Keto fag here.

Works wonders when kept strict and you don't cheat. Lost 20lbs in the first two weeks I shit you not.

great for short term weight-loss, abysmal for long term diet-plan. but it works in general for some people. I tried keto and found my energy levels were incredibly low, but others report the opposite. Only way to know is to try it yourself. People respond differently to different kinds of diets.

I had low energy levels on keto until I fixed my electrolyte/micronutrient intake, particularly sodium/magnesium. Once I did that, I started feeling amazing all the time.

>Works wonders when kept strict and you don't cheat. Lost 20lbs in the first two weeks I shit you not.

What were you eating on a daily basis and what was your workout routine?

How did you supplement those things? Just like magnesium tablets?

If you’re going to do it remember to actually substitute carbs with fat instead of protein... Which is pretty fucking disgusting unless you eat 3 avocados a day you will be putting mayo and cheese on everything.

Just drink olive oil desu

Meme. It works well for morbidly obese fatties who can't control their appetites, and that's if they stick with the diet. Ketosis is slightly appetite-suppressing, and the diet, itself, is extremely boring. All the keto idiots who try to make keto bread, keto brownies, and other keto facsimiles of their old starchy staples are fat as fuck and never lose weight.

If you want to actually lift weights or otherwise be active, eat your carbs. Your muscles will thank you.

It takes 3,500 calories to burn off 1 pound of fat.
20 x 3500 = 70000
70000 / 14 = 5,000
You somehow were in a caloric deficit of 5,000 calories per day?

lol. I did just this. Four avocados a day.

Most of his weight loss came from water weight, guaranteed. He'll gain it right back when he goes back to eating like a normal human being.

>20 lbs water weight

Well if you're not ingesting anything that converts to and stores fat, then you burn off your existing fat just by being alive. At least that's what makes sense to me. So based on exercise, he could lose a lot of weight quickly. But what do I know, I'm just brosciencing.

I was following it for a while and I felt alright. Lost weight which has stayed off and I've got a much better handle on my sweet tooth.

i lost ~56lb in a little over 2 months back in 2016, weight has stayed off, appetite has stayed really low since then. but carbs seem to hit me really hard now, one candy bar and i'm practically comatosed. unlike before when i could eat 4 and not feel a thing

Breakfast:
-Eggs x4
-Bacon x2

Lunch:
-Sliced Turkey w/ Provolone Cheese

Snacks (eat these whenever you feel hungry throughout the day, just remember to eat in moderation):
-Pork Rinds
-Sunflower Seeds
-Pumpkin Seeds

Dinner:
Whatever the fuck kind of high quality steak they had at my local grocery store.

Workout routine was unironically nothing special, I just did supersets of Bench Press, Flyes, DB Curls, OHP, Tricep Kickbacks and Pushups.

Just note that my goal at this time wasn't exactly to get huge, it was to shred the fat that was still on me. I didn't get very much exercise back then and those movements were my only REAL way of burning the calories.

Also forgot to add, DRINK WATER.

I just had a protein shake after a few days IF/keto and my brain feels like its on fire

insulin sensitivty is a bitch

Think i can keto OMAD if I'm diligent and drink enough water? Eating that many times a day would be weird to me.

That's totally normal actually. Cells will hold a TON of water. This isn't a secret.

More than likely, yes. What I posted would be the absolute most I would eat in one day. I probably eat less than that just out of fear of gaining more weight. I was shooting for under 20g of carbs a day.

If you sit at a desk a lot or are on the move all day, just keep 2 bottles of water with you at all time.

I promise it'll help with some of the cravings too.

>Dumbass thinks that keto means you literally can't store excess calories
Fucking Jow Forums

You need insulin to store calories as fat. Protein releases a moderate amount of insulin, and fat almost none.

I carry around a gallon jug of water i always try to finish by the end of the day plus I'm taking meds that reduce appetite as a side effect. Guess I'll look into keto meals i can make ahead of time.

Good luck user, have a great day.

I think high-fat is kinda gross

Just try 50% carbs from green veggies
25% mainly meat proteins and some dairy proteins
25% mainly olive oil, maybe coconut oil, a little animal fats
a little fruit is fine, try low-sugar ones like berries

throw in some crap if you have to eat it, but any amount of sugar and starch will make you feel shittier than if you didn't eat it.

Been doing this shit for 2 weeks

Here's some of the immediate results I've had

>Lost weight
Whether this is fat loss or water weight, the numbers don't like
>Fixed my shitty midnight appetite cravings
I shit you not, I had a bad habit of waking up at 3 am exactly to from my fridge. It's completely stopped since then
>Better sleep
Now that my appetite is under control I've been feeling more well rested after sleep than I normally would. This is probably my favorite thing to come out of keto
>Suppressed hunger
I literally only consumed 1200 calories yesterday because that's all I felt my body needed. It's been on and off like this for the last week. Keto is great for cutting, in this regard
>Stronger will to resist sweets
Yea, I had little to no self control eating sweets. In fact the first 48 hours sucked because of it, I almost threw up because I was going through withdrawal that early into the diet

In any case, I'm enjoying it so far as one of the first diets I'm taking seriously. And plan on staying on it for another 4-6 weeks.

Good luck to you user

Some people have been on low carb their entire lives (see celiacs) . I don't think there's much evidence for it being long term as long as you have your 20 carbs a day be berries/veggies/nuts

it's just a way of using satiety to exploit CICO

Fastfags and ketolets utterkt BTFO by anonymous hero.

Nigger, your body utilizes insulin constantly as part of your cellular metabolism. By your logic, you could eat a caloric surplus on keto and not gain fat.

There are fewer legit celiacs in the US than there are trannies. Fucking fad.

Thanks bro. Keep up the good work.

Keto is the same as atkins, it just isn't as shilled as atkins

people have been on atkins for a long ass time, just look it up. you're blinding yourself to facts cause you're addicted to carbs and sugar lel

massive cope

Anyone have keto recipes you'd recommend?

pork chop fired in butter then add cider vinegar and jalapenos, cover frying pan and cook low for a bit

3 boiled eggs, ~50g cheese cubed, 2 gherkins diced, picked beetroot diced, 30ml honey and mustard dressing, ~250g salad leaves.
works out at around ~600 calories, ~60%fat, ~30% protein

I did it and stopped because that stupid fucking death breath that comes with it. If you dont really talk to anyone or your gf is ok with than go for it. idk how long it lasts either and wasnt gonna find out either.
Also i got tired of eating fat real quick. it just sucks. if you want to do it go for it but if not then just cut calories
