list the following lifts from most loved, to most hated lift for you: squats, deadlift, bench, overhead press, barbell row
>bench: feeling stronk, feels gud man >overhead press: not tiring, easy to push self >deadlift: better wish you ate enough if lifting heavy >barbell row: these tire the fuck out of me >squats: i fucking hate squats, feels like running a marathon when lifting heavy
Bench:Dislike it, dont find it enjoyable OHP: simple fun, hard to make gains unless your dedicated Squat: always worried I'm not doing it right Deadlifts:chest up, keep arms straight
Charles Collins
Deadlift Bench Row Squat OHP
Christian Ward
>deads: i love picking up heavy shit >ohp: i love putting heavy shit over my head >row: back is my favorite thing to train. nothing beats a good back pump >squat: i used to like this a lot more. tired of them lately >bench: i dont even flat bench anymore because it fucks with my shoulder. i stick to incline and floor presses
Owen Scott
deadlift, ohp, bench, squat (5 and below reps that is, higher reps is fine)
Jacob Morales
Squat: fuck yeah do it faster next time Deadlift: fuck you grip Im going to do it faster because of you Bb row: yank that fucking bitch weight Ohp: scream fuck while hitting new prs every few days Bench: stuck in nap mode >Wish bench juiced me up more
Julian Howard
>squats >deadlift >rows >OHP >bench ordered from most liked to most disliked
Ethan Cooper
Ayy lmao how u progressing clone?
Michael Wood
>Overhead Press: Lifting heavy shit over your head is fun and you feel alpha as fuck >Bench Press: Another fun, primal lift. But it's worse than OHP because setting up the correct height on the power rack takes time >Barbell Row: It's ok >Front Squat: I always have to make sure my forms is perfect because I'm afraid of getting a hernia >Deadlift: The same as front squat, but putting the weights on/off the bar is a massive pain in the ass
Brandon Johnson
OHP: I'ts hard to progress but that makes it so fucking fun, I feel indestructible when I perform the lift. love it.
DL: Like it a lot, moving really heavy shit helps with your mindset. this and OHP get me high on endorphins.
Squat: Used to like it. Fucked up my back like 3 months ago. now I can't remember proper form and always en up with back pain
Bench: Never liked it, bores me.
Barbell Row: This lift can Fuck Off, almost never feel my back, prefer pull ups
Juan Ward
Beginner here. Lifting comfortable weights, not extremely heavy yet as I'm still learning form.
Squats: Love 'em, do 'em every workout. Bench: Boring as shit. OHP: Somehow hard for me to get my face away from the bar, always afraid I'm going to lower the bar straight on my head after a rep. Maybe I'm missing coordination. Deadlift: I always end up lifting with my lower back like a retard. Barbell row: Pretty fun, though I'm worried I'm not doing them 100% correctly.
Somehow all the supposedly easier lifts are hard for me while the supposedly hard squats aren't.
Zachary Green
In order of preference
>OHP >Bench >Squat >Deadlift/Rows (tie)
For deadlifts and rows, I always feel like I'm doing them wrong, even when I'm not.
Wyatt Robinson
>OHP: fuck yeah i'm pressing over my own body weight for reps >diddly: yeah look how heavy this shit is i gotta use all the plates >bench: fuck i gotta go find someone to spot me so i don't guillotine myself >squat: fuuuuuuuuuaaaaaaark my spine >barbell row: i don't even do this
James Ward
In order of preference:
OHP : Nothing more invigorating than picking something up and lifting it in the air.
Deadlift: Got good leg genes so I like it.
Bench : The most fun when you've got a hype spotter. Kind of boring otherwise.
Squats : Boring.
Barbell Row : Hate doing rows, I don't know why.
Jason Morgan
bench>ohp>deadlift>row>>>>>>squats
Aiden Powell
>OHP Best lift for me, it is at least 70% my 1RM for bench
>Deadlift Second best lift. Feels good to pull heavy stuff off the ground.
>Squat Makes me feel like a man afterward
>Bench I'm a benchlet. Probably can throw 335 up one time, but in comparison to my other lifts, it's piss poor
David Rodriguez
Fuck, forgot BB row. I'll place it between OHP and deadlift
Gavin Morris
>The Press >Deadlift >Squat >Barbell Row >"Bench"
Jackson Powell
Fuck bench, fuck ohp, fuck squat and fuck deadlift. They're all hard as shit. Bb rows are nice and fun though if I cheat, can't wait until I hit 4pl8 working sets for them.
