No, fasting is not good in your situation. Your problem is self control, and fasting only helps you say no to all food. It doesn't help you find a diet that you're able to stick to.

>your problem is self control, and fasting only helps you say no to all food
This is literally the stupidest thing I have ever read on this shit hole website. If a fat person's problem is self-control then eating nothing is the ultimate form of self-control for a fatty. If a fatty can master fasting then eating healthy becomes easy.
OP, nothing will help you lose weight faster than fasting. It's hard. But it will be worth it. You can start with IF or omad to ease into it. Or just go straight into extended water fasts. If you feel weak put a little salt and potassium in your water. Keep going until you think you're going to die. Then keep going because you're not actually going to die. Your fatass is just craving food. You'll know when it's time to eat. And when you do it, start slow. Soup is a good start. Ease into eating. Eat some healthy shit, then go straight back into fasting. It's simple
>mentaly ill faster arrives at record time
Fuck you and your league of skinny fat retards drinking piss
I'm starting a fast tomorrow (or technically today a couple hours ago). Gonna go 7-10 days to cut from ~15% down to 10% bodyfat and see how it goes in terms of strength loss afterwards. Hopefully I don't lose all my gains.
>food addict responds at record time
I bet you don't even lift faggot
/fat/ here No, don't fall for fasting and other fads (carnivore, vegan, keto, paleo, etc). They all only work by creating a calorie deficit. There's nothing particularly special about them and they're rife with issues and high rates of failure.

For 1lb/week weight loss, eat 500 calories less than that
For 2lb/week weight loss, eat 1000 calories less than that
Your best bet is to completely revamp what you eat. A typical day for me is:
>breakfast: milk, fiber one cereal, 2 eggs
>lunch: yogurt, almonds, chicken thigh, broccoli
>dinner: fish and spinach
Post body
Just eat yourself to death, fatty. You already ruined your body and do it because you posted that shitty fucking meme.
where do i find that table?
There's no magic diet. You need to consume fewer calories than you burn.
Fasting, keto, vegan, carnivore, calorie counting, whatever the fuck, find one that you can stick too and allows you to eat fewer calories.
Do Phrack's Greyskull LP. Google it.
Do some cardio on off days, walking if you're really fat, something more intense if you're only moderately fat.
Don't measure results in days, but in many weeks or months. If something isn't working measurably after 2-3 months, change it.
That's it. That's the key. It is literally that simple.
Stop eating 16 oz of broccoli it will fuck your thyroid up. It did mine
The sticky is trash. Here is a much better crash course for you...
Any method by which the following is true will work for you and will show you some form of gradual improvement:
1. You take in all required water and nutrients to keep your body functioning in a reasonably healthy capacity
2. You can sleep an appropriate amount of time to function properly mentally and physically
3. You eat at a weekly caloric deficit to lose weight, or eat a caloric surplus to gain weight while still fulfilling directive 1
4. You choose a type of exercise at an intensity, volume, and frequency that you can steadily increase to force your body into perpetually growing in order to adapt to this progressively increasing workload
5. You provide yourself enough time off of exercising each week to let your body repair itself, grow, and adapt
Now pick literally anything and do it for a month and if you aren't steadily improving try something else. Eventually something will work.
Stop eating shit, get on a caloric deficit, hit protein macros, lift that's all you need fatass
read the stick yand stop posting the shitty forced meme
This is literally the most fucking stupid thing I have ever read.
Op, do 12/12 fasting for a week, then 10/14 the next week. 8/16 the next week. 4/20 the week after, and switch to omad afterwards.
If you do this, you will drop shit tons of weight by doing nothing else.
Nooooooooooooooooooooo
the ultimate for of self control for a fat fuck would be to have a healthy diet with regular exercise. no point forcing yourself to do something stupid like fasting
Data like the minnesota trial shows that fat fucks who straight-up fast have better outcomes and keep the weight off whereas the ones who just ate at a deficit had a much harder time and also relapsed afterwards. It's basically detoxing off food addiction and also fixing their fucked-up hormones that keep them perma-hungry.
I say do whatever works. If you try a fast for a week and lose like 7-14 lbs and are able to keep it off, then great. Do whatever works.
It's been good for me. So far I've dropped over 40+ lbs since I started in May. I do intermittent fasting coupled with some prolonged fasts, a LCHF diet along with exercise and walking everyday.
I am not sure of your current weight at the moment, but if you claim that you are a 'fatty' then that means you may have developed an unhealthy relationship with food. I believe that starting one of the IF protocols might be what you need to reset that toxic relationship. You can start with a 14:10 (14 hour fast and 10 hour eating window) and slowly keep on shortening your eating window as you get more comfortable with fasting for longer periods of time.
If you are interested in starting I would recommend just learning to eat within the time window FIRST. Don't worry about what you are eating for now. Once you have gotten more comfortable eating within a 10 hour timeframe and you have gotten out of that 2-3 week transitional period then look into changing up your current diet with healthier foods. I found that once I was able to fast properly my tastebuds became way more sensitive. Pre-packaged foods and a number of foods in restaurants that I used to like are really disgusting to me now. I prefer cooking and preparing my own food at home. If I eat something sweet or junky that I still like I exhibit way better self-control about how much I eat of it. Seeing people eat no longer makes me hungry either. Coincidentally, I have days where I eat all day or just eat whatever I want and not have to worry about 'fucking up my diet.'
The most important thing to me when I started was not to feel as if I'm depriving myself of food and I don't feel as if I'm doing that with IF. I would recommend looking for more information before you start doing any prolonged fasts so that you make sure that you are getting enough electrolytes.
Oh it’s great.
Just cut calories to a decent deficit
fasting is a meme

