each egg takes 50 years off your life

Yeah. It is a well established fact that saturated fat and cholesterol are bad for your cardiovascular health.

t. eats 5 eggs a day

I have 3 Scrambles Eggs a day

yes

Idk. Maybe. Who knows

ATTENTION
IF YOU EAT AN EGG, YOU ARE EATING AN EGG. I EAT FIVE EGG DAY, HARD BOILED, SOFT, SCRAMBLE.

ATTENTION
EGG HAVING AN EGG EATING AN EGG IF YOU HAVE ENOUGH EGGS. EGGS BUTTER, WHIPPED BUTTER, 1/2 TBSP PER EGG.

EAT EGG.

>healthline.com/health/high-cholesterol/rda

>there are no specific recommended limits for the amount of cholesterol you consume from food. But it’s still important to pay attention to the food you eat in order to keep your body’s cholesterol levels in a healthy range.

>Doctors now recommend that you limit the amount of harmful saturated fats, trans fats, and added sugars in your diet. You should also keep an eye on your cholesterol intake since foods that are high in cholesterol also tend to be high in saturated fats.

>The guideline changes are due to research showing that dietary cholesterol itself isn’t harmful and doesn’t contribute to increases in your body’s blood cholesterol levels. Cholesterol is a natural substance that’s produced in your body and is found in animal-based foods. It’s a waxy, fatty substance that travels through your bloodstream.

Pretty sure there's a recent study proving 1 egg a day is worse than smoking

One egg = one bad
Like if you agree

dietary cholesterol is probably fine
saturated fats (which eggs are also high in) seem to cause issues

keep it to 3 and under and you'll be fine

The reason people are dying from more and more things is because we're living long enough to reveal the fact that nothing is indefinitely sustainable. Eat your fucking eggs.

No, eggs do the exact opposite. Literally like a multivatimin in food form.

Choline
Vitamin K2
Lecithin

Stop following fucking MEMES

Also Vitamin D

>Also Vitamin D

I just named my favorites. But yes, user. Vitamin Diesel.

I eat 2-3 a day, dietary cholesterol doesn't matter. Sat fat matters but you'd have to eat 13 eggs to hit your 20g RDA.

>healthline
>kris gunnars

I used to regularly consume a dozen eggs a day. Am I dead by 45?

Spooky if yes.

>ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/22037012/
From 2012 literally ancient news. Get with the times grandpa.

Attached: trump_canada.jpg (400x249, 20K)

I'm gonna eat 4 right now.

Gosh darn it

No, but that much butter might.

You can’t seem to understand epidemiology. No point arguing zoomer

Do the nutrients vary depending on what the hens are fed and how they are kept? If I had some extra money, what eggs should I choose?

Only thing worth buying if you have extra money is Omega 3 eggs.
There’s no significant nutritional difference between regular and “cage free” or “free range,” but eggs that have added omega three have a better nutritional profile

That is literally asinine. I eat 2 eggs a day on TOAST and at that rate I should be -500 years old. Nice try but some of us here are actually inteligent.

>taking the bait

There's a study showing that one egg a day is really healthy and recommend
It's more than one a day which hasn't been studied yet

L

1 a day won't kill you. But the amount people eat here eventually will.

Being sedentary causes issues for the heart and arteries

It's actually more like 1 hour a day for every egg over 2.

>not realizing you're the one taking the bait

>not realizing you actually just got baited

ubvoted ebin XD

Yes they do! They're really bad for you. DO NOT EAT EGGS.
Just go and get that pizza or burger. They're much healthier. There's a study that says pizza adds 900 years to your life every time you eat one.

not realizing you got actually baited again

t. basedbean farmer

good cholesterol is required to synthesize hormones like testosterone which lifting increases the production of

eat good cholesterol rich foods like eggs to increase test levels

>Health Line.
>Epidemiological study.
>Haha guys look this country eats cholesterol but doesn't have lots of heart disease. So it means cholesterol is harmless. It isn't like heart disease is effected by multiple other factors haha.
>HDL totally prevents heart disease by the way, it isn't just that people less likely to have it have it also develop higher levels of HDL. Because correlation=causation.

