Does anyone else get feel like they'll be "counting calories" forever to keep in shape. Regularly exercising, eating healthy all sound fine but autistic-ly logging every bit of food I eat sounds depressing.

How do you just go about life without being autistic.

After a while you get an idea of how many calories each food has so you can just estimate without meticulously counting them with an app

meal prepping and calorie counting can work in tandem

spend your sunday planning each meal for the week and you'll be set instead of doing it every day

You don't need to count calories in an app to be in the top 1% of fitness.

I think it's fun to plot shit in.
Seeing numbers go up is satisfying

It's because you think of it as being trapped or something.
Using the same attitude it would be just as depressing, or even more to think that you will have to wash your dishes every day or do weekly chores for the rest of your life.
You just go ahead and do that shit without thinking too much about it and you enjoy the feeling that you now have a clean house / stayed within your calorie-macro goals.

Just eat foods you don't have to track

Just eat kinda less/more depending on your goals...?
It won't be optimal, but you probably aren't a cutting edge athlete, and it will be easier. day to day fluctuations dont really matter, what matters is the long term trends

I took a step away from that when I converted to meal prep full time, but really the penny dropped when I saw how little a 1800cal diet actually was and how little my body actually needed to function.

>non-fat foods
>all that fruit
>tofu

this chart is B level shit, don't share this or go by this

look up dr eric berg

Tell me your secrets pls.

you absolute retard

just look at the scale and if it goes up then cut down on food a little, if it goes down then add a little more food. it's that simple and takes 10 seconds

I never fuck with those apps. I check the calories of my food a few times and then just use rough estimations.

Same. Just weight the raw food before eating and simple math the calories. It's not hard at all, after a while I know what to eat and what not without blinking. Like for example tomatoes are so low in calories I know I can eat as many of them as I want without giving a fuck.

The issue with counting and eating 'well' only comes when you want to incorporate sugar and calorie-nukes. Otherwise you can eat most veggies and healthy food without counting anything.

once you really start getting in shape you will have to worry about it less and less.

Literal autism

I meticulously count calories like an autist, but I do it all way ahead of time since I meal prep multiple days worth of meals all at once.

It's honestly pretty easy when you eat the same shit regularly because after a while you just end up memorizing how many calories are in x amount of whatever food you're making.

>what is water weight

Once you figure out portion sizes you can basically just keep eating the same shit over and over until you change your program.
