Yes. Good luck, buddy.

Don't eat over 2000calories today, Godspeed.

How many calories a day are you going to eat? At your size you can eat a lot and still lose weight, but you need to track them.

Yep, we all gonna make it :) just start it and keep pushing yourself

Good luck man. Just remember on days you feel defeated, remember how far you've come.

Making it is 80% Diet 20% exercise.
>former fatty
Don't overwork yourself, start with 1 mile
>broke a small bone in my foot riding my bike 5 miles first day trying to exercise as a fatty

Start lifting. Channel the spirit of Fatlifts. Your weight can be an advantage in lifting. Also, you’ll probably have loose skin if you diet down to a normal weight, so you need to fill it out with muscle

Ideally I'm going to stick to no more than 2000 a day. A while back I tried for 1200 a day and started losing my shit after a few days because it felt like I was starving to death. But 2000 is definitely manageable for me.

Try Push Ups and use just as much height to place your hands on that you can do about 12 til you can`t do anymore. If you make it is completely up to you man, but good luck.

I'll keep that in mind, but how do I overcome feeling like I'm just not doing enough?

Almost feels like I'm not earning anything when I don't aim high.

>fat lifts
This is a real thing
>288lbs 5'7
>deadlifted 200lbs first day in the gym
>benching 130lbs

No I didn't play football, just bloat maxed all the way through puberty and gained a ton of muscle. Just wished I bloat maxed with real food and not Doritos
>may have been 6ft+

Really appreciate all the encouragement, guys. It means the world to me.

I'm gonna better myself and stick to it this time.

Attached: 20180911_162705.jpg (1721x1457, 1.23M)

Try splitting it up throughout the day if possible. Its a fine line between too much and not enough, It's going to be trial and error.

It's better to stay consistent than to aim (too) high and then quit... focus on diet from now on, ditch all take outs and sodas and don't lie to yourself about calories. Don't think there will be instant rewards, it's a slow but steady process ideally. With consistency and discipline, you will make it user

Just some more encouragement, Looks like you have a good chin, may even have a nice jawline under all that.

Try to listen to your body (except the stomach of course). If your knees can't handle the 3 miles a day, it might be best to go swimming 3 times a week.

Also, try to look for healthy foods that you actually enjoy. Like fish? See if you can eat surimi sticks as a snack. Like meat? Prepare it with salt and pepper and compensate by not adding any salt to your other food. Drink enough water, maybe even drink a protein shake an hour before bed so you don't go to sleep feeling hungry.

If you like you can start hitting the gym and lift weights to complement (it's pretty motivating but I understand that some people despise the gym, don't know your case)
Also if you're fat because you eat shit try to gradually increase fruits and vegetables in your diet, the idea is to reduce the caloric intake to avoid getting fat while gaining muscle.
If you're fat just because you eat a lot just start drinking 1 liter of water (it's 1/4 gallon, just in case) before eating. It will keep you fresh and hydrated.
Also for fucks sake hide everything that can make you surrender to your urges (e.g. never leave a bag of chips over the table, if you walk past it you will look at it and inevitably want to eat. If instead you put it in a place where you can't easily see it, your brain won't feel the urge because it won't be constantly reminded that there is a tasty unhealthy shit around).
You can do it user, hope my advice helps.
Good luck in your path to self improvement.

Don’t let us down. Godspeed fatass

Pick up heavy things and put them down again.
I've lost 40 pounds, and gotten a lot stronger. I was literally your weight months ago. Getting stronger helps motivate you more. It also means you have more muscle mass which helps you to burn more energy. In a year from now I will be in a much better position than if I only ate less.

That actually motivated me way more than I would have thought.

Thanks so much, user.

My weight comes from a mixture of poor eating habits and low physical activity. I'm trying to alter both but my college has mostly unhealthy food, so I'm still working on finding stuff that I can eat that isn't so bad.

I'm not at all opposed to the gym, and will use the college gym for the walking I'm going to do.

My biggest issue is I'm not completely socially retarded but I definitely get anxious about whether I'm using weights right and shit, so I've steered clear of the area. I'll have to force myself to just deal with it.

Only really get the anxiety the first time doing something anyway, right?

Listen to this user
You can do it user you will make it fitness is for life not for next month remember that

Appreciate the advice, user. I'll definitely have to start devoting time to weight lifting.

Maybe someday it won't be hard for me to stand up.

Attached: 20180911_164824.jpg (1846x1507, 1.28M)

Put all your books and shit in your backpack put it on your front and get up for reps

Actually a really good idea. I'll do that before my walks.

>Maybe someday it won't be hard for me to stand up.