Robert Perry
Overhead press Barbell row Bench (I can't do it atm though, doing weighted dips instead) (Front) squats (Sumo) deadlift
>deadlift: there's something so invigorating about deadlifts, especially when you're on your max weight >bench: I found these to be easier than most of my other lifts >squat: while squats are enjoyable, it takes so much time to become accustomed to a new weight >barbell row: just kinda an "eh" exercise, just do it bc I have to >OHP: got stuck on a plateau for the longest time on this so I don't like it
335 lbs bench is fucking impressive. Literally "1% one of the strongest people in a mile radius" like.
Joseph Parker
Can't rate for most "big strong feel" since all my lifts are fucking poverty r/n, 3 months in.
Deadlift (progress most consistent. 2pl8 next week) Bench (grunk have strong arm, swing big club. Progress also consistent) Squat (legs my strongest body part) OHP (hardest lift, 30lbs away from 1pl8, only lift I've had to delay progression) Row (never failed, but never feel any activation)
Christian Butler
>>deadlift: I like these the most because I can do just deadlifts and pretend that I have done a full workout because I'm spent >>bench: bro stuff, nuf said >>overhead press: basically fluff and pump bs, but its a compound so you can pretend its not a waste of time >>barbell row: these remind me that I don't do lower back enough, even though I do deadlifts. Would rather do seated cable rows >>squats: ugh.
Jacob Jones
dl-the intensity is what I enjoy and the feeling of my arms being ripped off, can really energize me for the rest of my workout and into my day 325x8 bench-now that my form is much better and my ac joint isnt hurting as much I can really start to see the gains 225x5 ohp-need to fix my shoulders cause I have had to move to log press it feel a little better 155x3 rows-usually at after dl's so it can hurt my back 205x3 squat-hurts my back 295x5
Lucas Anderson
>easy mode leg press barbell squat overhead press Dumbbell curl
>what was I thinking dat wobble between A and B almost stalling between C and D pull ups chest flys dips so many dips
OHP: aesthetics Bench: easy Squat: I’ve chicken legs so improving them is fun Deads: most useless lift on the list
Angel Morgan
>OHP : FUN >Deadlift: BACK PLEASE STAY STRAIGHT >Bench : FUN >Squats : HARD BUT FUN >Barbell Row : WISH I STAYED HOME TODAY
Tyler Robinson
>deadlift: feeling stronk, feels gud man >squats: depending on the mood same as dl. tfw going atg and see thots mirin. get to show ass >barbell row: feels good, get to show ass >overhead press: a bit awkward but I like it >bench: feels a bit awkward
Eli Nelson
love squats and deads.
recently got knee pain from squats. i think im having knee slide at the bottom
Brayden Cruz
OHP - strong upper back & shoulders makes it easy to start lift. About 80% of bench, back up to ~ 185 for sets after straining my back DL - super easy once I found my groove. Once DLed every day for months. Prefer pulling sumo after back issues that started from a car accident, but I can pull conventional. Back warmup takes longer than DL sets though Bench - used to hate it. Learned how to get properly tense & set, now is easy-ish but still sucks Squats - always takes the wind out of me if I go heavy enough. Also tends to require even more warmup than DL. Currently also doing zerchers and loving what they do for form but love-hating the pain. If you hate pain, squats will be your nemesis Rows - can't barbelll row for shit after accident. do DB rows instead; don't have a negative on them but they're just the least easy to get worked up for
Kevin White
Deadlift: fun, sometimes I get paranoid about form but when people spot me they don't see anything wrong Squat: pretty close to squatting over my own bodyweight, which is really cool Bench: fun but really hard OHP: I hate it, I keep stalling Row: 99% certain I'm doing it wrong
Parker Murphy
>not at 2pl8 diddly >105 OHP wat
Austin Morales
OHP > squat = deadlift > BB row > bench
Camden Roberts
1. ohp undoubted the most fun 2. barbell row 3. (front) squats 4. diddlys power gap 5. bench, too afraid of going snap city on that one so fuck it
Aiden Sanders
>people actually like OHP ???????
Robert King
>OHP love hate. It's the most fun lift by far and gets me super pumped but I stall on it too much. >BB Row Training back feels good man. It's my strongest lift by far. >Bench super comfy >Diddly it's fun picking up heavy shit >Squat only lift I don't enjoy, fuck squats.
Overhead press: >Those job requirements that ask if you can lift 50 pounds over your head? Well I can lift three 50 pound things at once over my head. Rows: >Haha I'm rowing a boat with a 215 lb oar, lotsa fun! Bench: >I'm training just like all those workout montages in the movies! Deadlifts: >they're going to call me a resturaunt because of how many plates I got. Squats: >I like to pretend I'm a housewife (male) that is trying to lift a a smartcar off of her child by getting underneath it somehow and squatting it.
