I think that animals lack our concept of sexual purity and won't get shaken up if the sex wasn't forceful or physically harmful with a size difference. A mare, for example, can be fucked by a human and it be easy to tell that she doesn't hate or want to deny it, and that's not an evil thing. If we're arguing what is "worse", though, and one of the options is something as simple as if it's wrong and bad to watch someone take a shit, animal fucking has a lot more moral grayness and stuff to argue about, with it. Consent involves understanding what you're about to do, and what consequences it could have for you.
