What is "strong"?

what is "strong"?

guy posted this to /o/ claiming he deadlifts 200kg so that makes him strong, i don't lift but i'm sure i could deadlift 200kg pretty easily myself if i actually tried to get fit becasue i'm naturally athletic. pretty sure i could kick this guys ass

200kg deadlift is like 3-4 months of lifting, 200kg bench now that is fucking strong.

3-4 monts of lifting? That would be highly unusual. 200 kg DL is pretty damn strong.

come on just look at instagram, 200kg is common as fuck bruh

200 kg deadlift is strong. At my gym, only 2 people actually can lift that weight (although they do it for 5 reps max) and both also look big.

No it's not every 60kg twink deadlifts 200kgs now how many 200kg benches do you see?

how many 100kg benches do you see that actually touch the chest?

Henry Cavills deadlift max during Man of Steel for example was 197 kg according to Mens Health. Guy looked pretty big.

I hit 200kg x6 the other day, took me 16 months to get there (didn't train deadlift the first 8~ months), and only maybe a handful of other people can hit those numbers at my gym.. it's more difficult than you think (for reps at least, maybe a 1RM after 6 months of deadlifting)

100kg bench is also weak as fuck

>naturally athletic
Just go to the gym, try to lift something and then tell me if you still think the same afterwards.

consider how many people don't lift at all
consider how many people in the gym bench
consider how many of them can bench 100kg

Contrary to the belief of deluded fitards who don't actually even work out, the vast majority of people in gyms do not pull heavy. Most people are weak as shit, and only a handful of people in each gym are actually strong, except when it comes to powerlifting gyms.

nah lol, i look good naturally, i have betterthings to do than lift leolololo

did you read what u just typed lmao 60kg pulling 200kg is ~3.33x body weight. I'm more impressed by that than some 100kg dude deadlifting the same amount.

He probably deadlifted that for +10 reps
Also roids

lmao i was able to ohp 200 kg after 3 weeks behind my local gym you're weak if you can't curl 3pl8 in 4 months dude

So? same can be said about literally everything in the world, majority of people can't even cook a simple meal it doesn't make you a good chef. 100kg bench and 200kg deadlifts are something you can easily achieve in 6 months in any other profession you would still be called a beginner after 6 months.

OK hotshot, 10 years that shit will go down the drain with that mindset eZ

Why aren't you competing then? Stop estatting, faggot

>leolololo
wew it's like I'm on 2007 /b/

I would compete but I snapped some years ago
>pic related, me 1 year after snapping
still looked the same as when I was working out every day
heh, you kids just gotta put your mind into it...

Nope, that was his 1 rm max according to that article.

> i don't lift but i'm sure i could deadlift 200kg pretty easily myself if i actually tried to get fit

You can't actually think this.
Or you estatting heavily. Post body with timestamp.

I train in a PL/WL gym.

Nearly all the powerlifters deadlift high 200s into the 300s. The exception is the women and the beginners.

That said when I go to commerical gyms I never see anyone put more than 140 on the bar. A 200 dead makes you stronger than the majority of regular people, but it’s a low intermediate lift by actual strength athlete standards.

At what bodyweight?
It's decent, but nothing special unless he is weighs 55 kgs

Average old ladies are pulling similar amounts, so no that is not impressive

Attached: HIiCn_d.jpg (640x667, 42K)

Yeah maybe if you're Eddie Hall.
FFS, 200kg is respectable.
It's not awe inspiring, but it's not something weak people can do

>i don't lift but i'm sure i could deadlift 200kg pretty easily myself if i actually tried to get fit becasue i'm naturally athletic.

Fucking faggot, go deadlift 200kg first, then talk shit nigger

>dem bumpers

That’s no more than 100kg

>im a billionaire supergenius ultra athlete if you consider the fact that i could be these things if i actually tried
>why would i waste my time achieving anything when i can just realise i could achieve these things since thats just as good

when you're looking like shit in a decade you'll wish you sucked your pride in and joined us sooner. your loss m8

You can either stay week and keep coping or start lifting

Attached: file.png (929x592, 807K)

why lie? kek

>black plates with fucking paint on them
>bumpers
Ok coping dyel

Nigga look at the size of your head, are you a poison dwarf?

Rubber plates are bumpers you total spastic. Whether that’s cheap shitty Rogue CF plates or IWF certified steel core plates, they’re bumpers.

