Something I have noticed is that men who fall under the definition of beta bucks, meaning financially successful men who are un-confident, meek, unattractive, insecure, and don't project masculine personalities are almost, exclusively found in STEM careers.
My computer science classes, math classes, bio classes in college were loaded with guys on the road to being beta bucks. About 60% of them were virgins, and the rest only had one girl friend throughout college. They didn't workout, were very timid, didn't like partying or approaching women, meek, yet were extraordinarily intelligent. A lot of them had boring personalities. They went on to work at Google, Facebook, Apple, etc, and some to medical school or pHD programs.
However, outside of STEM careers, I have never really encountered a true beta-bucks man. All of the men in business, finance, law, etc had a solid way of meeting women and having their fair share of girlfriends, or being confident around women. They aren't chads, but they never seemed to have immense difficulties finding women.
Guys with more advanced social communicative skills are less likely to be losers. Huh, who woulda thunk
Kevin Murphy
99% of betabux are found in the Tech and Math portion of STEM. Scientists, lab technicians, doctors, nurses, engineers, etc tend to be more likely to take care of their bodies because they better understand the implications of physical weakness. That, and they do more fieldwork. Techies rarely leave their office caves.
Henry Garcia
well maybe you should be with the computer nerds
Christian Hall
If you want to be successful in STEM you pretty much have to have some autism.
Jason Robinson
beta virgin here 1st year of CIS which I already absolutely hate fuck college holy shit can confirm
Adrian Taylor
This. I met wll my lifting buddies in my high school chem engineering class, we still lift together to this day.
Easton Myers
Nothing worse than a beta nerd who lands a decent job and gets a 4/10 gf and he suddenly starts to act like he is the shit because he managed to get a well paying job and finally got a gf, nice bro you finally did what millions of others have done, wow bro, youre such high status now bro
It is even worse when this kind of loser starts giving out advice as if he’s experienced, bro you’ve had 1 job your entire life and a single 4/10 GF, nobody wants your advice Cringe everytime
Bentley Diaz
Meh. My gym is filled with PhD students from STEM. Am a postdoc meeself. But strangely I never see people from the psych/literature/geography/philosophy faculties there.
Granted, the humanities guys are unlikely to end up as betabux because you have to have money to be one. But weakness isn't restricted to STEM, it's just that people who are into intellectual pursuits in general might be more likely to not spend too much time doing sports.
Also every married man is a betabux, no matter his shoulder width. Don't get married if you don't want to be taken advantage of.
Jack Watson
There's one philosophy professor at my university that is an absolute unit, and when I was in his class he almost always wore a shirt from a gym. I think he's got like 15 differnt Gold's shirts.

In my experiences undergrads are behaving as OP describes them, but PhD students and postdocs tend to be fit. Many need it as a counter for all the abstract stuff at work, at least I need lifting to come down and stop thinking about work or books and just shut down my mind.
Landon Gray
Yep my plan. >Get fit >get that engineering salary > wait for someone to love me
Justin Morales
Yeah, it gets tiring, and you can't do mental work around the clock like when you were 18. Also, weirdly, most of the dudes in PhD are single, even the manly looking ones, and all the women in PhD are in LTR Gotta spend that energy somewhere.
Charles Phillips
>most of the dudes in PhD are single That depends whether they are in a country where PhD students are really students, or countries like Germany where they get a normal salary. Because here almost all PhD students get married before they finish.
Eli King
EE major here, most of my peers are beta af and don't work out at all. I've been lifting for a bit over a year now and I'm decent with social interactions so I tend to stand out from them a lot.
Jose Edwards
Not in my experience (though there are some).
The beta's I know work in call centers, graphic design, bar jobs etc
Dominic Ramirez
Uni's are where beta's are made
Jeremiah Sullivan
This guy gets it. You can't spend 10 hrs per day or more at your desk or lab without doing sports of some sort or you simply lose your mind completely and fail your PhD.
Parker Green
And obviously you don't fall into that category, right?
Jack Reyes
i take mecheng and its a mix of losers and gym dude bros
Luis Peterson
im both by the way
Parker Butler
>Tfw mechanical engineering classmate is also gym bro
While we're complaining about University makeups I feel like a lot of people in my degree are either beta men or girls. English major btw. Also I get womansplained about toxic masculinity a lot in class
Brody Powell
Idk man, I know plenty in law, sales and corp. middle management. Basically any place where you earn above average money. It's just the way it is, guys think earning good money will make them impressive and get them girl.
Eli White
Besides business, what is a Chad major/career path? Trades? Sales? Librarian? What?
Grayson Torres
Can confirm, lifting helped me not kill myself in grad school
Literally everyone else in post-grad in my department (drug science) was functionally autistic in some way
Gabriel Clark
since graduating every other engineer I’ve met has been a big guy. The others are usually basedboys or obese but compared to normies the number who lift is well above average Pretty sure our division engineering director is on test at a minimum
Asher Garcia
As someone who finished their English degree, I can confirm this. Everyone in my class was either a lefty roasty or a mega beta. Got womansplained all day and had to sit through hysteria during the 2016 election. However, I was the only male in any of those courses with actual testosterone, a good physique, and a working dick, so I fucked a lot of those roasties and let the betas feed on my scraps.
Jayden Hall
as a pajeet, i will pasheet in the streets and pareep all of ur wimen