holy fuck this is real

>If something isn't working measurably after 2-3 months, change it.
this is a huge fucking waste of time.
you should see results IMMEDIATELY, after one week even, maybe two if you're patient or depending on the program.
do NOT waste fucking MONTHS of your life before checking your progress. what kind of mentally weak pansy ass fucking estrogen laced bullshit is that? you fucking wimp. MAN THE FUCK UP FAT ASS. YOU NEED TO BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR YOUR WEIGHT LOSS WHICH MEANS INDISPUTABLE FACTS ABOUT YOUR PROGRESS.
fucking fat brained piece of shit.
Chill my nigga, he’s just addressing the issue many dieters face when the eat healthy for like 3 days and get discouraged when nothing happens.
then those people also have fat brains and they don't deserve to be skinny or even alive for that matter
Do you shave with that edge?
Getting discouraged after three days or whatever is, and I use this forced meme with awareness that it's a forced meme but also unironically, an NPCs way of relinquishing responsibility for their being a fat sack of shit.
>I mean, I tried. It didn't work. I'm just meant to be this way. Abloobloobloo, POOOR me, POOOOOOR MeeeEeEeE!! Might as well eat another pack of Chips Ahoy! AbloooBloooBLooOoo.
No thinking person with a proper internal monologue and self awareness could think that way.
I mean yeah they’re weak willed, I was just saying you were triggered so hard by that section of his post for no reason.
It just reflects my own self loathing of the part of myself that let me become as fat as I have/had. Not that I ever avoided measuring myself or got discouraged by seeing no results (never had that problem using simple cico) but I just hate fat logic.
Just shouldn't encourage that way of thinking. Keeping yourself accountable with EARLY and frequent measurements are good in just about every way. Keeps you goal oriented, and gives you a better understanding of your body and how your weight fluctuates throughout your weeks.
Saying it's okay to be nervous of the scale at first just perpetuates that it's okay to be mentally weak, IMO. Nothing is dumber than being afraid of facts anyhow.
I'm sure I'm just preaching to the choir at this point though.
OP you should definitely be measuring as often as you remember, make it a daily habit and keep track of it.
1lb/week is way too slow
cope fatty
>hurr fasting is bad you'll gain it all back!
Wrong, there are health benefits and it's way easier to maintain weight once you get there. People won't necessarily start binging like retards when they stop, give these people a little credit.
