Oldfag with bad joints

Oldfag here, 46 years old. Wrists are shot from 25 years of construction work.

Free weights hurt my wrists like hell and aren't an option. Bench is ok but still hurts. What can I do?

ok. guess I'm not gonna make it

what's the problem with your wrists? arthritis?

just worn down from overuse. thumb joints are pretty bad too. I bought an elliptical machine because my knees and spine aren't great either. I don't have health insurance so I just have to manage these things by doing low impact exercises. Just not sure which ones I can do to get the most benefit.

Pulling/pushing/carrying long/odd/heavy shaped objects and holding them in place hurts your wrists really good.
>Did construction work for four years couldn't imagine 20
Get settled wrist wraps old man. Maybe the body will adapt to these new movements and the pain will eventually go away?

borax/boron cures joint pain

Weights braces you fucking retard. Or gee, maybe don't to free weights and just use machines (in b4 REEE).

AND REALLY YOU DUMB CUNT 25 YEARS CONSTRUCTION AND YOUR BODY IS SHIT TIER? HOW IN THE FUK

In your case getting a personal trainer might not be a bad idea if you can afford it. But they’d have to actually know their shit and know how to effectively and safely strengthen someone with your issues which is unlikely. Google workouts for people with arthritis or whatever.

If you start slow and really work at it I expect the pain will get better. Also hopping on roids could help you regenerate a lot of your old strength.

Collagen Type II for two weeks, and you're back in the game again.

These two will fix your shit. To go even further/adamantium joints use vitamin D3, magnesium, and calcium

I've tried wrist wraps and they make me feel better when I lift. But afterwards my wrists are sore for days. I don't do the labor part of construction any more. I'm in project management now.

Get worked up for RA oldbro. 46 is actually young to be having this shit, laborer job notwithstanding.

Do yoga and get lean, you won't create crazy amounts of muscles anyway being an oldfag.

Dude, back before the homegym, there was this 80 year old guy at my gym, looking as buff as Jujimufu. Age is no excuse with TRT.

>TRT.
i just assumed that the guy didn't want drugs mate, shill

Sounds like you aren’t drinking enough monster young man

>Age is no excuse with TRT.
sorry, I like my heart too much

*chill

I'm pretty sure that too low of a testosterone level, isn't good for your health either.

Have you tried lifting gloves with wrist straps?

Get wrist wraps so you cast your wrists for movements when necessary, do free weights.

my dad had the same problem i gave him a list of suplements, he says it 1000 times better

>Collagen
>vit. C
>omega 3
>zinc
>Magnesium
>Glucosamine

Go for Inzer or Titan, minimum 24" length. Stiffer would probably get you a better cast (Titan signature golds), but it's personal preference

Yeah. I'm gonna follow the advice of you and some other anons and get these supps. Also ordered a new pair of wrist wraps.

Also, for pressing movements, holding the bar like pic related should make your wrists feel a lot better. I have held 405 in my hands for bench with no wrist wraps and have had zero discomfort

Doesn't long term zinc use fuck you up though?

35 yrs old here with some joint problem and terrible chronic tendonitis.

My best advice is trial and error, mostly through machines that let you avoid the direct stressors that hurt you, and minimal / low-intensity free weight work with whatever exercises hurt you the least, using very slow eccentric work to compensate.

Just off the top of my head, the butterfly machine will completely take your wrists out of the equation working your pecs.

I won't know your condition, but do you find certain angles pushing/pulling weight to be less stressful?

its low dose 25mg zinc
1g vit c
5 g omega 3
5 g collagen
1 g glucosamine
