But how is fasting a cheat code if you are a skelly? I started lifting 3 years ago at 110lbs, which I had been most of my life. I'm up to 160lbs with decent results, but nothing like your 6 months results. Basically I'm saying you were already in shape (good build, not a skelly, not a fatty) and then you started training and eating right.

this is 7 months of excercising 3 times a week with full body workout and a strict diet, that was actually around 2600 calories.
So not sure user, perhaps you just have bad genetics, or your workout is crap. I for one always do reps to failure, and if I can go above 13 reps, I increase the weight. Seems to be working out for me.
First I was not in good shape. This was me not too long ago. I wasn’t this big when I started fasting but I was starting to return to it. And I’m 5’6 so I’m kinda short.
At first when I wasn’t lifting I was doing 18 hour fasts with the occasional 48 hour fast but as I started lifting I switched to a 18 hour fast daily. When I wanted to start cutting to show more progress I did a 18 hour fast on workout days which involves full body and fasting the next day until my next workout in the morning which meant I was fasted for 36ish hours before the gym and ate my first meal after.
i eat 3000 calories a day, I've done everything from a 5 rep range to a 12.
ive done literally everything necessary to progress. and yet i can still only lift 1 pl8 on bench.
doesnt matter what i do. i cant get fit

For some it might be just genetics. What you do is just accept you have a hard time building muscle and work with what you have. The way you look is definately better than being a fat slob. You might not go full Baine, but that's allright. Just verify if you're doing everything right and your workout is good before you blame genetics. 3000cal for some guys is still not enough. You look pretty slim, try increasing calories until you see you're actually putting on fat. Then you'll know where is your limit.
For me 2600 was a bulking amount because I kept starving myslef for years so my basic metabolic rate is completely fucked. And also my arms, which are the only decent looking part if you ask me, I made using 9kg dumbbells and just doing Arnod's 7s for bicep and cables for triceps. That is literally all I did. And I kill myself for a good chest, and still end up with minimal progress.
Or you guys could lift and exercise to not feel like a piece of shit 24/7 and use it as a keystone habit to create at least one point of stability in your sad and aimless lives and use the discipline you've gained from sticking with exercise in order to improve other aspects of your life. Or fuck it do steroids and take the easy way out like you've been doing your whole life. The only point in exercising is looking like a space marine right?!

Now this simply isn't true. Your build and genetics may be against you, but the sticky is correct.
Track your calories, EVERY SINGLE DAY. OVEREAT. Trust me. I was eating 4000 calories about a year into my "gains" and developed quite a gut while not making great progress on muscles gains. This lesson showed me I was actually growing, but muscle growth takes time, especially when you are a skelly. Your body is going to grow slowly and linearly, unless you over or under eat. Its going to take real time and dedication (unless you roid). Just stick with it, track it, be dedicated. 3 days, real workouts, EVERY WEEK. 3000 Calories, every single day. Do it!

For some the road indeed is longer and harder than others, but I think everyone can get what they want. At least when it comes to weightlifting and if you're not going to go for a monster ripped look.

For you guys who are feeling boy, I'm gonna put myself on blast. This is me (regrettably) from 2014-NOW. For me it's enormous progress, I feel great, bigger and stronger than I have been in my entire life, but for others they will laugh it off as meager and shit. Skelly mode and malnutrition is a hard climb.
The only excuses I can make for myself are not sticking to a strict gym routine (during a year I was working two jobs and going to school, hardly hit the gym that year) and backpacking in between these times, which usually resulted in me losing 10 lbs easy from my 160lb frame, multiple times lol. Anyhow, don't feel bad. If you stick with it you will get result, even if you COMPLETELY half ass it like me.

i do squats low and high bar, OHP, side lateral raises front raises, i also did bodyweight + weights for a time but volume was too much.
i do behind the head dumbell tricep extensions, bilateral tricep kickbacks. weighted dips with chains, pullups, chin ups.
my warmup set is 50 pushups for 3 sets on chest day plus some other shit.
im 5'8 135lbs.
my diet looks like this.
breakfast
>6 eggs fried, 1 bowl oatmeal, 2 peanutbutter sandwiches on ezekiel bread
lunch
>3 cups rice, 1 can black beans, 2 avocado, 2 bananas, 2 cups organic stonyfield cottage cheese
dinner
>2 chicken breasts 3 cups broccoli, 2 cups organic greek yogurt plain stonyfield

i also eat random shit on top of all that every day, anything i can find. sometimes i add entire meals on top of all that when i go out to eat.
i have no tapeworm. no physical problems, no diseases of any kind.
i am not gaining weight. and if i somehow manage to do so, its of fat.
In 90 days I've gone from skinny fat alcoholic to normal looking human bean. Completely cut out booze and sugar/fast food from diet. Gym 5 days a week. No real routine, just 30 mins on bike and then random lifts. I'm too scatter brained to follow a program.

Fasting is a TERRIBLE idea if you're skelly. Even if you're a hambeast it isn't optimal, but as a skelly, you have hardly any fat and hardly any muscle. Fasting will chew up the little muscle you have. Don't believe the meme that it's muscle sparing.

Started consistently doing daily calisthenics for about 1.5 months now. Mostly I do dips but I'm going to get a pull up bar so I can balance out the pulling. Right now I go to an elementary school to do pull ups on the monkey bars at night.

so i switched to 5x5.
i do incline dumbbell press, flat bench, lowbar and highbar squats.
my deadlift cant progress past 220lbs..
my squat is 155. i have chicken legs.
i do weighted pullups and chinups, i have a 25lb vest i wear and i do pushups every day with those (i feel nothing when i do).
i did abs every single day in circuit training.
ive tried adding bodyweight exercises into my weight training.
i stopped doing cardio completely.
i also do periodization (just started that).
nothing works. not PPL. not SS. not GOMAD. not a regular bro split. not full body.
nothing. doesnt matter how many reps or sets, doesnt matter the time under tension. doesnt matter if im eating in a caloric surplus or not..
the universe has blocked me from achieving anything. me alone. no one else in the fucking world has these problems, not anybody.
so ill either kms or ill go on roids. i will almost certainly still look like shit if i roid, and everything that can go wrong will go wrong, so all my hair WILL fall out, and my dick WILL shrivel into a raisin..
