I've been doing situps for about 4 months now and I've noticed pretty much no change in abdominal physicality.
What should I be doing for core/abs?

Add weight, do weighted exercises.
Weighted situps? How does that even work?
Sit ups are the oldest meme. Try planking everyday, as long as you can.
sit ups are shite. Do leg raises, planks, play actual sports etc
Leg raises, start with bent legs, graduate slowly to straight legs, inversions, and winshield wipers.
Cable crunch is also great.
I like to superset both.
Cross T bars are good
Be wary of vortex shedding though
I found that sex is actually a great way to work core. Get into missionary and pump away for as long as you can.
dont have necessary equipment in my gym
Abwheel rollout.
Thanks me later.
Squats, deadlifts, and any other lift where stability, even Valsalva during chins
Stomach vacuums
unironically this
>planking everyday, as long as you can.
how long though? I'm already up to 2 mins x 3 per day and it's doing jack shit
for some reason i shake like a shitting dog the entire time
fill a backpack with heavy shit while planking so you can't hold more than a minute
You might be doing them wrong, i read somewhere that if you properly activate the core you shouldnt last more than 30 secs.
And for core ab wheel and hanging leg raises seem good.
thanks
Learn to squat and overhead press.
cheers broseph, will get someone to check my form again. I do find my butt creeping upwards towards the end
Hold a weight on your chest. Ideally a plate, but a dumbbell works too.
I use 2 25lb plates when i do sit ups. Works well.
It depends on what you want:
Want ab stability? Do static ab exercises such as planks and L-Sits.
Want ab strength? Do dynamic an exercises such as sit-ups, crunches, hanging crunches.
Want to better see the abs you have? Lose weight.
