What does Jow Forums think of the steak and eggs diet? It seems like it could work since it’s more or less keto carb-cycling. Hell, you could even do intermittent fasting 20/4 with this since it’s just two meals a day.

steak and eggs is a great high-test meal for late in the day when you don't need carbs. but be warned, the keto flu is real and if you do this for a few days you're gonna feel like shit

It's perfect. Good fats and cholesterol for test production, high protein and low carb to keep you full.

Keto flu is very real but damnit the weight loss is fucking amazing. I’m doing OMAD with just a JJ unwhich and I’m shedding 5+ lbs a week. 250 start weight, current is 182 as of this morning.
I did some 3 day and even a 7 day fast as well. I’ll soon be at my 12% bf and I’ll start bulking and lifting with SS

Just eat some quality fruit and vegetables with some complex carbs (Brown rice, quinoa, etc.) on your carb reload day and you're good.

If this is your first keto type diet, then keto flu will be a bitch. What helped me was sipping on some warm beef stock throughout the day until it stopped.

Headaches aren’t the keto flu from my limited understanding. That is a lack of electrolytes. I’m no expert, but the only time I got a headache was during fasts, and I drank snake juice to deal with it.

My keto flu feels like a flu. I get cold, feel sick, runny nose, etc. it always passes within a day.

balancing electrolytes is difficult, too little and you get a headache, too much and you get diarrhea. But once your fluids and electrolytes have re-balanced, you'll feel great. I'm also on keto/carnivore and feel great and losing weight quickly. I don't think it's long term sustainable though.

I don’t lift yet. Everyone said cut to 10-12% bf then lift. I do HIIT right now (beach body insanity) and my reps are increasing just fine. I’m definitely not losing muscle mass. I’ve increased pull-up reps, push-up reps, all of it is increasing steadily. I didn’t lose any reps after fasting 7 days either. If anything, I felt strong coming off the fast. It’s crazy how much energy you have while doing prolonged fasting. The only reason I stopped at 7 days was because I couldn’t sleep. I was lying in bed feeling like I was on meth.

Interesting. I'm getting stronger right now and wrestling but I don't have to make weight until March, considering a keto cut. I'll make myself some snake juice. There are worse things than diarrhea, a purge is nice sometimes. But headaches always suck.

Your body weight reps are increasing because you are becoming lighter. Same with the energy (beyond adapting more to ketosis in a fasted state)

I haven’t been tracking since OMAD but it’s definitely a bigger increase then just 10 lbs lighter on my body resistance.

I've been on the carni diet for a little while, but I was eating very low carbs before I made the switch anyway. Maybe just slowly reduce carbs? I've been feeling a-ok since I started.

I do the steak and eggs diet but I eat 3 meals a day.

Other than that I have a cup of black coffee before I workout. I don’t eat from around 7:00pm to around 10:00am the next day. Then on Saturdays I’all have a cheat meal where I eat pizza with friends or a shitload of French fries or I’ll eat lots of fruits and vegetables if I don’t go out. I don’t cheat all day, just one meal and I make an effort to eat a fucking lot in that one meal. It isn’t just to treat my cravings but to hit a sort of reset button on my metabolism.

It works and it’s easy to follow. I lose a lot of body fat when I do it but my strength goes up. My Saturday cheat meal isn’t all that satisfying anymore and I crave steak the whole time I’m eating it.
