So I just started walking for about 5 hours a day and I have a LITTLE bit of blisters on my foot. Should I change shoes? Or what? Any suggestions?

New shoes - preferably ones that fit this time.

Mine do fit thought. They are relatively new too.

Yes. I am. I'm not kidding either, I could go longer too, should I? I want to get fit bad. I want to lose 30 lbs.

Walk with only socks.

>not walking at least 20 miles/day

Boomers are right about millennials being so lazy

They probably dont fit as right as you think. It took me a while to get used to wearing my real size because i usually got larger shoes which gave blisters

Okay I have been too. Keep in mind it is just one small blister but its at the tip of my toe a few centimeters below the toenail. Is it common when you first start doing this?

You might be right but I THOUGHT these were a size smaller than I usually wear.

Your determination to lose weight is inspiring user

Wear thick athletic socks or just wear 2 pairs at a time

Okay ty.

wear 2 socks for a while or put something soft over your blisters until they're gone. Eventually your feet will get used to it, the skin will harden and you wont get hurt anymore. just keep walking.

Flip flops or barefoot.

When you walk change socks, and your probably wearing cotton socks; they cause blisters. Wear running socks. Runnerfag here

Better fit socks
Foot shouldnt move around the shoe when walking

Not eating aka fasting is a much faster method...

I'm fasting as well but I can't stop eating completely wont that damage your body? Like a lot?

If you eat, you're not fasting. If you're fat enough you can go for weeks without problems, just be sure to drink water. It's not as if food was always readily available to our ancestors. Besides, why else would there be a /fast/ general on fit?

Im not even technically medically over weight so idk if i can go without eating. Im 5'4 feet and 130lbs

your body needs to adjust to suddenly walking that distance, 5 miles is a decent hike if you're new to it. Your skin will toughen up over time, dial back the walking and then ramp up as appropriate once you're healed up (Don't pop the blister, put a band aid on it to protect it, but let air get at it when you're not walking). Sounds like your shoes are new - they take time to break in.

Post a pic of body and i will tell how many days you can fast

i used to walk 10 miles a day and got some gnarly blisters at first. keep pushing, they'll turn into manly calluses, then you'll be able to walk barefoot on broken glass.

consider wearing higher quality socks

God only fucking fatties actually believe the bare minimum exercise of walking is going to make them lose weight

Leukotape a hotspot when a hotspot begins to form. Leukotape is breathable, strong, and stays on even when your feet get sweaty and wet; it's superior to moleskine and duct tape. Happy hiking!

I... Do this for 6 hours for the next 30 years

Op I wear Merrill moab 2's

nothing to worry about, it will fall off and the skin under it will be stronger. so after time, you won't get blisters anymore.

WHY NOT BOTH YOU FAT FUCK

How good are the sole inserts? I put some of the more expensive soles into cheap shoes and the difference is really nice. Without them my feet ache until morning, with the inserts, I don't feel a thing.

OP use these and keep doing what you're doing. You'll stop getting blisters eventually

What? You don't really even have to exercise to lose weight
