One of my biggest regrets was not taking my freshman year seriously enough. I got about a 2.8 average my freshman year, and over the course of three more years I barely could pull it up to a 3.25. This is absolutely wrecking my chances for graduate school.

Don't fall for the meme anons, get good grades unless you want to be a wagecuck that hates their job. Trust me, people who graduated my EE department with less that a 3.0 went straight into technical sales, the bitchwork of the field. Sure you make decent money, but its literally nothing like you signed up for.

Those are rookie numbers, but good job. Don't listen to the rest of these idiots who think just cause you CAN get away with laziness in college means that you should.

Some days I would much rather be in the rain digging a ditch than writing a 25pg literature review. You have the ability to turn your brain off and just do something repetitive. I really enjoy long runs on the treadmill for exactly this reason.

Neither of these jobs are easy, but I get the impression that the last time you did anything academic was in High School where you had to write a 3pg paper for Mrs. White's class.

also i think you're a brainlet judging by how you think studying is so easy. physical jobs may be hard initially but your body adapts to it and then it gets easier. studying is always hard.

I work 40 hour weeks and have to do both of those things. I would fucking kill to only have to study again.

There's another aspect that you are missing. When you work an 8hr shift you have someone telling you exactly what to do and how to do it. When you write papers or something all day you have the ability to just say "fuck it" watch videos and shitpost. Studying exercises self-control and that is mentally exhausting compared to labor being physically exhausting. You're comparing apples and oranges.
