R9/fit/ plz die
This shit is why i go into work at 7 so I can leave at 3, no exceptions. I am not getting bit in the ass by traffic making my day longer.
I'll get right on it boss, I'll stay as long as it takes! God I love this job got to love this job God I love this job God I love this job God I love this job God I love this job God I love this job
Did you misread my mug? Jeez, user. Get those report to me pronto. I gotta split.
I'm going into business school but I dread this happening
What if I just kind of stared at him for a second and told him I wasn't going to be able to stay?
Last thing I'm afraid of is a boomer "yelling at me"
Say goodbye to any sort of future promotion, and you might actually be fired. In the US, at least.
My time is more important than your positive opinion. I'll put my hours in and nothing more.
So I'm just supposed to be the office bitch?
Was everyone in these important management positions the office bitch at one time or did they earn respect by sticking up for themselves?
Nah bro, if you're average height medium build you dress in all black and kneecap your boss in the parking lot every 6-9 months until he retires or changes jobs.
The company can't afford to protect him every minute of the day and middle managers can't afford gated communities either. This is how vacancies open up in the shadow job market and mobility occurs in the workplace. Soon you'll have new hires to do the bitch work you're currently enduring.
this could work.
That'll be much easier than I thought
No, they had peers do the majority of work on projects, and then took credit for said work.
Most people in office jobs are ridiculously incompetent. Women in particular will easily spend most of their days in meetings, or doing idle chit chat, or making phone calls way longer than necessary.
If you're a competent male with an IQ above room temperature, it's not hard to excel.
Just don't get into management, because then you're responsible for babysitting those dipshits
I'm who you replied to, thanks for the info. I was wasting away ruining my body in manufacturing next to guys who were barely literate so I figured there was more I could be doing. My dad's blue collar and my mom's a trust fund baby so I have no guidance. If anyone here is bored and wants to tell me more about the business world and what I should aim for I'm all ears.
Public school bored me so I underachieved and chased girls, hoping once I get a higher education and a career I'll have more purpose and be able to afford my hobbies but from what I hear that's not always the answer
if you don't have a higher education then either get one or find a company that will take you in and stick with it until they let you take on more. It's the hard truth but in a white collar company you won't move up as fast compared to if you have a degree
Bumping for this user. Except I've already ruined my body and have no other option than to turn to school. Starting this January. Can hardly do simple math in my head. Wish me luck holy shit
Accumulate as much leverage as you can. Make some friends and pay attention to office politics, which you can turn into leverage. Then cash in the leverage to gain things (raise, promotion, assistant) like a video game. Don't mindlessly do your work and become an NPC, don't kiss ass, and learn when to say no
