you might as well ask me what my girlfriend is like

I'm a friend with competing bodybuiler. We sometimes train together but not often.I think the only lift I'm stronger than him is ohp and he has complimented me on it.
But honestly it's better to lift alone. Pump yourself up with music and concentrate.

I train with my little brothers quite often

Met through work. Can absolutely outlift me, but im also a dyel. He's pretty much the most chad like person ive ever met. Everywhere we go women check him out or flirt with him, especially when his gf is around. He's probably banged more women than any of my other friends combined.
The best thing about him is even though my lifts wouldnt be considered much at all to all you faggots here on Jow Forums, he makes me feel like Hercules when my numbers go up. My only issue is i get mogged just standing next to him. I figure in a few years we'll be roughly the same size lifting the same weight. 10/10 workout partner and bro wouldnt trade him for anyone.

>do cardio with gymbro today
>he's putting in no effort
>slowing down, looking at his phone
>same attitude to lifting
>lifts babbyweight nowhere near his limits
>probably doesn't go to the gym if we don't go together
tfw gymbro is a gains goblin

>rock up to gym every morning like pic related
>he has a qt gf, ima virgin
>he out benches me
>somehow mogged
>makes me HUNGRY for gains

The guy who's my roommate now introduced me to this guy at the gym a year ago. Last semester, my roommate and I (who weren't roommates at the time) weren't going to the gym together anymore because our schedules didn't line up. Gym bro was still there, and I still see him on Mondays and Wednesdays when I go in the morning. He usually lifts more than me unless it's on squats because my manlet body gives me better leverages. Idk if he lurks here but I've had a suspicion for a while, might ask him if he's feeling fit sometime.

something I wish I could relate to :(
my only brother is a few years older and is a lazy fat ass

My gymbro is my teammate from high school football, and my best friend. He out lifts me in just about everything except arms. Primarily because he was an offensive lineman and I was a line backer. Great guy. Best friend I could ask for.

Good guy, dedicated to gym, but is otherwise slacking and at this point seems eternally stagnated. Afraid to bulk, afraid to cut, strength is mostly stagnant, doesn’t put any effort into diet yet complains about plateauing. Has realistic goals but won’t put any effort into it outside of the gym which is a shame
>at home
2 gym buddies. 1 works hard and has a very solid consistent diet and sleep but just has bad genetics or something, can’t seem to put on muscle. 2 is a pretty standard gymbro that hasn’t been lifting for too long, trying to slowly teach him the ways

A friend I work with that joined the gym almost six months before I did... and only went for the second time when I went.
Kinda fat, eats shit despite constantly saying he needs self control and gives me unwanted fitness advice as well as focusing on bullshit isolations before even making basic progress on the basics first. He's taller and broader than me and could be an absolute beast if he put the effort in and cleaned up his diet, but instead I'm ahead of him in leaps and bounds.
He's a bro and a good friend- I just wish he'd put the effort in for himself.

There's a guy in my gym late at night who is almost my strength level, who mainly does Olympic lifts and back every other day. I'd strike up a convo with him but for some reason i find non threatening or alpha dudes harder to approach. Dunno why. He trains intense and is getting stronger

My gymbro is my dad, he asks me to record his deadlifts so that he can show off them on facebook later

I havent seen my gymbro in a long time :(

>tfw your gymbro starts to ignore you, haven't trained together for almost two months and barely says hi at the gym anymore

Oh well, it was nice while it lasted.

My gym bro talks non stop once he gets into a topic. One time he started a conversation that lasted from stretching, showers, driving to the store , shopping and then dropping him off.
Another time I sat at a rack for 20 minutes straight listening while he was going on about something. Had to sho him away.
He is a god guy, just needs to focus more on lifting.
To be honest I never remember what he is on about.

It’s like me drinking a lot of milk, shit just gushes out.

Gym bro is literal bro. He needs someone to keep him to his routine, I need someone to spot me. Perfect match.

My first gymbro was a friend that got me into lifting. He doesn't go to the gym anymore so i go alone lol

How do I get a gymbro

More specifically, I want to do bodyweight/calisthenics I guess and get ripped more than just put on straight mass. I’m naturally fit, but also naturally skinny with awesome potential for a killer bod. How do I find someone near me that wants to bro together doing this stuff, preferably outside a couple times a week? How did you do it? Craigslist? /fit?/ right place at right time?

My gymbro has a great sense of humor. It sometimes brings me out of focus but he cant help being funny. Other than that he's continously checking my form and helping me set goals. I'm slowly getting more knowledgeable as well so the help is more mutual now. Consider him one of my best friends. Feels good

>been best friends since we were 5
>he saved me from being molested, it's not as interesting as it sounds
>but still, bro for life
>both of us have been skinnyfat all our lives, me more fat him more skinny
>decide I'm fed up with it, get my dad's weights from storage
>invite him to workout in my garage with me
>currently 1 month in, doing Reg Parks beginner
>we still have to hold each other's legs during pull ups

Gym bro is my brother, two polish boys going to three gym throwing heavy shit around and then going to the store for pierogies and potato pancakes to eat before vaping on the porch

>tfw no thicc qt gymbro

I met my gymbro playing League 7 years ago. Back then I didn't lift and he was fat as fuck. We didnt know how close together we lived. 2 years ago he moved even closer for college. He started lifting. 7 months ago I started lifting. 6 months ago I met him for the first time. Now we lift together all the time in my home gym. He stalled out lately on bench and was losing motivation. It wasnt until I got within 10 pounds of his max that I saw him actually start trying to lift again. If it wasnt for him I would never have lifted and if it wasn't for me he would've quit trying. A gymbro is essential.
