Can a manlet ever fight well? I am 5'5 and can rep 1/2/3/4 at 137 lbs. It seems that no matter how strong I am I will always be off range and lack mass. Can strength make up for lack of size? What martial art should I learn?

Also, are manlets even truly strong? Even if I bench the same amount of weight with a taller guy for example, I am pushing it for a shorter distance, so technically he can generate more force right? If we tried pushing against eachother, he would win? Or would shorter limbs also translate to more force output in that scenario as well?
Weight classes exist for a reason
Strong yes but you wont have the same mass. Shorter limbs = smaller lever
Bjj is probably the best since the range isn't as bad. With striking/kicking you'll almost always be out of range compared to your opponent, but on the ground you're right next to the guy almost all the time. Of course you'll still struggle slapping a triangle on a 6'2 200lbs guy, but there are benefits to being small too.
If you're talking about fighting on "da streetz" then just stop theorycrafting and punch first.
Yeah I am talking about "da streetz". I don't want to leave things to chance. What if I miss? What if it doesn't work etc.
>I don't want to leave things to chance
Get a gun or knife. Or do sprints so you can run away.
If you want to street fight learn to street fight. People fight dirty on the street and you should to. Don't do no BJJ bullshit because when two guys jump you grappling someone isn't going to help. But realise you wont be able to take someone significantly bigger than you
If you want to learn to fight in the street take boxing
Otherwise do bjj or join a mma gym for fun/fitness
Boxing is the only martial arts for the streets
Dude if you are 5'5 and 137 you are not strong you need to be at least 200lb. The reason tall people are stronger it's cause they weigh more than the average manlet.
Boxing. You learn to move and throw a punch. After that you can run away, no need for ego bullshit.
I'm trying. What I am asking is if me getting stronger than them will give me an edge against someone much bigger.
I think you should focus on an art that emphasizes on speed and agility since, for obvious reasons.
Though a gun is always better.
I'd say get a gun to conceal carry but at that height you're just asking for a suicide. Maybe try to get good at doing splits like JCVD? They probably won't help in any practical sense but I always thought it was cool as shit that he could do it and it might make your more likeable
I have the same wonder, as my manlets friend is stronger than me in lifts but I can out muscle him whenever we grapple
Bjj is an onvious choice for a martial art but if you want something that isn’t grappling or a bit more flashy taekwondo is another excellent option
My father told me of one time he was playing pool with a manlet once who knew the latter and apparently watching him bar fight bigger guys was “like watching a Bruce Lee movie. It was fucking ridiculous”.
Idk I wasn’t alive then but hey it’s kinda cool to think about
>I am 5'5
Don't stress yourself out little dude, in 5-6 years you'll be 18 and will probably have grown enough to feel ok. Until then don't post here user, the ban goes on your permanent record and we talk about naughty stuff a lot that you shouldn't be reading
Yeah someone answer this.
a 6'3 teenager whos never lifted will destroy a 1/2/3/4 5'5 guy 99% of the time
What do you do when your friends go on rollercoasters? Offer to hold everyone's purse?
How so?
He'd just jump on your head you worthless goomba
I am sure I can lift a teenager off me.
he just punches you nigga
you have to like jump to reach his head
you cant even get within striking/grappling distance, and even if you do he'll have a huge weight advantage
don't even bother trying to help the dude. there's only 2 possible outcomes and both are shitty. He either realizes he's forever fucked because of his height and that no one will ever take him seriously or he doubles down and pretends like it isn't a disadvantage wasting yours and everyone else's time
i seriously doubt you can rep 1/2/3/4 at 137 lbs
Get a knife or a gun, unless you live in a cuck nation that prefers you to be brutalized before reporting a crime.
If you get into a street fight, chances are they are trying to steal and run away, they don’t care how they win
yeah he seems to be already going with the latter cope
time to bail boyos
>137
Nigga I’m 5’6 and 154, bulk up a bit. Also boxing is the only answer.
Muhammad Ali took down guys twice the size of him. You need to learn how to use your height to your advantage.
100% This. Using BJJ in the street is even better because people dont know how to defend against it. My small friend (shorter and weight) took me down and almost broke my leg in a split second. He was explaining the moves to me so he wasnt actually trying to hurt me. Hes been a wrestler and has been doing BJJ for a few years now and hes always showing me things here and there.
Force = mass x acceleration (ie. yes, you're at a disadvantage)
Anyway, the only small guys that I know and can give me a hard time (am a seasoned martial artist myself) are explosive wrestlers/BJJ guys who are actually good at wrestling. That said, I don't do much striking.
being stronger for your weight also increases acceleration though
