I must admit

I dont deadlift.

I don't either.

It takes forever to set up and put away afterwards. Also the only people doing them in the gym are tiny guys who probably recite posts from here from memory.

me neither. done it in the past and inexperience gave me the worst tension headaches. I havent felt a strong drive to look like a newbie while i practice form.

I do deadlifts, but at dyel weights. Same with squats.

But when i ride my shitty bike i always get cramps/buffed muscles, so i figured i shouldn't train legs that much when they already feel sore.

I don't bench. Dips all the wae

I must admit. Hex bar deadlift is objectively superior.

My gym doesnt have one, I would consider trying it if we did.

i call the leg day in ppl leg day but it usually ends up being an extra rest day

Why?
Deadlift = Bench > OHP > Squat

On the topic of deadlifts, when starting out is it better to do a 5x1 with extremely high weights or do 5x5 with lighter weights?

Deadlift is a meme exercise shilled by fat fucks on Jow Forums and the SS cult.

Did deadlifts for a year. Didn't gain shit from it

yup

>Did deadlifts for a year. Didn't gain shit from it
You did them wrong, fucking retard!

I did them and went from 80kg to 160kg in a year or so. Much stronger back and significantly stronger grip.

Don’t ego lift them; however they are maybe the best exercise for the whole body

ITT:dyels

noob question, but do you do it with handles up or down? I do it with handles down for further depth, but i'm not sure if thats right or not

question you already know the answer to

this. Deadlifts have improved my posture 100 fold, not even counting the back gains.

I must admit.
Between my job and my transportation I havent been to the gym in 9 years.

>be me
>stop deadlifting and back squatting
>keep all upper body work
>front squat, bike, jump rope, run hills
chronic low back pain lessens
>hang upside down
>buy foam rolled
chronic low back pain disappears. Aesthetics kept. Can wrestle as well as before.

Fuck deadlifts and back squats, front squats and rows are sufficient

I cant front squat for some reason, not even with just the bar when I can squat lmao 3 plate just fine

Weird, maybe it's because of anthropometry (I have a long torso and short legs) but the uprightness of the front squat feels super comfy.

On back squat I often snap my shit up unracking or just starting the descent. If I don't, then I still have buttwinking to give me a dull ache throughout my lumbar spine

It's absolutely right. Handle position changes how far your arms have to reach

DYELs

>Didn't gain anything
Who's fault is that?

>DYEL
>probably squat, bench, ohp and row more than you
