Do you do them? Do they matter?
I'm a poorfag that doesn't want to pay 500 dollars for a golds gym membership.

Yeah if you want to be able to do a bunch of push-ups
>$500 for gold’s gym membership
Most gym memberships are 20-35 a month, 240-420 a year max

Planet fitness seems alright price wise, but everything else is crazy. Honestly my dad wanted to play racketball with me at Golds gym, so if I was gonna get a membership anywhere I wanted it to be there, but damn.

No

They're great for beginners, plenty of variations and room for progression. You probably won't see as much hypertrophy vs bench press though.
>I'm a poorfag that doesn't want to pay 500 dollars for a golds gym membership.
You can pick up a used weight rack plus weights for around $250. Homegym master race.
Racketball is extremely fun bro
>Planet fitness seems alright price wise
Don’t give your money to a gym that actively tries to keep people fat
How much even is Gold’s a month?
Post home gym
Here’s mine
mirin, how much it all cost?
Easily 3,000 in total, if not more. Just bought all of it over a period of about five years
Mirin Hard
Thankies :-)
All of it is from Rogue, very expensive but also high resale value
Op here. Impressive but I don't have 1/10th the room for that.
>You can pick up a used weight rack plus weights for around $250. Homegym master race
I'll keep that in mind, thats very interesting but space might still be a problem.
40 and there's a 50 dollar entry fee.
Yea once i get out of this apartment in a few months im gonna get a setup similar with mostly rogue.
Home gyms are so fucking based
Glad you like mein gym
>40 and there’s a 50 entry fee
Fuck that. Try to find somewhere else, that isn’t planet fitness
Are you young enough to where your dad would consider paying half your membership so you guys can go to the same gym? When I was a kid (ages 12-16) my dad would pay for half my monthly and my full annual fee desu
Based and redpilled
Make sure you get an actual power rack and not just a squat stand. I made the mistake of just buying a cheapo doodoo squat stand my first time around, just ended up buying a full power rack anyways later on
>space might still be a problem.
My rack plus the bar takes up 6'x8' and is worth every square inch.
Decline push-ups every shoulder day. All the really jacked guys I know can do a lot of pushups, its a pretty accurate method to gauge your upper body strength. If you can't do at least 40 then you're either weak as fuck or really fat.
Lemme see ya home gym big feller
Or skinny as fuck.
>t. dyel what can do 50 pushups for reps
I'm embarrassingly older then that but he said he would help pay for the Golds gym membership. I think his partners are flaking on him.
Didn't really wanna accept.
Weak as fuck. I don't think I've ever done 40 in my entire life. I got up to like 30 something when I was doing them semi regularly a few years ago. Didn't stick to it though. Will look into declines.
If he said he’d help pay, then work out with the guy. Nice father-son bonding time
Push-ups are only useful if you want to be good at doing a lot of push-ups.
Thats my plan ive seen a lot of people fuck up and get a squat stand.
lol fine, here it is. Nothing too impressive, but for $250 it does everything I need it to.
That’s exactly what I did. Now it’s just sitting in my attic, lol. If I ever expand the ol’ home gym into the house I buy I might pull it out of the attic, but for now it’s just a $350 reminder of what I shouldn’t have done
Based and home gym pilled
Inshallah brother
I miss Spider-Man memes
Rogan says Gold's is for homos, maybe you could give some blowjobs on the side there for a little extra cash/protein.
Weighted pushups are fine, but way more awkward to perform than a bench press or dumbbell press. Bodyweight pushups are pretty much useless. Just buy a barbell and do floor presses at home.
but what if bar get too heavy and need a spot? sounds like you're toying with your own fate for some private gainz
Then he uses the cage?
This subreddit man jesus christ
There's a crossbeam that catches the barbell if it falls. Nobody in my household is strong enough to spot me anyways. Thanks for concerning yourself with my gainz though. ily
If they're strong enough to move 20kg they're strong enough to essentially make your lift 20kg lighter.
A spot is a spot is a spot