Motherfucking squats. Love them. Do them.
When I get up in the morning, I do as many squats as I feel I can without fucking up my legs for the day. Currently I do 20 before starting the day. Only on days I don't lift of course, because THOSE days I do weighted squats and I don't want to tire myself out. On the days I lift I do only 5 squats in the morning just for the feel of things. Then at night before going to sleep I do as many squats as I can handle immediately before crawling into bed.

You may have trouble doing just five squats each day starting out, but within days or at most a month you will find that squats are easy for you, your mobility improves, and you have no trouble doing any kind of standing squatting or kneeling.

If your problem is snacking and eating huge meals, as it was for me, consider Intermittent Fasting with only One Meal A Day. It has completely crushed my craving problem for snacks and allowed me to get control of my calorie intake. The only snack I allow myself are cans of mackerel. Sardines work too. They're tasty as fuck, savory as all hell, and filling. Best part is they're basically pure protein (and some fat from oil). It will also give you some healthy fish oils.

If I've finished my fuckhuge one meal for the day but feel like maybe I'm a little peckish an hour or two later at the most, I will crack open one of these bad boys.

You should also definitely count your calories. How can you know if you've over-filled or under-filled your tank if you aren't keeping track of what goes in it?

Daily squats, got it.

Thanks for the advice, I'll try doing them first thing in the morning too.

Forgot the pic of my mackerel.

Is MyFitnessPal an alright app for tracking them?
I'll do my best to use that.

I've noticed that I tend to prefer two meals a day that are of decent size. It leaves me feeling less hungry in general. I have one around noon, and the other around 8-9PM, with sleep around 1-2AM. Is this a bad idea, or should I keep doing this?

>Only really get the anxiety the first time doing something anyway, right?
Gyms are usually proactive environments, therefore they are there to help you and motivate you. If you have any issues or complications with exercises, just ask the instructor: they are there to help.
As personal reference, I started the gym yesterday. I was afraid that I was looking as a retard trying to make abs and failing over and over again so I took the courage to approach the instructor. I was thinking to myself that it was pretty humiliating to ask how to do such a simple and universally known exercise right but if I didn't do it I would lose my time trying to figure out myself.
The moment I asked the instructor the man just started explaining and showing how to do them in a way that would be simple and easier. Nobody looked at me, nobody laughed at me. Everyone at the gym was minding their own bussiness, in fact I was the one looking around and caring if anybody was watching.
Also yesterday I accidentally dropped two discs and made hella noise, I was also anxious and felt terribly useless and autistic but some dude just came, helped me picking them from the ground and kept minding his bussiness.
So basically yes, the first step is just going there. The rest is done if you do that first axt of showing up.
The gym personal is glad to help you and people around you are either going to ignore you or help you if you're having a hard time.
Think to yourself, if you were in the gym and somebody new was having trouble, would you laugh at them or you would feel empathy because you've been in the same place as them back in the day? Exactly. That's what people do if they see you having a hard time: ignore you at worst or help you at best.
Don't be afraid of showing up and fucking up eventually, everybody that's there has been new to the gym once in their lives.

I hear good things about MyFitnessPal, but I just use a notepad and pen for both calories and for my weight lifting progress. I also plan my meals out in advance so that nothing is left to impulse.

As for eating, do what works for you. However I do recommend trying to move them closer to each other so you can get some of the benefits of intermittent fasting even with two meals.
Feel free to try one meal a day intermittent fasting though. You need to stick to it for two weeks if you do. The first week may be hard but it seriously gets easy the second week. You're so used to fueling yourself in the middle of the day when you don't actually need to do that. I strongly recommend it. But if it doesn't work, feel free to ask questions on the /fast/ general or making a thread about it and people will help. You can always go back to what you're doing now.

Get in the gym and lift as heavy as you can. Do cardio before and after lifting. Try to make smarter diet choices. Drink lots of water. Be patient and kind to yourself. Good luck homie!

Yeah, you make some good points. In any case, I think that I would rather make myself into something I can be proud of and make some embarrassing mistakes than shy away from it and stay where I am in my life.

You’re going to make it dude. When things get hard, remember your goals. You have a nice body for being as fat as you are, you’ll be stud dude. Be patient, it’s going to take years. No homo. I started 247 and I’m 186.

If I were to try out one meal, what time of day would you recommend eating?

In the past, I've had a hard time sleeping while hungry, which is why I tend to eat a meal only a few hours before I sleep.

Thanks, man! I'll be sure to come back here if I ever start feeling like giving up.

You guys are doing wonders for my motivation and inspiration.

Those who do things eventually fail.
Those who do nothing never fail.
But also keep in mind that people who do things end up having achivmevements to be proud of, while people who do nothing can only say that they never commited an error.

A few hours before sleep is good. I go to sleep at 9:00pm and I am home from work to eat dinner at around 4:00pm.

This.

I also enjoy going to the Fat People Hate threads for motivation. You think you're fat? You're nothing. You will see horrors to quell whatever bad thoughts you have about the path you're taking. You must NOT become like those creatures.

