don't worry brah, we all make it some day

Wizard, 335lb bench, no gf currently used to in college

>everyone on Jow Forums has a bench of 300+
While I'm just here trying to reach 1/2/3/4, and thinking eating 3500 is a lot.

Maybe if you try some more holistic methods to fitness

Idk my max but I did 90kgx10 a week ago

Okay, does someone has the link to the study that this meme is about?
The one with 80% not thinking in words?

145 lbs
i hope i make it someday like you guys

try increasing your weight outlander

Is you me?

2 plates is my one max rep.

1.5 pl8

You have arrived to the party welcome user. Now lets get started.

My max bench is 275

Attached: 1535710700329.png (1920x1224, 3.4M)

Well yeah, anything less than 300+ for 1RM is fucking DYEL.

>t. 315 for 5RM

1 plate

How many reps friend? I started at 50 kg for 10 and could barely do 1 plate for 4. You’ll make it I can easily bench 1.75 for 2 now

like 155 lbs for 10 reps
and about 200 one rep max

1 rep

Attached: chrome_2018-08-14_22-46-35.png (106x82, 17K)

Try doing 50 kg for as many as you can. And keep working your way up til you get can do 1 plate for 5

170kgx1

>Advanced: The lifter has taken a consistent and structured approach to strength training and dieting for multiple years. At this level, the individual is among the strongest in an average commercial gym. Many in this category compete in strength sports.

congratulations, you've either been lifting seriously for a long time, have great genetics and/or you're juicing

and no I am not trying to set the bar low here, just taking it out of the sky where you memelords have placed it. 140kgx5 is definitively attainable for most people naturally through hard work, however 100kgx5 is no mean feat compared to 95% of people in the gym

>Can do 1/3/4 but tore my pectoral last year
I just want my 2 plate bench man, I'm sick of only benching lmao1pl8 It's not fair

I don't bench because it goes against my inner voice.

well thought out answer, memes >>> statistically analysing the numbers presented and adressing the commentary

how did you manage to tear your pectoral? did the doctor/physio tell you to do stretch before warming up? I'm afraid as shit to tear something

on topic 90kg 3x5, but incline only. I started with incline because my 16 year old arms were too short to unrack the bar on my old home bench, and sticked with it ever since

According to this site I was elite in squat and advanced in most other ways at my peak. I broke my back so I am not nearly what i used to be at any fitness but Im working my way back there.
7 years natty at the time.
Not the guy you were arguing with originally

90kg x 8 After 2 years or 100x2. No larping.

80kg x5

You're gonna make it brah keep adding even if you add a 5 pound plate

A fucking shitload.

57kgx5. Closing in on dat dere 1 plate

It's like 60kg at 68kg bw and I feel like I could do a lot more but I am a wristlet. It's no problem whatsoever for my pecs and triceps, but my wrists start hurting.

Check this

>Everyone is doing 150 kg ITT
Wtf? Im at 85kg 5x5. Started 6 months ago with 40kg

I want to thank you all for not giving the faggot op what he wanted.

265lbs. Grinding my way to lmao3pl8. Will probably still feel like a strengthlet when I get there.

Everyone here lies

285lb reporting in

It's not about that. I really doubt that anyone here bench presses 150kg.
Look at this cunt youtu.be/DhCLtaLH4z0
He has a hard time benching 150kg and he's shredded as fuck. And when I look at all the DYEL in the CBT threads I have a hard time to believe that anyone except a few long time lifters and roiders manages even to come close to 150kg.

150kg isn't THAT much if you weigh above 80kg and strength train, it's within the expected range for powerlifters my dude.

295@168

Really want to get 315 before the year is up.

I lift for aesthetics therefore I don't need to bench press.

He's not having a hard time, he's repping out on it...

always assume people's numbers are their one rep max, then 150kg seems very possible

70kg x8

Like 80kg, havent benched in about a year

245, use to be a super skinny dyel at less than 120lbs (body weight) my whole life and started lifting beliving I'll never hit 1pl8 then beliving I'll never hit 2pl8 and am currently beliving I'll never hit 3pl8

I don't bench. I can dip at 91kg bw + 26kg for 6 reps

I can do +40kg for 6 deep reps at 95kg and I have a shit bench.

136@94 in a previous life
Dipped 5x150 (98+52.5 added)
5 years in the gym

Not enough.

70pound dumbells for 10reps

Once a week

126,5 kg.
Then I stopped testing my max since my leverages felt weird and now I have no idea. I do 105 kg for 6 right now.

ITT: the absolute state of Jow Forums in 2018

If you are not benching at least 1.5x your bodyweight, you are a DYEL.

The cope in this thread is absurd. Stay mad, benchlets.

99% of all stats are lies on Jow Forums, the guys who actually lifting those numbers either don't brag about it constantly or don't put you down the entire time.

