Well any man who trains for a year and weighs 180lbs+ should be in or very close to the the 1000lbs club.

Been at it for about 4 months and currently at 835.

been stuck around 950-985 for a long time, everytime I start getting closer I somehow injure myself or have life screw up my gym time.... I am about due a set back I think.

No it’s squat bench deadlift, competition lifts basically.

no, squat, dl, bench are also known as the big 3. 1000lb total is pretty much achievable for most men with some actual dedication/work.
OHP would be the 4th main lift but the 1175lb club sounds stupid

You would just have to try and not be totally incompetent, most regular gym goers lack the former and most/fit/ posters the latter

Is 5x5 1000 lb club an achievement at all? I'm injury prone so I never max out, but in the course of my normal workout I progressed where the weights I could do 5x5 of totaled 1000 exactly

1000lb club is like bottom of the totem pole for powerlifting.. just barely allowable at the lighter weight classes

Just barely, but I haven't tested my dl 1rm in a long time. I have high hopes of hitting a 4pl8 squat this year and if my left shoulder will get over itself soon my bench will actually start increasing.

What is so special about the 1000lb club? Doesn't seem that hard to achieve, I didn't even know such a thing existed a year ago. When I was young first lifting I "achieved" the club in 10th grade.

i think its leverages. i just dont know why squat is so much harder to increase than anything else

it's in lbs but it's all 3x5 except deads which are 1x5.
i've only been strength training for less than 2 months and have only seen a net total increase in body weight by 3 lbs in that time so I think I'm doing pretty well.

also anyone have recs for straps for someone who sets up deadlifts from the top and pulls as fluidly and explosively as possible?
Something that is quick to set up and rip with.
Been training grip so I can keep pulling double overhand but I can only get maybe 2 reps at this point without my grip failing.

I wonder if he found anyone with this method...

maybe I should try looking for a Domina on tinder with the same method, altough I'm not into extreme stuff like him
