He knows what he's doing as much as any youtube fitness instructor. I'd say that he's about as good as you'll find on the internet.

Helped me find exercises that don't make my shoulders click. Also made me start doing side leg raises which seems to be helping me with my stiffness in the lowest part of my back

When I do my trap raises and to a lesser extent my facepulls, my upper body automatically tilts back as I'm bringing it up. Should I lower weight?

Yes. He knows what he's doing. Better than the vast majority of youtubers. If you do nothing but work out from his youtube videos, you'll be doing pretty well.

For more specific powerlifting and/or bodybuilding things, there are better people out there.

Well he has plenty of them, what helped me the most was one which I can't find the video off. He showed off some superset exercises for shoulders.
Basically I varied my shoulder exercises and went lower on the hight when I do something like standing flys
