The abductors are not loaded during a squat, they simply push the knees out perpendicular to the load, and thus incremental progression cannot be made on them with squats.

Maintaining good form with the squat movement (proper depth, knees out) involves the firing of the adductor magnus. Knee valgus (knees caving in) is caused by weak adductors.
