rows variations and chin-up/pull-up variations will hit your traps, OHP will also hit your traps, top this off with some face pulls or something

i mean they build muscle, but they build muscle in your hamstrings, glutes, and spinal erectors mostly, non of which are really going to be visible from the front
trap bar deadlifts hit my traps way more. try that, or farmers walks and rack pulls. really anything that stretches them out under a very heavy load

they really, really don't put a "fuck ton" of muscle on, they will grow your hamstrings, glutes, and erectors decently well but if you expect your entire body to get bigger from deadlifts you are going to be disappointed
and I hope you're deadlifting at least 500 if you are going to hype deadlifts this hard on the internet

you're right, and that's why they're not that great if you only care about building muscle and not about your deadlift max
with a deadlift max in the mid 500s i can still absolutely annihilate my hamstrings with RDLs using half of that weight for a few sets of 8-10 reps in a way that i never feel with conventional, and it takes a whole lot less time, effort, energy, and risk

I have been packing anywhere from 15-100 lbs per hand anywhere from 100 yards to 5 miles almost daily my whole life (farm raised) and never tried training strength till a few months ago.
I have always had larger traps and forearms, medium quads and glutes, and skinny everywhere else.

If that's true then in you have a case of genetics, I never did deadlifts until 3 months ago and always had huge traps.