better start designating some bitches for me too son or the jeet squads gunna hunt some men
Higher IQ is linked to delayed loss of virginity and fewer sexual partners for both genders. The higher IQ a woman has, the lower the chance of being a single mother.
You only fuck up if you can't find an equally high IQ qt.
My first gf and I both lost our virginities to each other at 21. My current gf lost hers at 23 and my best friend who's a borderline genius/Amazon HQ software employee took his fiance's v-card when she was 27 (she's a chemical engineer working for a government contractor- she's not terrible looking but not great either, about a 5/10 which is roughly on par with my buddy's appearance).
Charles Wilson
>Also, weirdly, most of the dudes in PhD are single, even the manly looking ones, and all the women in PhD are in LTR
Women don't want men who pull down 30k a year and have dismal job prospects- wow.
Brody Anderson
The "weirdly" was sarcastic.
Austin Diaz
>PR major >everyone is a thotty or a beta male
I got my AA and don't want to continue that shit. Literal busy work. I wanna be a cop or something involving my body that isn't gay porn
Nicholas Harris
>Tfw CS major and one of the biggest dudes in my gym at school There's a couple of other dudes who are enourmous though
Aiden Martinez
This mainly comes down to a lack of exposure to or will to exposure to many of the social activities of people that aren't as interested in abstract and nerdy things. It's less easy to bond with most people if everything you do involves working with topics most people can't understand.
Kayden Wright
Nice, same boat here and one year left. I remember the election. I basically had no class that week because everyone needed therapy
Ethan Fisher
Being in an environment with beta virgins will make you a beta virgin if you're already insecure. I was this but I decided to become a nurse and I've gotten a lot more social and confident as a result of being forced on a daily basis to interact with lots of people. I don't recognize myself from three years ago when I didn't even have female friends.
Cooper Barnes
>people with higher intelligence focus less on their body on average some genius level observation there op
Xavier Gutierrez
>English major btw why would you do that to yourself?
Nathan Harris
literal shit tier jobs that destroy your body before youre 40 and you have to be in the top 0.1% of it to make it chad isnt equal being dumb you know chad profession is being a surgeon or something that gives you status. not fucking firefighter lmao
Josiah Brown
You use whatever skills come easy to you to make money with. People with shit social skills probably put their time into something solitary.
>About 60% of them were virgins, and the rest only had one girl friend throughout college. They didn't workout, were very timid, didn't like partying or approaching women, meek, yet were extraordinarily intelligent. A lot of them had boring personalities
Fuck, this describes me so accurately, except I started working out 4 months ago and I do a finance degree
Help me lads how do I not be beta bucks? I genuinely don't like partying or clubbing.. Should I be trying to get a gf in uni?
Matthew Perry
Chad doesn't care about status, he IS status. He also doesn't care that much about money beyond supporting himself. He cares about living his life, not muh career.
Ryder Garcia
Librarian here, my career is 90% female I get lots of attention even from the teachers, it feels good
I agree that someone should be more balanced and that money isn't everything. But maybe they think it is. Maybe their life is their computer job and their gold-plated waifu pillows with built-in heated artificial vaginas. What's yours?
Parker Hill

>I genuinely don't like partying or clubbing Good because that's how you meet hold digging whores. >Should I be trying to get a gf in uni? Uni or anywhere else. You gotta be involved with the world mang. All the people with great relationship I know met in a context where they had some shared experience. Could be school, could be some association/NGO, work, a leisure club, I don't know.