Gotta make working out fun somehow.
James Ortiz
>squats GOAT. y'all a bunch of faggots.
>ohp makes me feel stronk and people usually watch
>row only pendlays. makes me dizzy as fuck, but still nice.
>deadlift used to go fairly heavy but my grip technique was dogshit. working my way up again with hook grip. am tall so it's also more difficult.
>bench much prefer incline and decline.
Nicholas James
Ohp: It's the manliest lift ever plus you get wide af shoulders Bench: I have good benching genetics and it feels good that I can easily progress on it. Rows: just like the ohp this helps develop a nice V-taper, who doesn't wanna thick and wide back? Deadlifts: another manly af exercise, love it. Squats: fuck that shit I'm a manlet and my legs grow like wheat.
Alexander Nguyen
>squat feel like i have a duty to do it >ohp my self-validation tool >deadlift i usually do the two above ones and don't do this >barbell row i just do dumbbell ones >bench it's pretty comfy, I treat myself to it usually after doing squat and ohp
My SL progression worked fine, is he just stalling on his diddly?
Josiah Bennett
>overhead: lifting weight over your head is a lot of fun, sore shoulders is a great feeling >bench: sore chest feels amazing >deadlift: lifting a lot of weight is nice but sore back doesnt feel as good as the first two to me >row: my right scapula is a little bit winged and these make my upper right back feel really weird, like skin/muscle is being moved by the bone in an unnatural way. Gives me the chills >squat: these put me out of breath, which no other lift does, and I only train legs so they dont look stupid compared to my upper body. I dont really feel proud about my ass getting bigger
Bench - I like it but I'm not very strong on it. My upper spine is fucked so I'm not very stable and also my right shoulder has issues.
OHP - It's alright. Sometimes I like it sometimes I dont.
Squat - Tedious but ya gotta do it.
Deadlift - God tier and I feel amazing every time.
Aaron Watson
Why does deadlifting feel so much better than squatting?
Jonathan Bennett
deadlift -knocks me on my ass the rest of the day but the next few days im refreshed and ready to do everything squat - never feel like ill ever get the depth i need to so i feel like im just cheating it ohp - my most satisfying movement cause it's a grinder the whole way bench - my best movement by relative weight, my pure ego lift, feels like its the most technical lift to me rows - i love the burn i get from rows in all variations of it
what it should be: squat> deadlift > rows > ohp > bench
Nicholas White
>For deadlifts and rows, I always feel like I'm doing them wrong, even when I'm not. are you me?
Anthony Allen
You actually pick up the weight in your hands + use more weight
Levi Morales
>deadlift i've hated deadlifts for a while but ever since i stopped ego lifting and instead worried about proper technique, this is the exercise where i can push myself the most. the feeling of working up the weight, then do ONE rep and be absolutely exhausted after is just awesome >OHP an overall very comfortable exercise, i feel like im engaging my muscles 100 % and not pushing my joints or anything which is nice. makes it easier to push myself as well. >Row awesome back exercise, really like doing this one. >Bench having trouble putting on more weight here. generally i feel like dips and cable flyers work my chest better, for me bench is more like a chore >Squat literally only doing it because i know that no one will think im serious about working out if i tell them i don't squat. hate it so much
Hudson Ramirez
Deadlift > Bench > Squat > OHP > Row
Isaiah Sanchez
>squat
I’m past caring what folk say, i dl and wallk the dog, that’s enough leg work for me
Lucas Cox
you can easily drop the weights so it doesn't fill like your life is at stake when you're reaching for a new max
Adrian Williams
This. No point in having the same thing written twice in a thread.
Leo Gray
>OHP ME BIG BOY >Dead Lift BIG NUMBERS >Squat I like how it feels like you're using your entire body in tandem to push the weight up. >Bench Having to lie down is gay. >Rows Having to bend over backwards is double-gay.
Dominic Hughes
squats: love em but trying to up the weight always fills me with dread deadlift: wanted to like it but i feel a pinch in my lower back whenever i try it. given up on it for now bench: the one i concentrate on improving the most. very moody lift though totally dependent on the day and even the slightest variation in form overhead press: favorite lift despite close to zero progress barbell row: hate it. if i never do it again i wouldn't mind it. cable rows ftw.
Squats: Feel it in my legs, feel stronk despite atrophied leg from injury and not that high of weight. Bench: Classic Deadlift: Tires my entire body out, fear of doing it wrong. Still love it. Overhead Press: Just tires me out and I don't feel like I get anything from it. Barbell Row: Least fav, don't even bother with these most of the time. Will do dumbbells or cable machines instead.