>no time stamp
I can also pull a pic from elsewhere mate.

Yep more coping. Like usual Jow Forums can't pull 200kgs but can shitpost on Jow Forums like no one else.

>200kg deadlift is like 3-4 months of lifting
are you retarded?

They're obviously not made of rubber, but whatever helps you cope, dyel

>can’t tell the difference between bumpers and steels

Back to Planet Fitness with you

>if i actually tried
but you didn't

All this cope posting isn't going to make your sub 405 deadlift any better, dyel

weight?

86kg 180cm

Why is it so impossible for you to hold up a sign with the actual date then?

>thread asks about if someone is strong and OP humblebragging
>turns into "DYEL DYEL DYEL" "POST DICK PICS BRAH"
>wowzer

Jakes on you I dl 415

>200kg bench
you are out of your fucking mind you stupid nigger

You need to understand that people start from different points. When I started lifting I could already bench 55kg for reps, getting to 2pl8 was laughably easy. Now consider someone who starts barely at 25kg, the grind is a lot longer. Or some fat fuck who can rep 70kg on his first day

It's foolish to say "lifting X is easy" or "lifting Y is hard" when there's so much difference between each individual. That being said if you're around normal frame (around 180cm tall, not a huge fatty or a complete skeleton) then I agree, within 6 months achieving 1/2/3/4 isn't exactly difficult if you do it all properly, and they are beginner-tier lifts

I did it after 8 months and people were surprised as fuck in my weightlifting gym

200 ohp
300 bench
400 squat
500 dl

if you didn't pull 200kg your first day on the gym, you are never gonna make it

please be in kg

Manlet

bro your eyes okay?

Post your 200kg dl for reps

Mixed grip is absolutely retarded if you aren't in a comp that doesn't allow straps, even then you can hook grip. "b-b-but straps are cheating!" don't wear a belt if you subscribe to that theory; I'll keep my biceps tendon intact thank you very much.

yeah I strap up if I'm doing more than 3 or 4 reps, otherwise hook grip is easy to train and get good at unless you're a bitch
I don't wear a belt though but have been looking into it

why is it retarted to keep training your forearms? you can lift the same with mixed and straps. just alternate the hand positions between sets,

I do not mixed grip and I do not advocate it, primarily for the purpose of training grip, but spreading misinformation bothers me so I must reply.

There is absolutely no risk in mixed grip if done properly. The risk involved occurs when you actually activate your bicep, which can happen without adequate practice of the grip because activating your lats in the lift will tend to activate your biceps if you aren't bracing your arm correctly.

There is but one simple tip to know in order to mixed grip properly, and that is to flex your arm straight (activate your tricep) to prevent the bicep from being used at all.

Yeah, on the internet.

>conventional deadlift
>mixed grip
Pick one retard

I've never seen a natty snapping his biceps on a deadlift.

>people who film their lifts for strangers are only showing themselves with heavy weight
That's weird.
Also:
>Jow Forumssurvey.jpg

I started at 225lbs lol. I swear the government is adding estrogen to water and processed food.

60kg twink here, no I can't deadlift 200kg

Don't go to the gym and try to lift anything. We already know how you think.

everything under 360kg is weak and means your muscles are soft and your skeleton is brittle

based 3-4 month poster

the shitpost level is off the charts. if you are actually being serious, how much do you weight?

MODS BAN THIS FAGGOT

Because posting cropped pics from BB.com's forums wins arguments

Based granny mogging all day powerlifter faggots

Either a troll or new lifter who still thinks people who say dumb shit like “3 plate bench should take 4 months tops with right routine”

200kg dl is very respectable and around the natural limit for someone with average genes

200kg deadlift is not strong unless you're a girl. 300kg deadlift is strong

>when they post body but you look better anyway

Attached: Screenshot_20180925-214045_Snapchat.jpg (1080x1920, 550K)

This whole thread seems like it’s full of 18 year olds

Is this fit now? Don’t come here often anymore

You wouldn't even be ottermode if you cut that disgusting fat off

never happened

Welcome to fit

I mean, I have pretty average genetics and I hit 200kg DL within 1 year of lifting.

Any guy without major physical disabilities can do it with good eating, sleeping, and workout intensity.

Why did so many faggots got baited by this?

>Specifically asks for timestamp
>Doesn't give timestamp
Larping Dyel Manlet twink detected

>i'm naturally athletic.

Post body.

Try 7-8 if you have decent genes.
