Here is some advice to you kids who are new to this shit hole:
-Do a real routine like SS. Do not do a split. Once you are done with your first one you will know what to do, or at least which advice to listen. And make sure you follow that routine. Do not add your own shit. Do not half ass it. No, you will not turn into a t-rex if you are not already genetically prone to looking like shit. Most men are not. -Do not do any meme diets. Do not do paleo, keto, low-carb, carnivore, or whatever you saw on the frontpage of you-know-where today. Veganism is probably great for your health but may possibly be detrimental to your gains. Count calories, eat less if you want to lose weight, eat more if you want to gain weight. Make sure you eat lots of carbs for optimal performance in the gym. -You probably don't need any supplements at all. 0,8 grams of protein per pound of bodyweight is enough for everyone, and you can easily get that from your diet. BCAAs are a meme. Pre-workouts are awful for you and unnecessary. Creatine works, but I'd still not recommend it to someone who is still a beginner anyway. Multivitamins are useless and possibly bad for you.
-Being shorter as a male is an obvious disadvantage but not to the extent it will ruin your life, unless you are legit 5' or some shit. Being 5'10 makes you average in most developed countries, and 6' is above average in most countries. 5'9 is below average but still not to the extent it makes you stand out. Anyone 5'7 or above should not think of their lack of height as more than a nuisance. In fact, try to go for taller women, who for some reason appear to be less obsessed with height. -In my experience most women do not prefer men who are outright shredded. 13-15% bodyfat seems to be ideal. -5.5 inches are average. -No-fap is a waste of time and will only give you blue balls. If your greatest challenge is not touching your weiner, and if you think not touching your weiner will give you super powers, reconsider your life. -And always remember. Pic related is where you are.

thanks. But I've done SS for 3 months. What if I do PPL 6 days a week instead of SS 3 times a week? are all splits memes?
>Multivitamins are useless and possibly bad for you.
WRONG.
Christian Lee
Multivitamins are for people having issues with health not for the average person.

>therapeutic doses of vitamins are for people with health issues ftfy

I've done SS for six months and Reg Park's Beginner, which is basically just SS+ some extra work, for another six months. Is an Upper/lower routine based on the heavy compounds of starting strength still a bad Idea?
Isaac Jackson
There is nothing wrong with low-carb
Samuel Foster
I did strong lifts and got T. rex status.
46" chest with 15" arms, fucking sucks.
You need at least 1 assistance lift per compound lift and need to lift arms and shoulders.
Brayden Hughes
SS is literally built as a foundation, you have to add accessory exercises to

>Did SS and got fat with relatively weak lifts. >doing PPL and I can see my six pack and I'm relatively stronger than before. Hmmmm. SS was a waste of time for me.

Andrew Perry
>Wow I'm losing weight lifting weights for cardio golly
Christopher Barnes
You did not the presses with the right form.
Angel Martin
Nah. You skipped the part where I said relatively stronger. I'm still doing linear progression on my big compounds, I'm spending more time working out and I'm leaner than I ever was on SS.