They do if you fry them in a stick of butter like in the OP. Eat them hard-boiled or poached if you don't want to be a fatass.

You don't need cholesterol to produce test. Your body produces cholesterol on its own when it needs it.

>that guy who ate half a dozen eggs a day for 80 years

6 fried eggs a day, minimum. Preferably for every meal for a total of 18 fried eggs per day.

been doing this for +10 years, at lest the 6 egg a day breakfast and now I think I am addicted. I can't start my day without eating 6 eggs, I get tired.

How do I get into eggs if I don't like how they taste? Tried hot sauce don't like it. Will sausage help? I really want to eat them but I just can't stomach the taste

Eating 6 a day, so I'll found out if I drop dead soon

>How do I get into eggs if I don't like how they taste?

Have you tried salt+pepper and not overcooking them? Overcooked/burnt eggs are disgusting

It's that they have no flavor. it's spooky to me

Upboated

Have you heard of .. spices? Sauces? Condiments?

just don't be fat, diabetic, smoke, or get get wasted every weekend and you won't have to worry about memes like dietary cholesterol or carbsarethedevil

also do cardio and dont be sedentary. get at least 170 minutes of aerobic exercise a week

I dont give a fuck it's the best source of protein.
my family has no heart conditions
all my grandparents lived to 80-90 eating meat all their lives

eggs are fine as long as you don't fry them in saturated fat

put spices and sauces on it you retard

>vegan says eggs are bad
I dunno, I'm not sure he gets enough cholesterol for his brain to function.

Eggs are fine as long as you don’t add a lot of salt

This
Unless you have a family history of heart disease, just work out and get checked out yearly and you'll be fine even if you eat 5 eggs a day

eggs are fine as long as you cum in them

no. That's a myth to push slave food (grains, basedbeans, sugar)

Eat meat, eat fat. make gains

100% of people that eat eggs die

Easy. Age is stored as a signed 8bit integer.

Cheap, taste amazing, great macros, full of useful micros. Thanks, but I'll keep eating them.

That is literally asinine. I eat 2 eggs a day on TOAST and at that rate I should be -500 years old. Nice try but some of us here are actually inteligent.

>t. egg

fundamentally it's about blood cholesterol, now wether eggs will cause you to get elevated blood cholesterol depends on a lot of things like how many eggs, your general diet and your genetics.

Basically there is no real way to tell unless you get your blood tested.

>healthline

Will cutting cholesterol out improve my cardio and conditioning? Training for a marathon

>tfw your age is negative

Woosh

So do 100% of people who do not eat eggs.

(1/2)
As someone who has a semi-rare lipid disorder caused by genetics, I can shed some light on this question.

For the average person, if you eat a normal amount of saturated fat and cholesterol, you are going to be perfectly fine. Assuming you are not compromising your liver by excessive drinking, drug usage (including prescribed and OTC), or damaged it by shoving an ice pick through it, your system will work to clear out your blood and keep your lipid levels optimal.

That being said, if you are genetically normal but are a fat nigga, was a fat nigga, or abused the fuck out of your liver due to drugs or drinking, you will have likely caused some amount of scarring to your liver. This will reduce your body's effectiveness at breaking down the fats you consume, meaning higher lipid levels, or increased chance of heart attack and stroke.

In other words, if you are/were fat as fuck and/or ever an alcoholic, you might need to be cognizant of the fats you eat. The easiest way to know where your body stands is just to get a fasting lipid blood panel and some blood tests of your liver, maybe an ultrasound or MRI (depending). It'll give you a comprehensive viewpoint of what's going on with your body and how much of a shit you need to give.

