come to of his own accord though. This is an illusion of self awareness caused by others talking about it.

NPCs function almost exclusively by routine and social pressures. If a new social pressure appears, it will have some influence on the NPCs behavior. In this case many NPCs are being exposed to the meme and as a result are trying to adapt to it (memes are intrinsically a social phenomenon), but it doesn't necessarily reflect any true 'self awareness' on the part of the NPC.

you can go deeper and say being aware of NPC is an NPC thing to do to hide that youre an NPC...so i think at a certain point being able to go that deep shows youre not an NPC

Fair point.

Here's a better question: Is it possible for an NPC to conclude they're on they're an NPC from self-analysis alone?

i think i might be the bad guy who is also comic relief character

My first instinct is to say no, as NPCs aren't capable of that level of introspection, and if they were then they wouldn't be NPCs, as they would be able to question their actions and hence act with purpose.

P=NP

In other words, no. The ability to deduce that is a non NPC attribute.

PS I have been sporadically checking Jow Forums for last few years after leaving in 2010 and this my favourite meme in all that time.

If you read this post in your head

What happens when an NPC realizes they're an NPC?

If you have to ask...

potentially (low chance) slowly break out of NPC-dom
More likely ignore / laugh it off / think it's stupid or wrong and go back to their routine

I think everyone but me is npc, and have thought this since 2013. Since I'm not predestined to a certain ending, I have no need to do anything, but I desire greatness.

I hope so. That way I can blame my shit life not on my own agency but forces out of my control.

Breaking out of that would be traumatic

it might look like this

An NPC who's aware that they're an NPC is just breaking the fourth wall or meta-humor, but even being aware of their state doesn't change who they are.

fuck

Of course it is, by definition they aren't self aware. Being aware you aren't self are is self awareness an NPC could never have

If you have to ask you’re not. Npcs aren’t aware they’re not alive. However there are multiple levels of ascending the awoken category

phew

Don't be a default

Ergo Cogito Sum.

NPCs don't think.

Im consistently talking to 'ghosts'.

I make these Predetermined Scenarios with people I know or dont know or with people I never met but potentially could meet.

I go over these scenarios with a range of circumstances.

For example: I will have a conversation with a friend in my mind and I will tell jokes in a variety of settings. In a car, on a boat, at a bar. Whatever. Then when the setting arises I am primed to play out the scenario and drop the joke and punchline flawlessly. Since I already did it a number of times in my head.

That has even gone with romantic settings. I've have literally moved the direction of where I want things to go. As if I was reinacting a movie scene Ive seen 100 times. Knowing what the next line is from the girl I would be talking to and knowing what to say next.

Or in the past, confrontational situations. I was able to get the upper hand on a threat because I played it out in my mind. I make shift spoke to the person and they spoke back and did it all already.

Ofcourse this isn't always the case.

Doing this and having 'moments be predetermined makes things seem fake. Artificial.

But not guiding these artificial moments into play makes things unpredictable, and then that allows life to have a chance to hurt me. Which is rare, the world isnt out to hurt me. But there have been times I just let life flow and I got hurt pretty bad even when I knew the bad was coming. I would hope things would just change for the better on its own.

And worst of all are the times that I didint have a predetermined scenario for. I would be in a setting where something would occur and I would have nothing in my data banks for it. So I would take another predetermined scenario code I did know and use that to fill in the blanks wldor the scenario I was in and end up going full spaghetti. Like not even able to make coherent words and shit and sperg out with my body language.

You're cheating the game. Stop reloading the save.

This whole thing reminds me of Angel Beats

This is the plot of Westworld. You are all NPCs.

CHIM or zero-sum

Nah, that’s just autism, brah. Sorry to break it to ya

None of us have free will, we are ALL NPCs

You're probably playing a simulation where it's up to you to interact with others, or you're an NPC yourself

I have NPD so I already knew I wasn't a real person, checkmate stormfrontcels

Thinking in language, talking to yourself when your alone or having an existential crisis in your teens. Also, through my own studies most players have a thought similar to "the universe functions to create a story for me" when they are very young. Anybody can become a player though, just like how breathing and walking and learnt to be performed automatically, thinking can also become automatic, which must be set to manual mode more than 50% of the time to be a player.

A lot of artists obviously think visually and this way of thinking is very useful, I think its slightly absurd to say certain ways of thinking are evidence of increased sentience. Its just language seems to be the way of thinking used by people with high IQ.

Right?

If people are NPC's and Main characters, I think literally every woman alive is just a follower. Just an NPC with slightly more dialogue options than average and the ability to romance.

Is it possible for a Player to become an npc?
Ever since my ex broke up with me after 5 years relationship, I just feel like I left my soul with her. When she broke up, I just repressed every bad emotion.
I no longer just sit there and think about stuff. I don't get any funny ideas that I can share with my friends.
I just navigate to my work, sit in a cubicle for eight hours, go home, go to the gym, spend two hours doing meme workouts. On weekends I go drinking with my social group, just having casual conversations about absolutely nothing.
My friend who is just going through tough breakup aswell always ask me how am I coping so well, and I just sit there doing adequate facial expressions and just saying some generic template advices
>Give yourself time to heal, bruh!
>It's alright, you just have to make the first step to move on!
How do I get my soul back? I want to feel feels again.