We all start at some point. 4 years ago I had problems benching 40 kg and here I am now with a 130 kg bench.

Best ever was 225x8. I'd like 315 one day. Here's to hoping pin bench and banded speed bench will get me there

>BB 145lbx5 but on the linear gain train because it's only been a month
>DB 50x15 because that's where the gym DBs max out for some reason
By comparison I diddly and squat diddlysquat and I don't know why.

7 years is the time span I would call believable for those numbers. Anything below 5 years and the poster is either juicing, lying or has top 0,1% genetics.

what's a good bench goal for a girl?
Something like 2pl8 for a guy, how does it translate?
I'm only at lmao 0.5pl8 now

180kg raw
190kg with a slingshot
at about 95kg

the amount of benching i have to do just to put on a single kilo is getting ridiculous now. i think it's either roids or bulking to 110kg from here.
pic related is not 5pl8 btw lol

Attached: a1.jpg (1330x920, 198K)

OHP is more functional

Holy shit

Ever tried Westside bench? What's your current programming like?

Completely meaningless

2pl8. If you're benching for strength, you're benching for strength. If you're benching for aesthetics, 1rm doesn't matter, just mirror gains.

how the fuck do i break past my current plateau at 105 kilos?
it feels fucking impossible to increase it by any metric
been stalling for at least a month or 2 btw

bodyweight

10x3 on 67kg been going for 20month...
Yes I suck but going slow and steady

t. Manlet

is it possible to reach 2pl8 as a woman, with 0 roids?
I'm not saying something that I can achieve after 15 years, I'm saying something I can achieve in 1-2 years

sounds reasonable desu

gib milkies right now
also please b in yurop

I do 140kgx5 consistently and had 150kgx3 and 160kgx1 with no spotter touched the bar. I'm at 82kg bw.
But as you said I don't gloat. It's heavy weight and I haven't seen anyone bench that much in all my time at commercial gyms in multiple countries. Took me 6 years of lifting 4 years focussing on strength training. So if anyone does lift that much at x bodyweight I believe it if their personal story is something close to mine. Otherwise genetic freaks, liars or roids.
I don't lift that much on bench anymore because of increasing danger.

I still do 140x5 and haven't gone up since putting up 160 max.

Trick for me to break plateaus is smolov jr. Rep scheme 2x a week every few months.

>metric
Well theres your fuckin problem. Its way easier to increase your bench using U.S. units.

I only wear B cup user, I'm sorry
I live in southern europe though

oh shit same
please be from the balkan and hot

Reset, do german volume training or aby Sheiko desu. Accumulate volume, then start cutting it down and focus on heavy singles. I would do 8 to 12 weeks of volume followed by 10 weeks of singles.

i think i read their bench book a few years ago and took some cues from it but i can't remember what programming they recommended.

right now i bench 3x a week. a standalone bench day where i do 5-10 heavy singles and accessories, a volume day after deadlifting (triples at 80%+) and a ''active recovery session'' consisting of a few explosive sets at 40-50%. the weights are usually laid out as a 8 week peaking cycle with a taper toward the end.

i am balkan, but not hot
at least i'm not an albo

i know both
i just used metric because the person i'm replying to used them
i've been doing 5/3/1
was i memed into doing it?

You haven't even said your height, no one here can divine your natty limit. Add more weight until you either can't or have a good reason not to.

>not an albo
thank god
>but not hot
shame
cлoвeнeц cи?

I'll tell you, the strongest girls I've ever seen irl bench a little over 1pl8. Probably 165 is the most I've ever seen, and thats after 5 years of going to the gym. 1 pl8 is probably a reasonable goal

Nice. What gave you the idea to program like this

my advice is somewhat irresponsible but it has worked for me for quite a while. get a spotter and don't worry about pausing or anything, just bounce the weight if you must but do absolutely everything you can to finish the rep. many times a plateau is just a mental blockage you can push through.

also all the obvious shit like eating and resting more, adding volume or accessory work but you probably already know that.

Probably like 245lbs idk I haven't tested it in a long time

>adding volume
i've been doing strictly 5/3/1 as written so this could be why i'm not progressing

I'm 170, currently cutting at 69kg. I want to reach 62 or so again, and I'll slowly bulk up to 70 or so
rinse and repeat
I started about a year now, couldn't bench the bar, did some absolute meme program my trainer gave to me
Only started to program for myself the past couple of months, but focused on deadlift first, since it was abysmal(i was struggling at 50kg).
Got it up to 75kg now, pretty good start, feels good

nope, I live in the southernmost tip

thing is, the vast majority of girls, don't focus on strength
I'm technically the strongest girl in my gym, but it doesn't feel like an accomplishment at all. The best lifts of girls I've seen IRL are
40/40/50. Never seen a single one of them doing OHP
