stop being a carbfaggot

This is good advice.
Add refined sugar and carbs too to the list.
>cut caffeine
even green tea? :(
Start cooking with turmeric, black pepper and ground black cumin.

Cooking turmeric makes it more bioavailable and black pepper potentiates turmeric absorption as well. Black cumin is just legit in itself.

Also these spices arent as potent as you'd think in changing taste so it's just a health boon with close to no negatives.

>even green tea? :(

yes. If you need tea, switch to rooibos for the time being

cut any form of grains / wheat
cut diary entirely
cut sugar in any form
make sure you drink plenty of water every single day
consume fermented vegetable daily
try fasting for an entire day once a month so that you can give your metabolism a break
consume nuts, almonds, sunflower seeds daily

best advices so far

I've just been listening to podcast interviews with scientists on this topic!
Start here:

One of the many factors is the poisons being dumped on the farms, making it's way into our guts, killing our microbiome and causing inflammation and leaky gut...
The take away is to only eat Local, Organic, Whole Plants.
this: You Are What You Eat.
Eat dead animal? you gonna be a dead animal.

Tumeric has never been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties. It was literally a hilarious scam where some pajeet faked results and started selling it, all his papers were revoked.

No diet other than parenteral feeding has ever been demonstrated to help the disease. However to ease symptoms it can be good to cut or reduce dairy, sugar, caffeine and alcohol. If you develop strictures then either chew food well or take in less fibre.

If you don't have symptoms affected by these things there is no need to cut them as it's not a dietary disease and the most important thing to do is keep your weight up, so don't fall into neurotic restrictive diets.

What about chamomile?

it's fine

>Eat dead animal? you gonna be a dead animal.

That's the most retarded thing I've seen in a while.

Yes and cochrane review found it all to be shit.

Take medication and cut back on alcohol. Don't listen to faggots that will say this or that causes flares. It's really amazing all the disinformation out there regarding IBD, it is worse than the audiophile community the level of delusion.
t. Ulcerative colitis man

>fasting

This. Even alcohol doesnt worsen the disease as such, it irritates the gut lining and can give you a day or two of worse symptoms but it doesn't change the gut pathology. In crohns it seems to be some infective organism invading the gut combined with a macrophage malfunction, colitis seems to be more autoimmune.

So meditation will work better than proven natural methods to minimalise and prevent inflammation ?

Medication you fucking moron.

I always see nixed messages regarding this topic. Doesnt dairy help with your gut bacteria?

Fermented dairy (Yoghurts kefir) and shit like that does I believe. Milk doesnt

Probiotics can help

Dairy doesn't worsen the disease. The issue is that to digest it you need lacteals, which are fine structures in the villi. These are destroyed pretty quickly with inflammation meaning milk goes undigested leading to discomfort, diarrhoea and pain.

If milk doesn't bother you there's zero reason to avoid it

No user. Just take your drugs. My father had UC and it almost killed him. IBD is no meme; listen to your doctor instead of tards here please, no matter how desperate you get.

He probably can't eat those in the first place, except maybe some cheese.

Carbs are pretty much the only thing virtually all IBD sufferers can eat safely. Fibreless, refined starches are very easy on the bowels.

And you people are out of your fucking minds. Turmeric? Black pepper? Spices make IBD go berserk. I mean maybe turmeric can help a bit, but anything even remotely hot would fuck his shit up.

Same with this. Fibrous vegetables would fuck his shit up. Some nuts are doable IIRC, and can be especially useful if he is trying to gain weight.

The golden rule here is that you should go on a heavy elimination diet. This is an autoimmune disease; literally every case is different. Try everything and see what works out for you.

And don't you fucking fast, for fuck's sake. IBD sufferers barely have the strength to get out of the bed sometimes.

RIP. Do you lift? How does it work for you? Can you bulk?

