Because people have different values. Some people would rather have one of the parents working part-time or not at all in order to focus more time and attention on their children or have more children than they would the additional income. Further, in addition to the time aspect in terms of focusing on their children, the parents get to spend more time with one another, leading to a healthier marriage and home life. Money and resources aren't the end all be all for everybody. If one parent can support the family, I would say that most families would reach the conclusion that the other shouldn't work (at least, not full-time).

Well, I'm not a robot, but I have a houeswife. What's stupid about the concept? I want her to have an easy life, to build up good energy and release it on me when I'm home, which I get every day. We laugh and play-fight and fuck and talk for 7-8 hours a day because she gives me the energy to and I provide for her in return.
