How do i get a comfy job at a fast food or retail wit no HS diploma
How do i get a comfy job at a fast food or retail wit no HS diploma
>fast food or retail
>comfy
>not even a HS diploma
apply in an area with low unemployment
Ask. They hire on the spot. There's a huge demand for unskilled labor right now.
Ok thankss
>fast food or retail
>comfy
user dont fall for the anime lies
the only comfy parts of working food service and retail was the slow times when i could hang out with my coworkers. i also used to sometimes take care of back stock int he clothing store i used to work in and while it was nice to get away from retard customers and just listen to music for the day while moving clothes around i dont think i could do it everyday. you also dont need a HS diploma afaik just be ready to get paid shit, treated like shit, and not have a regular schedule
How will they treat me like shit?
for bosses its really luck of the draw. some will be really cool and feel like friends while also having your respect because they give it back as well but its quite rare in my experience. for customers i would actually say i've dealt with more polite/forgettable customers 80% of the time but the remaining 20% are so awful, loud, and belligerent that it can stay with you. they think that you are lower on the social totem pole than them because you are in customer service or just feel like venting their anger out at you because you pretty much have to take it with a smile if you want to keep your job. again, if your boss/manager has your back than there's nothing better than having the customer being put in their place but these days many companies/restaurants would just avoid bad PR if possible and just fold
Fuck
Looks like ill just have to take it the 50/50 chance i guess
yeah good luck. where are you thinking of applying?
Probably alot of fast food and retail like mcdonalds, waffle house, dollar general, walmart and other places
avoid walmart, dollar stores can be comfy
How good is the pay at dollar general?
ive never done fast food but heard good things about pizza shops, especially if you like smoking weed. havent dont too much retail outside of the clothing store either but i hear walmart is awful to their employees. hopefully you find a comfy job OP, best of luck to you again
If I get nervous dealing with people and being around people being condescending, would I have a hard time in retail or fast food?
Thanks man ill look into pizza shops
Get a GED already. You have enough free time if you're here
what kind of boomer logic is that? anybody can phonepost from work or during the only hour that they have after working for 14 hours a day
it depends on how bad your problem is. you'll definitely have a hard time at first but it can either help you through iy by forcing you through it or you'l just get canned if you can't deal with it
How hard is it ? Im probably too retarded to pass
is working a register hard? seems kinda difficult especially stuff where they want somethings taken off like a hamburger with no pickles or oinions
>Lift
>Lift packages/boxes for airport
I guess it can be hard, but in the sense you won't have to deal with normies like in fastfood, it's comfy for any other option.
It's not hard. You don't have to be smart at all.
Go scarf some avocado toast faggot
the work itself isnt very hard no. i've worked cashier at a clothing store and had to work the register when i was a server all you have to really do is make sure you give correct change because its a headache to fuck up and count out after your shift ends. the register i worked at the restaurant had buttons for meals and then another button for common options like choice of meat and then an additional space for notes like 'no ____' and i would assume fast food registers are the same. i'd actually bet they're way more streamlined and every single option has a button. as a cashier though you have to take all the shit customers have about their food/experience/mood so it gets draining and there's something about having a line pile up due to something out of your control and feeling anxious/angry/tired knowing people will shit on you more than usual as they grow impatient in line
Alright ill look into getting a ged thank you appreciate it man
You can get any fast food job w/o a diploma. Unfortunately, none of them pay well enough to be comfy. Get your fucking GED and be a construction worker or something.
Im gonna live with my parents as long as i can to save money im 18 right now
PS: Any trade will do; just get into one! You'll soon find out that fast food work (or food service in general) will beat you down and put you in a rut. Spending two years in skill training is better than letting time melt by while you scrape black grease-vapor deposits off the side of the deep fryer pot. Cutting down trees is a comfy job. It doesn't sound fun, but you'll have more fun making future decisions if you start the game with some money.
Ok any tips on how to get into construction?
witness it lads, the birth of a NEET
Been a neet since i dropped out bro
Simple. Get a GED instead.
>fast fast / retail
>comfy
lul
my dream job is working at a corner store in bumfuck Arizona
everyone i've told this to has laughed at me or asked if i was serious
highschool dropout btw, no friends
That sucks
Why did they laugh at you
>fast fast / retail
>comfy
more like slave labor you fucking goon
being a cashier or stockboy isn't something you should strive for, people want to be sports players and doctors and shit
i just want to be the guy who rings your bottle of water up and says "nah, its fine" when you're a couple cents short so you dont feel awkward
I literally just want a quiet life
No great joy
But no great despair either
>Fast food
>Retail
>Comfy
>legitimately Thinking they require a High School Diploma or an Education or a Brain
Your question is so ironic it made me kek pretty hard. It's like you're unintentionally making fun of every wagie right now. Because those jobs are the exact opposite of everything you think they are
>no high school diploma
You have pretty much no shot at any job (let alone a comfy job) unless you know someone who can get you in.
Go get your GED.
>go get your GED
why do you think he didn't get his diploma?
actually I got one but I lost it
Some minimum wagie retail employer isn't going to waste their time verifying some random shit on your resume. Just put a high school degree on there plus a couple of summer jobs at mom and pop buisinesses.
>tfw this is probably my little brother
>fast food
>comfy
Only if its slow as fuck and you can bum around. I work at a pub and working there is a pain in the ass when its busy. Pretty comfy when nobody's there (which is often the case) and I can sit around, browse /lit/ and Jow Forums and drink some tea which I'm not bothered to pay for.
Couldn't say anything about retail though, but it sure as hell does not look comfy.
Just lie and say you have a HS diploma. At of all the jobs I've had not once did any of them ask for proof.
>doing this with a college degree
even if they asked, you could literally order one from a yearbook supply company kekeke
>being a liar
>ever
There's an online database where employers can simply punch in your name and birthdate to find out your college status.
You actually need a HS diploma to get a fast food job? Jeez. Don't fake shit, just get a legitimate GED or something.
Apply at places, you'll need to work at any place that can take you until you get some base cash. Get that GED then. If not now, you'll appreciate it later. Even if it ends up just doing shit assorted cash for general labour to pay off your classes.
That said, any place you work that interacts with the public is going to be powerfully shit. Get somewhere in back if at all possible, away from things. Go to a place and see what the employees are doing, see if you could see yourself doing that.
Comfy shifts are overnights, do them, they're miles better than any other shift when it comes to minimum wage.
Has a job ever checked if you had a HS diploma? Not me.
Yeah, know someone. These fuckers say it's so easy to do certain things, but it isn't. I was told the best way to get into construction is to work hospitality. You get to meet certain people and these people will help you out. Hope you get lucky.