Sensible response. I have crohns and went through a stupid stage of weird diets. It basically turned a bad starvation state worse and i was basically dying. The doctors are right when they say take the meds and EAT. More than anything you need nutrients.

I take my steroids and immunosuppressants and eat everything. The only thing i avoid is alcohol because i have enough off days that i dont want to add hangovers into the mix. Just eat OP.

A lot of people ITT are confusing IBD with IBS. Not the same thing, not the same treatment.

I'm pretty sure suicide is the best treatment for both

I lifted till I fucked up my shoulder a while back. I can eat whatever I want. The only time to avoid certain foods is during a flare. My medication keeps it under control and it doesn't bother me at all. Stop spreading disinformation you don't know what you're talking about.

try going on a month-long water fast

it will suck hard, but it completely resets all of your gut bacteria

>I can eat whatever I want.
>This means everybody can!
>What are autoimmune diseases.

Retard.

I don't think you read past his first line. He goes off on nonsense about eating nothing and how it's an autoimmune disease which isn't true and hasn't been believed to be so for several decades.

You fasters are probably the most stupid collective on the internet.

Oh shit you're right. I just saw him saying take meds.

Cannabis. Add bud or leaf to your smoothies and use a crock pot or bain marie to infuse some coconut oil/butter.

Fuck off. Only has use as a painkiller which most IBD sufferers don't have day to day, fatigue is the main permanent symptom and cannabis will just make that worse.

>Sativa makes fatigue worse
Okay then, brainlet

Medication is all that matters. If you talk to any doctor with the idea you've discovered a dietary key to your disease they're going to treat you like a retard. But whatever keep believing your internet health forums

oral bpc-157. thank me later

I have UC too, you ever tried CBD oil to reduce flare ups? I've been taking it for a few weeks now and it seems like it's helped me a lot.

Have you ever tried not shilling meme products and instead reading trials every so often?

I'm not really shilling anything, i just said it MAY have helped ME. I've had UC since I was 7 so i've went through my fair share of snake oil, so i'm sceptical of anything and everything, including CBD.

Unironically paleo or better yet keto.
Eat plenty of probiotics.
Drink green tea.

I take canasa suppositories as mine is limited to nuh rectum, it's not a severe case. I haven't had any problems since I've taken it. Also I used to eat like shit and then started a more proper nutritious diet and that was when I started to see blood in my stool, unknowing for months it was colitis till I finally went to doctor

what if i eat live animals user, then what

cut out all fruits and vegetables and go full carnivore. the fibre in the fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts etc will destroy your already sensitive bowels.

Certain foods are known to exacerbate IBD in certain patients you brainlet. Even if you give fibre or spices to someone who doesn't have IBD but just a random diarrhea, they are going to make them worse. Just because you are not sensitive to specific foods does not mean everyone else isn't.

And lmaoing at this thread. People here legit don't know the difference between IBD and IBS.

>These are the people giving you advice.

MY DUDE AVOID GLUTEN
I know it sounds like a soccer-mom tier meme but it's true, some people are gluten sensitive even though they're not full-blown celiac.
Try removing wheat from your diet.

That is during a flare, like I've already said you fuckhead. Once again THERE IS NO EVIDENCE THAT DIET CAN CAUSE FLARES

Foods can make a flare more uncomfortable but they cannot cause one nor do they make the flare worse. Diet is totally unrelated to the pathology.

Want to tell me how gluten causes granulomas in the gut wall?

This is literally not true. Every case is different in IBD. No specific foods may cause flare-ups for you. That is not the case for everyone. My father for example got flare-ups from so little as some popcorn.

And yes they do make flares worse. How about you try some hot sauce the next time you have a flare?

Your father is a gullible retard and so are you. Fuck off.

Lots of people are idiots, your dad included. Trials of food sensitivities in IBD found no correlation between stated sensitivites and actual reactions, and disease extent and intake of proposed sensitive foods.

The disease has literally nothing to do with diet.
