Do you clean your equipment?

Hey. I go to a public gym. When I lift weights, do I need to clean them afterwards? What types of weights do I need to clean? Do I clean them before I use them or after I use them?

I go to a gym called "Crunch Fitness."

I dont really produce any sweat so i dont bother, and i shower right beforr i go to the gym. If i left any kind of residue id for sure clean it off though.

Why shower BEFORE gym? Seems counter productive unless you go to bed right after the gym.

>going to bed covered in sweat
Not only is that foul, but how can you even sleep like that? Aren't you itchy as fuck getting in bed unshowered?

I go to the gym before work and i always do morning showers

I bet you shower with soap everyday like a skinlet.

Man this bitch is ugly as sin. I hate when ugly people try to cover up their uglyiness

I only get gym stank like 8 hours after gym so id rather go feeling fresh mentally for my session

You dont wipe it down unless you visibly leave sweat on the equipment, or if you're in the machine area where the girls and old people workout then you always wipe them down with soap

If I feel like in smelly I'll take a quicker shower to freshen up. Dont want to walk around the gym smelling like complete ass.

So you wipe it down using soap and paper towel that the gym provides. My question is, do you gather this material to wipe down the equipment before you go use the equipment or do you grab the material, put it in your pocket, use the machine, and then wipe it down?

What

>finish using equipment
>go grab cleaning supplies
>wipe it down

what if you finish using it, then someone goes and takes your machine before you cleaned it down?

I don't wipe down after, only before.

People need to take responsibility for their own hygeine, not others.

If you sweat on the machine, then yes it's the considerate thing to do to wipe your sweat off when you're done. If you see someone else's sweat on the machine then it's probably sanitary and sensible to wipe it off and possibly with disinfectant if any is available before you use it.

That's their problem at that point

I usually use all the different machines during one run at the gym though.

First I go and do 30 minutes of cardio at 12 minutes per mile. Then I spent the next 20-30 minutes going through all the different machines. I only do about maybe 10 uses per machine. I usually go through each machine. Do I need to clean each one?

I will clean up after myself if the gym makes it fairly convenient (disposable wipes or spray cleaner with a rag relatively nearby). I go to an LA Fitness now and they just have this foam shit you pump into a paper towel, and it feels like it doesn't really do anything. So now I just clean up the equipment before I use it if it looks wet from sweat or grease.

lel she looks normal id give her a 5/10

>crunch fitness
well thats not a good omen

which crunch do you go to mate? dont have to say specific, but what city

Just use a towel bro

I always clean the bench or equipment I'm going to use before and after I use it. I always shower afterwards (wear shower shoes, got tinea, fuck that shit is hard to get rid of).

I'm a bit of a clean freak - but I wouldn't imagine it's really that bad.

san marcos california

yea i had a fungus too on my skin. i put on this stuff on my body for like 15 days and it went away

I've had it pretty chronically on the sole of my foot for a while. I use methylated spirits and an antifungal cream and it starts going away but I always get a bit slack and it comes back.

Yes clean after at least

>ackchually elbows too pointy, 1/10 would not fuck

same reason why I wash my hands before pissing, not after

>machines

I don't wipe down shit, I'll put my weights back but unless there's a literal puddle on the bench idgaf

>tfw left leg press machine all wet after myself
>didn't have a towel to clean it up
Fuck, so embarrassing.

>that 30 year old boomer who does machine round robins
