Snake oil. I do like cold showers though he's right it focuses your mind

You should do his thing and die from hypothermia like many others who did, you’d be doing the gene pool a favor

Helped me when the shower heater burned out during winter.
It works, but he's basically stole what Taoist and Tibetan monks did for thousands of years.
It's pretty nice though and more people need to listen to him, although it's boring as fuck to keep breathing in a specific manner for 15 minutes a day.

fixed my allergies. Better mood/headspace. More focused.
can't say I've noticed any significant fitness results, aside from maybe a bit of more endurance

I enjoy the breathing exercise, the holding portion really gives me a rush; kinda stopped doing it though because the breathing in and out thing to set up is sorta tedious

used to do his breathing thing before prs but someone told me you just don't realize you're oxygen deprived while you do that so i stopped.

wim hof breathing for 5 minutes in the morning will wake you up and get you going no matter how fucked up you are, i have tested this.

Yes i wanna specificly know about the breathing exersices. Not the cold water

yeah that's the whole point, you trigger divers reflex. This is literally blood doping without actually doping.

it allowed me to hold my breathe for 3 mins while i was doing it i saw no other benefits and now that i stopped im back to normal, and the cold water stuff well i still hate cold showers nothing changed

Did anyone improve their immune system? I've seen people claiming they stopped getting sick from catching a cold

yeah, I used to get a cold just sleeping without a shirt, at least 4 colds a year.
Now I haven't had a cold in 2 years, and I've done baths in a frozen lake for 3 minutes at a time.

How do any of you do Wim Hof breathing techniques without getting paralyzed? When I tried it, each time on the hold phase, my body would tense up and charlie-horse me in the calf, ankle, wrist, et cetera. I wonder if I did it wrong, or too intensely.

Went into the river like 3 to 5 times a week last winter (up to 15-20mins in them ranges from 12 to 6-4 degrees). Based as fuck it helped me a lot with not being a goddamn faggit and curing my hypotheroid. Its really good for bringing inflammation down and you will also recover much faster. Dont do it after lifting tho because it will stop the repairprocess in the muscles, at least it will bring it down in my opinion. But if you dont want to pack on mass and be arhletic as fuckkk, do it after training. This way you could train nearly everyday and be ready for the next workout the day after. Like is said recovery is bad ass on cold appliance.

Btw going into a river is much easier than doing it in a shower, in the river there is only in or out, once your in your in and the the stress from being in will last only a short whilr, remember to breath the pain away and you will make it. I also liked to think about that i might die doing this, but i never did and i felt like a awakened god each and ever single time i stepped out of the water. No deth cuz strongr then cold. Based my fellow incels, based.

Breath nigga breath, your body will tense the fuck up but as long as you have control over your breath you wont die, get mee? This is a skill and you need take your goddamn time with learning. Doing it in the river made it easy because we went all summer then we kept going in until october, then it was only 2 of us left. Each made sure to go at least 3 times a week in order to feel and adapt to the temp change in the water. Eventually we went through the december, then in jan february it was only i that was left. But i could only do it because i stayed consistent. My body was ready and i stepped into the cold world. I cannot stretch enough how great you feel when you come out of this cold world. Dopamin release +400, naturally induced nigga, cant just do it, gotta practive it over a longer period of time. Again, as long as you can breath normally and slow YOU ARE IN CONTROL AND YOU WILL CONQUER THE COLD MY NIGGAAA

>wim hof breathing for 5 minutes in the morning
Aren't you supposed to 3-5 rounds of it though, with each round of 30-40 breaths plus holds each taking 3 minutes or so.
I'm trying it but I've found regular deep breathing in focused meditation to have much more tangible mental/mindfulness benefits, but the wim hof breathing does wake me up a lot more and my breathing is a bit more controlled.

Do you do the breathing, exercise, stretching and cold shower full routine every day?

Where can I find the full routine?

What app are you using?

Do you mean the full routine the 8 week program pdf or just what the basics are?
Sure you can find it somewhere, saw it linked here once.

Has anyone read the full routine? I think people were saying it's all basically the same basic concept, probably just makes progressions in the push-ups, breath hold times, alternates between different stretches.

*yawn*
tell me something i don't know . sheep everywhere, let me guess, you breathe unconsciously the pleb you are

>Meditate
>Yoga
>Animal movements
>Stretching
>Foam rolling
>Work out
I'm trying to distill my daily stretching/mobility drills down to the most efficient form, what's animal movement and have any advice?

>hyperventilating for gains
>pass out and urinate on yourself

probably has no benefit other than being a free high, which still damages your brain via oxygen deprivation.

I feel ya dawg, same here, these last few weeks i bascially combined my fav yoga moves with my fav stretches and just mixed it all together. Now i can check off both hehe.

Animal Movements are very effective core and cardio stimulating movement patterns. They will tighten your ligaments n shiet all around your joint from the smallest joints to the biggest. I can only do like 3 and its ruough as hell for me but its fun and massively effective. Try legit form bear walks and glutterflies, monkey sidesteps, leaf in the air (on all fours your back facing the sky to back facing the ground, working all delts and stuff in your shoulder joints and works core obviously. Its weird trying to describe. Do an internet search for animal walks / movements and pic the ones that look fun to you, learn em then learn to combine them. Some say these movements are thr basis of certain martial arts or whatever. Hope this helps FAGGOT

I can nose breathe in controlled cycles, but I am also asthmatic. I don't see how breathing is acceptable when you're supposed to pause your breath during the hold phase. Maybe I misunderstood the process, but it didn't work properly for me.

I built more oxygen inside myself for this process in a powerful yet controlled manner, but it still stunned me each time as I neared or reached the hold phase. I would have this overwhelming pressure, my limbs and digits would all tense, and I had to just lay there in tight pain until it faded away enough to release me. Do you have any idea what I could have been doing wrong? I was interested mostly as a means of improving my respiratory health, but I don't want to even bother trying again if it's going to put me in another full-body choke hold.

QUIET. Get your asthma and peanut allergies and all that other made up bullshit out of my dojo.

I dont know man all i did was 30x long breaths in, shorter breaths out and then slowly but determent step by step into the water. If you get overwhelmed stop and focus on controlling your breath, once your in control again move forward and so on. Hope this helps

Does anyone have the vids?
The torrents in circulation don't have week 5/they have week 4 twice (labeled as week 5).

A research department in our hospital (which we collaborate with closely) has performed several studies on this guy and people he trained. They're still busy doing follow up studies and trying to figure out mechanisms, and seeing if they can find shit that would benefit certain patient groups. It's definitely not snake oil.

What's the difference between the weeks?

I haven't a fucking clue mate, as I haven't seen the missing one.
Going by common sense missing one week shouldn't make that much of a difference, it just annoys me that I can't find that shit anywhere.

I guess I can always just buy the program if I want too in the end.

I mean if you've read most of it, can you say whether all the weeks very different and what changes from week 1 to week 8?
As in: Would you miss much by just doing the basic set-up, whatever yoga poses you want for the yoga/stretch part, progressive overload the breathing/cold times, and read some guides on BFA breathing technique?

Haven't read the pdf yet, I've only started to watch the videos, I'm at the very beginning.

So yeah, I guess I'll start there.
