Is the landmine row better than barbell row?

Today I tried this exercise at my gym, this exact handle.

Whoa. You can target upper back pretty well, and even middle back if you grip it low. Also you get more weight moving because of the grip, tearing a fuckton of fibers on the negative (if you control the descent)

Now I'm pumped. Can the landmine replace the bb row?

What's the difference between this and cable rows when it comes to their specific purpose as an exercise?

you do this standing up, and as with everything you do standing up you are most likely going to fuck up the form...just do cable rows so you can isolate the back, shit like this is retarded

Whatever you do DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS GUY.

If you're fucking up form, practice on lower weight.

YOU ARE WORKING STABILITY MUSCLES WHEN FORM IS MORE COMPLICATED/DIFFICULT, THEREFORE GETTING MORE FROM THE COMPOUND MOVEMENT.

This guy is the nigger who does chest flies, forward seated chest press machine, leg extensions/curls, shoulder press, abdominal crunch machine, squats in the smith machine and doesn't do deadlifts because "owie hurt my back"

>>>/kys/

>that guy who does any row other than dumbbell rows
Yikes and cringepilled

You have plenty extra chromosomes. This is a compound exercise. is right.

I haven't found either to be better, normally i'll use a barbell, a shorter one designed for females if the horrid truth is told.

Only dyels do cable rows.

do both for max gains

it's a t-bar row, and your choice of row variation is so utterly fucking irrelevant it should never be discussed again

it doesn't matter, do a row you enjoy and feel in your upper back, pick one

cable rows you need to resist torso angle change with your erectors anyway, if you want to get nothing but upper back the only real answer is chest supported row variants

>when u're to weak too do a proper barbell row

single arm straight arm cable pulldown is the most direct recruitment of my lats

>he doesn't do bb row
lmao your loss faggot

nigger thats a corner row

you fucking zoomers and your zippity bippity lifting names

it's practically the same thing. it doesn't matter.

wtf is a "landmine row"? it's called a t-bar row you unrepentant mongoloid.

Pendlay rows are the superior row.

I absolutely cannot avoid hitting my sack with this lift

Well, you should be bent over at a 45 at least and if you're using 45 lbs plates, they should touch your chest and thats it. Once you make contact you go back down. You sound like you're standing too vertically.

That's exactly what I do. Maybe it's because of my proportions since I'm 5'5"

how gay are you?

Is anyone here going to In Shape in Merced, CA? I have never seen anyone do this before today. Who didn't rerack their plates and handle?

Personally I find that I blow out my rhomboids and lower trapezius doing T bars like this, but that could just be the way I position for it. I wouldn't drop other rowing movement for this, as I never feel T bars do enough for my lats.

barbell rows are wack as fuck

Holy shit small world lol

I do chinups for lats and t-bar for traps, fuck that shit works.

this is the easiest exercise, its useless, you can use so much weight its stilly

>try out t bar row
>put 1 pl8 on ez
>2 pl8 ez
>4 pl8 ez
>6 pl8 ez
>7 pl8 ez but the landmine breaks and flies up mid lift and makes a hole in the wall

its not worth it honestly

Trips on this bullshit? Hm ok

>Also you get more weight moving because of the grip
No, you get more weight moving because you are note lifting all of the weight that is on the bar like in a normal row. 1 plate barbell row is a lot different then a 1 plate landmine row in terms of total weight lifted

because a 1 pl8 barbell (each side) row is 2x more weight lifted than a 1pl8 landmine row u brainlet

hehe

Hello my overweight friend

Nothing really does upper back like controlled bent-over BB rows + heavy high pulls