OP couldn't handle CS1, had to drop out of the class when the professor started talking about for loops and this post is the result.
Kayden Richardson
I'm a medfag myself but I know a lot of scrawny STEM dudes and they are perfectly happy. They have their own group of friends, study something they have interest in and make decent money early on. They are usually pretty laid back and drink heavy too
The only miserable people I see are the ones on chan, people who unironically have absolutely no personality, interest or anything going on in life so they put weights up and down and post autistic frogs all day. That's some sad shit man, not a bunch of dudes who dont have the desire to be something they arent. Also lately on the internet I see a lot of hate for STEM and "Stembros" or whatever and I don't get it. STEM covers a lot of fields and variety. You can combine engineering with biology, work in a forest, work in nature, in a mine, on a field. Or you can work in a completely sterile office environment. I see more hate for STEM than annyoing STEM dudes. Also the hate never comes from people who study medicine, pharmacy, law, history or anything decent. It always come from shitty bartender degrees who are upset for being called out
Carter Jenkins
I plan to work for a few years then get a PhD or something, while I save money to buy more houses and live on the rent. I don't want to spend all my life working desu, it's just sad to work yourself for 40 years
Gabriel Powell
> be user > work at IT company in city known by my country for tech > everyone has a weight problem, most are overweight or obese while some are skinny fat or with several auschwitz, all the women that work there have a bit of a gut > Can't button shirt up fully 'cause of neck, like rolling my sleeves up, pants show off ass instead of hiding it like most other guys, meaty thighs > Mostly guys, hear them talking about anime, comics, defining themselves by whatever Chinese shit they consume > Make fun of them sometimes with knowledge only someone who also partakes would know > Say stuff like "watashi was gomenasai omae was no shinderu" in presence of a group > Internally laugh while they try to figure it out and how I'd know since they keep thinking I played football and didn't watch anime

Jaxon Morris
>they make good money >therefore they are miserable great arguments presented here in the first place lad tell me why should some successful young guy feel like shit?
David Miller
I liked computers when I got into the field. Now I make 6 figures and fucking hate everything having to do with them.
Nathaniel Ross
>I genuinely don't like partying or clubbing go to the party for 2 hours, chat and have 2-3 beers. avoid getting wasted and cringey dancing
Luke Jackson
I'm not that lad, just your post seemed redundant, because he already admitted stem brings money. His point was that money won't unfuck your lackluster personality and inability to enjoy life.
Chase Cooper
I like to study literature and read. Also I want to teach elementary school while focusing on getting a master's/doctorate eventually. I really enjoy teaching as a sub/tutor and I want to take the next step towards that career path. I need a degree for that and English is a good degree for it. I may get my masters in psych/education
Christian Rodriguez

I highly disagree, money is a tool that allows you to unfuck yourself and give you a great personality through interesting hobbies. People who say that money isn't important are either lying or have simply never experienced a genuine lack of it.
Josiah Perry

I start classes for an associate's business next week, are there going to be any girls in them?
Samuel Sanders
That sentence doesn't even make any sense. They're not "trying to figure it out", they think you're being fucking retarded.
Levi Baker
>lackluster personality and inability to enjoy life But this is just straight-up projection from your part. The only people I see who clearly don't enjoy living are the ones on chan/tumblr/reddit. not the nerds irl
Hows highschool mate? Everything thats worth something needs time and dedication to achieve. thats why they worth anything in the first place just common sense
Juan Morgan
>high salary >forced to be assertive because dealing with scumbags, assholes, and sociopaths all day >nurse poon right and left
Medfags BTFO out of stem. Even the pajeets end up chads. Except for the high divorce and suicide rate.
Samuel Morris
>Everything thats worth something needs time and dedication to achieve
>intelligence and looks are genetic >wealth can be inherited >nepotism exists
It's a nice thing to believe, but there are people who are set up for a better life than you just by being born.
Isaac Gonzalez
Yeah but intelligence alone won't make you a living. You still need to put in effort to get a degree, job, need the right work ethic etc. Lot of intelligent people/people capable of doing better in many aspects don't utilize it. Especially looks, you still need to stay slim or work out, groom yourself, etc. and it won't give you a living. When it comes to inherited wealth, someone had to work for it at some point.
>but there are people who are set up for a better life than you just by being born Yeah and there are billions who are set up for a much worse. No one denies that, its just pointless of focusing on it
Logan Bailey
>its just pointless of focusing on it Exactly. So is relentlessly chasing arbitrary stuff like status.
Jacob Green
My sister is a medfag and I've tagged along with her at parties where the majority of the people were also medfags. This is wrong. A lot of medfags are really beta. Some of them, when talking to my sister asked if they were allowed to compliment her.
