>finally finish school and go to uni
>gotta study at least 10 hours a day 6 days a week
>feeling extremely fatigued on Sunday while still having shitloads of homework to do
>feel my gains fading away with each passing day
Finally finish school and go to uni
>finally finish uni and go to law school
>gotta study 18 hours a day 7 days a week
>still find time to go to the gym
You're a bitch.
>implying studying at home is actual studying
>that one freshman who ignores social interaction because he thinks it's really necessary to study 60 hours a week
>that one freshman who ignores social interaction and ignores studying to spend all his time in the gym or playing vidya
That guy is me
>go to university
>major in STEM
>study maybe 2 hours per week
>still get a 3.0
>enjoy my college experience
>party
>have sex
>make friends
did i do it wrong?
>last year of Uni, mix of EZ electives and high level engineering courses
>Engineering courses have no busywork BS just learn the material and take the exams
>"Intro to Film" is a joke, half the class periods are just watching a movie
>One of my courses next semester is literally Weight Training
Feelsgood
Chill the fuck out though, no one needs to study 60 hours a week as a freshman.
This. What the fuck, OP?
well you chose to be a low performance normie, enjoy the rest of your life with shit pay.
>tfw my uni refuses to make intro to film count towards my programs credits
>tfw i've been fighting this on the grounds that the whole point of university is to grow and learn, not follow some set path where every class has to be related to eachother
I think I might actually get the credit to count.
>Weight Training as an actual class
Lucky bastsrd. What uni do you attend?
>Studying 10 hours per day
>As a freshman
Are you sub 60 iq or something?
Not even in my hardest semesters have I had the need to study anything remotely close to 10h per day.
>enjoy the rest of your life with shit pay
i got 2.8 in EE, still gonna have a guaranteed job with 3k euro starting pay
>he thinks grades matter in uni
the absolute state of this unit
This
ohhhh noooooo i have so much homework! how am i ever gonna survive oh nooooooooooooooo
>finally finish school and go to uni 4 years ago
>start a robotics and computer science course at the top university in my country, which ranked pretty highly internationally as well, especially in computer science.
>breeze trough the course, party two times a week, workout regularly and smoke weed everyday throughout my bachelor
>get accepted into the masters course
>I don't even consider myself particularly intelligent and learning is never something that have come easy for me
I worked much much harder in high school. Grades are subpar though, will try to make a change on the masters.
>job with 3k euro starting pay
please tell me you are talking about net pay, otherwise kys
ofc it's net pay you autist,
who tf has 3k brutto as an EE ?
where tf do you go to school
>do 6-8 hrs of work a day
>drink a few days a week
>have a 3.85
econ major btw
>that one freshman who failed 4 classes his first semester and got put on academic probation because he was too busy smoking weed and drinking alcohol for 3 months straight
>that one freshman who gained 70lbs constantly eating all the food in the dining hall after a bender
>that one freshman was me
>gotta study at least 10 hours a day 6 days a week
You need to literally be retarded to think that this is even a remotely good idea.
Seriously though if you're a freshman and need to study 10 hours a DAY to succeed you might as well drop out and get that McDonalds Internship because your life in academia is going to be a living hell.
Good at you. GPA is important, but sanity is important as well. Your gpa will suffer if you go full autismo and don't socialize.
Not at all if you're trying to get into grad school.
One of my biggest regrets was not taking my freshman year seriously enough. I got about a 2.8 average my freshman year, and over the course of three more years I barely could pull it up to a 3.25. This is absolutely wrecking my chances for graduate school.
Don't fall for the meme anons, get good grades unless you want to be a wagecuck that hates their job. Trust me, people who graduated my EE department with less that a 3.0 went straight into technical sales, the bitchwork of the field. Sure you make decent money, but its literally nothing like you signed up for.
Those are rookie numbers, but good job. Don't listen to the rest of these idiots who think just cause you CAN get away with laziness in college means that you should.
>3rd year of EE
>around 20 hours of work a week
>kinda bored with it and think about quitting and maybe go study like music or something
you have nothing yet and you will be surprised how little "average" engineers actually get paid outside of your bubble
>implying
full autismo here. no friends in college and i'm still always on top on every exam.
True. For a lot, read not all, of people their mental health will suffer without any form of socializing.
Hot take, if you still read the books you haven't learned how to game the system effectively.
t. final semester STEM grad student
>people work long shifts in actual jobs
>roofing
>scaffolding
>literally wading chest deep in other people's shit
etc.
Jobs that physically wreck people by the time they're 50.
>OP burned out sitting on his fucking arse reading books and shitposting on here
>do thing
>think about thing
different kinds of stress, laborer
Bullshit. I studied at a world-ranked elite uni and I still got plenty of time to lift 6 times a week at the uni gym.
god you're fuckin retarded
>o no i need to do this physical activity that i do everyday and that i have gotten used to after 3 months of doing it daily
there's no similar way of getting used to studying because you're always learning new shit.
I argue the complete opposite. I pay to learn something specific. I can be a neo faggot liberal hippie on my own time
The point is it could be so much worse. Your 'job' involves studying; would you rather be doing that or working outside in the rain for 8 hours per day?
Suck it up, you fucking faggots.
You misunderstood. I meant that I am full autismo, but I picked an easy major so I pretty much just lift and play games while still doing better than my normie classmates.
I unironically have 0 friends or connections made in 3rd year of undergrad now
Some days I would much rather be in the rain digging a ditch than writing a 25pg literature review. You have the ability to turn your brain off and just do something repetitive. I really enjoy long runs on the treadmill for exactly this reason.
Neither of these jobs are easy, but I get the impression that the last time you did anything academic was in High School where you had to write a 3pg paper for Mrs. White's class.
that's a ridiculous point. "uhh dude you could be starving in africa right now so stop complaining!!"
also i think you're a brainlet judging by how you think studying is so easy. physical jobs may be hard initially but your body adapts to it and then it gets easier. studying is always hard.
I work 40 hour weeks and have to do both of those things. I would fucking kill to only have to study again.
There's another aspect that you are missing. When you work an 8hr shift you have someone telling you exactly what to do and how to do it. When you write papers or something all day you have the ability to just say "fuck it" watch videos and shitpost. Studying exercises self-control and that is mentally exhausting compared to labor being physically exhausting. You're comparing apples and oranges.
