You can't.

I was going to say lunges until Do you have access to a yoke? That might honestly be the only way to avoid bad knees

>You can't.
Sure you can.

What did he do to build a strong lower body if he didn't squat? That will probably be more helpful to the OP.

Also, maybe HE did it. But OP can't.

Sprints

>Not knowing Dorian Yate's routine
>Not knowing that Jay Cutler also didn't squat heavy

Lots of bike work and stretches. You can find rehab programs online. Everything they did in my knee physio postop can be done at gym+home.

dorian liked leg press and machine hack squat, and his advice is actually spot on for tallfags with long limbs, just from a BBing perspective

a lot of PL coaches (CWS for example) recommend more quad work for lanky lifters that isn't barbell work, belt squats and leg press and shit, because if you're an inefficient squatter mechanically you just won't benefit as much from doing more squats as you would from focusing on your quads directly without your back being a limiting factor and without having to stabilize a bar on your torso

I've always had decent sized legs from playing sports as a kid but now that I'm older and experience knee pain when squatting, climbing on a bike 4,000 to 6,000 feet a week has them bigger than ever. Still get occasional knee pain but nothing to bad

I didn't say I didn't know it. I just told you what you gotta do if you want to help OP. Frankly I don't give a fuck about OP and just like to laugh at people who don't want to squat.
Except Dorian. I'm not going to laugh at him.

medium pause squats

Biking also helps a lot with dem calves.

Did he really just do 1 working set?

Yes but be careful because I just started biking and not really paying attention to my rhythm and noticed my dominate side was developing faster than the other. Just like when lifting, it take a lot of concentration to equally workout both legs. The more you ride however, the more natural the rhythm becomes.

of each exercise yes, but he would do multiple exercises for each muscle group so the total volume was actually much higher

single set training is inferior to doing more sets across, the evidence for this is overwhelming, there is only one extremely poorly designed study that claims there is no difference between 1 set and multiple sets

Why does every teen/twenty-something have knee problems these days?

Obesity. A sedentary life.

the ones that don't have knee problems don't post threads asking for squat alternatives

i don't think many people that age have real knee issues

Is stationnary biking just as good as outdoor biking for cardio abd leg gain?

There is literally nothing like biking outside. Just do it faggot.

I'm getting an arthroscopy of the knee soon.
Anyone got one and how long before I can go back to working out?

What about winter.

What about it? Are you a pansy?

No, nothing beats hill climbs.

Good luck in 3 feets of snow.

Pffft, that's babby levels of snow.

Same story with me