I visit the /FPH/ thread in the morning before leaving for work and before going to sleep.

Do it like a Turkish get up switching arms on reps

- When you start craving look at thos pictures or just take your shirt off and look in the mirrror. Ask yourself if that's what you want to be.

- Don't cheat for a good while. It will make you crave hard af for it, trust me.

- Don't check your weight too often 'cause it will feel slow af.

You're going to make it breh

start by not eating you fucking lard golem

Best of luck to you, user. I mean that sincerely

>Am I gonna make it Jow Forums?
How could we possibly tell you that.

/fasting/ general user trust me

You'll make it, just don't compare yourself to others-- only to what you were the day before.

you havent got actual gyno, its just fat, and you got a decent amount of chest hair, which means you have pretty high testosterone levels, as long as you exercise hard minimum 1 hour per day and drink only water and eat large amounts of vegetables before anything else you will make it. As long as you do it 7 days a week that is, fat fuck.

Godspeed, OP. You will become an absolute unit.

You're gonna make it in 6 months to year
keep going strong fatnon

60 pounds down here, user.

Weight loss is gonna be stupid easy at first. Weight will fall off with the slightest change in your eating habits. But you will hit a plateau and you will have to do something to get over that hump. Intermittent fasting has helped me a lot.

I believe in you user

Cut out sugar, works wonders.

It is bad yes, but not even that bad if we consider your weight.
keep the work up, eat 2000cal a day and try to move everyday, go for a walk, use your bicycle more and (if you confident enough) try swimming. Its still the best way to exercise for an fatty. or try the gym, use the machines.
Eating healthy and do sports is easy, but to do it everyday for a damn long time is the hard part.

The steps you take don't need to be big, they just need to take you in the right direction.

Good Luck!

>What else should I incorporate?
Fork put downs to failure.

exercise wont do anything. fast. u can inly lose 100 calories for every mile you run. would u rather run a marathon or not eat for a day

Snake diet. 5 day fast, 2 days eat. Repeat until you are no longer a fat fuck. You should lose 30 to 40lbs a month.

Good news is your skin looks like it will recover nicely.

You have the body type that will throw up some serious weight, if you get into strength training.

Incorporate it into your schedule somewhere. And don't falter on that obligation to yourself. Never let yourself skip a day. If you absolutely have to postpone your work out, Do it asap.
From my experience, I'll warn you this may or may not happen to you. You're gonna feel great for a few months and make serious gains. Once that high wears off you'll feel like you've hit a wall, or it's becoming a real monotonous grind probably even if your weight is slowly going down. You might start to think what is even the point in looking good, anyway. But just stick to your schedule. It'll all be worth it

Patience, will, and consistency. We're all gonna make it user

>you can do about 12 til you can`t do anymore
huh?

you could honestly probably do around 2400 and still lose weight desu would also be easier to maintain
you WILL make it my friend
just make sure you maintain a reasonable deficit or youre gonna burn out
a lot of people try to just eat 1200 or 2k and burn out but if you manage to maintain even a 500 calorie deficit with cardio the weight WILL disappear it just takes time and consistency
godspeed brother I believe in you

>get a tiny barbell set from walmart and do barbell circuit training every other day
>on days in between do up to an hour walk
>get some of those battle ropes and go to town on those in a HIIT form
>cut soda today, get a 1 liter water bottle and fill it up everyday
>cut out the garbage food

here's the weight set I suggest: a.co/d/bc77o0c

Light enough that you can do them at high frequency, which is what you need. Also, 1 handful is your serving size. Portion control starts now.

>would u rather run a marathon or not eat for a day

*blinks*

I never thought of it that way.

Don't fucking lie to him. Honestly power through it and stick to around 1500 ish. NEVER EVER EVEN REACH 2000. DON'T BE FOOLED BRO I FELL INTO THAT TRAP SO MANY TIMES WHEN I WAS FAT

Start small and enjoy small victories, even if they feel insignificant to you, you are still improving, then you do a little more bit by bit, until you reach your first goal, and then the next etc.

Rucking google it.

Would you suggest this for a female to do too? Im not as overweight as OP. I currently dont do any squats though only walking and running.

Yes good on ya! You're gonna make it!

Squats are great for everyone. And as a female, once you get thin, you want dem thighs and dat ass. More importantly though it's a functional movement that is valuable for anyone who is fat.

How heavy are you? Depending on how less overweight you are there might be better options. Hell, if you're only a little bit overweight you might even be good to just start running. A good workout routine for women would likely be different from one for men.

1500 He won't gain any muscle, in fact he will lose muscle doing that.

ADVICE FROM ONE FATTY TO ANOTHER:

I was 280 back in may and I'm down to 249 now,
gym is important but if you're looking to lose weight proper dieting is essential.
