But I did read a story one time on here where a uncut guy said at 27 he woke up one day and his dick was swollen and had some kind of infection that basically ended up giving him Phimosis despite never have any problems retracting his foreskin all his life, when he went to the doctors they basically said the only medical fix they had for it would be to get his foreskin.

The surgery was pretty simple, required just local anesthesia. My dick was covered in bandages for two days afterwards. It's the period where the cut can actually hurt and I was taking painkillers. Pretty regular surgery stuff.
After that, I had to deal with the glans' sensitivity for some time, it was the worst part for me. When I walked, my dick would rub against my underwear and hurt. That took weeks to fully disappear.
I had to go on no-fap for 30 days. When I was finally free to do it, my balls literally hurt when I came, lol.
The problems I had with my uncut dick were related only to my condition, so I wouldn't tell anyone with a normal dick to get circumcised for no reason.
