What will happen? Are there any things I should do to replace it or is it truly just a meme lift?

I do a PPL 5 or 6 days a week if that makes a difference.

Look at people with physiques or strength feats you desire. Mimic their workout. Does it include deadlift? Congratulations, you should deadlift. No diddys? Congrats, you have one less thing to worry about.

i do deadlifts for my posture only and they work amazing.

without them i'd be about an inch smaller and lack 2 point of confidence. this alone makes them obligatory in my workout

No lift is necessary. Any compound lift is great though. There are plenty of people who deadlift insane amounts of weight and they're fine. There are also others who refuse to practice proper form and insist on blaming an established lift. These people are absolute garbage. Instead of just stating that they want to explore other options in their routine, they want to burn bridges and treat weight training like it's a console war.

Just find a new lift, or train your other lifts harder. But don't blame deadlifts because of your insecurities. It's laughably transparent.

If you took the average guy deadlifting 5pl8 and compared them to your average guy doing a brosplit, 9 times out of 10 the 5pl8 guy will have a better physique. Now obviously there’s outliers (fatty powerlifters, god-tier genetic chads) but that’s rare
