Question for my gym rats

What motivated you to pick the gym you go to instead of other?

It's the only one in my town

it's literally across the street from my house

It's a small town, there are around 7 gyms here, the one I go to is the best equipped and most crowded. I used to go to one near my house, but the place was tiny and crowded days were hell, and there were not many exercise options.

I work there

Its modern and clean, minimal blacks, many qt's, weights are heavy

It's the only one near me that isn't meme tier

It's open 24 hours and only a few blocks from my bakery. It's Gold's so there's mostly bros and people with no idea what they're doing, and I'd much rather be going to the Powerlifting/Strongman/Oly focused gym across town, but my first two points are more important.

Five minute walk away and it's $10 a month. Not always busy either

I go to the gym in my garage because it's closest and it's got all the equipment I chose for it.

It basically costs 2 pounds to park anywhere near the best gym in my local area. Thats 24 pounds in parking a month before 26 pounds gym fee. The one I go to is 24 pounds a month with a massive free car park to support the new athletics stadium they put next door.

There's another gym that's also close but it's expensive, is on a shit hole estate and everyone I met when I went there was on roids, to the point people are pinning openly in the little cafe area. People do roids at my current gym but at least they're not pulling needles out in common areas/changing rooms.

It's the closest to my house, it's cheap and it has unlimited acces.

the last one i went to had a live turd in the sauna constantly and the indians used to spit everywhere

There are gyms closer to my house and cheaper but I don't want to meet any of people who know me and it doesn't have hordes of schoolkids, mostly boomers and thots.
Also it has a cool name.

I can work out while watching hentai on my big screen TV (I live in a studio apt)

It doesn't have a squat rack. Only this weird fucking cage with the bar on sliders. And only 2 bench press stations.

But it has a tenth the people and is $20/month as opposed to $50.

Great mix of equipment, hours, affordability, and very close to my house. The hours have only gotten better and before long should be 24/7 at the rate they're going, already 24/5.

New, 2 minutes way, 24/7, good equipment, decent price, had a special going when I joined

I'm in the military and it's free and better than every other gym by a light year.

My brother in law owns the gym so it's a free membership for me and my wife

It's the closest to me, only half a mile walk or one subway stop from where I live, that is right next to the subway. 247 but I won't go at night because it's in the middle of the shittiest druggie-hobo-plaza in town. Also it's the cheapest and you get to use any of the company's other gyms in town.