Note: most of your body's ability to break down lipids IS genetic, so you might just be dealt a particularly shitty hand and there's fuckall you can do but manage it. It's good to know in advance, as your body only declines in effectiveness as you age, so if you ever go in and get it checked again, they can see how fast the degeneration is.

Testing, even if you don't think it is necessary, is really important. Lipid disorders generally do not manifest physically. They are referred to as "silent killers," because unless you are a pretty bad case like me, you don't know you have it until you have a heart attack in your late 30s and go "oh shit, what the fuck" and have a lot less time to reverse the damage. (cont.)

(2/2)
So then, what insight do I bring to the table? It is the simple fact that cholesterol is only really moderately influenced by diet. Cholesterol is much easier to manage and get under control through medication alone, meaning it is more related to what's going on internally than what you're shoveling into your face.

That being said, triglycerides are the real pains in the ass. They are extremely influenced by diet and exercise. A normal person can kick their triglycerides up to a substantial number if they are eating like shit, maybe even only moderately. Triglycerides are also extremely long chains in their chemical makeup, meaning they are more stubborn to break apart.

One of the best ways to keep your triglycerides in check, besides not eating like shit, is exercise, particularly aerobic exercises. I got lost on my lipid specialist's scientific explanation, but essentially, it facilitates the chains to break apart and lower your overall number.

So, to answer OP's original question, it depends on the individual. Lipid numbers are dominantly related to genetics, then administered damage, then diet last. Triglycerides are influenced by diet far more than cholesterol.

For the average person, eating a moderate amount of eggs aren't going to make or break your lipid numbers, and if they do, it will be in the triglycerides, not the cholesterol. On the other hand, if you have damage to your systems or have shitty genetics, it might be more difficult to process for your body.

Finally, everyone should get their lipids checked and possibly their liver checked so they know how well their body processes fats and how bad their genetic roll of the dice was.

Wat? Try some decent quality eggs they have great taste

>IF YOU EAT AN EGG
>YOU ARE EATING AN EGG

>Literally like a multivatimin in food form.

The only nutrient eggs are rich in is choline. They have very little vitamin D and no K.

they have K2.

YOU BETTER RUN EGG

Injecting them will mess you up.

Woosh

I stand corrected. Still, nutritionally pretty empty otherwise.

A recent study shows that if you eat an egg the egg will be eaten and you will have eaten an egg.
The choice is yours.

saturated fats are not associated with any harm, that myth has been discredited

It is a myth that it is a myth. Stop taking nutrition advice from blogs.

>A screencap from Medscape.

Great source faglord. What is next, paleomomcooks.com?

lurk

no.

at least eggs dont make my lungs wheeze like cigarettes do

The issue with eggs is that they are high in saturated fat and cholesterol. Both these macronutrients have been studied, but the results have been conflicting.

The biggest problem here is that it takes something like a degree in statistics to even honestly evaluate the results. I suggest you look at a relevant meta-analysis to evaluate the clinical results.

Basically: the results are in, and they're mixed. Look at them for yourself, but for the love of god, stay away from blogs that interpret the results in a way they WANT to.

For example, say a study tests two groups of American dieters, one which eats eggs, and another which does not. If these two groups have similar all cause mortality, then the study might say something like: "eggs have no effect on mortality" which tabloids take to mean "eggs aren't harmful" ignoring the fact that both studied groups had an AMERICAN diet, widely considered the least healthy in the world. So, the results of the study SHOULD have read: "eggs not worse for you than worst possible diet," which is significantly different.

Basically, look at the results for yourself, be critical, and be careful not to perform some mental gymnastics to justify your own habits. Always look for the truth, even if it is uncomfortable.

Citation needed

OP can send a link and we can check the sources ourselves and settle this

You can mould statistics and present it however it pleases you, which tabloids love to then immensely over exaggerate.

My favorite is "EGGS INCREASE RISK OF XYZ CANCER 60%!!!", but they never tell you that it's an increase from 0.4% to like 0.6%
