Why is suicide more prevalent amongst men?

women attempt suicide four times as much but they choose more squeamish methods. Men are far more likely to attempt suicide with a gun (because they are more likely to own a gun or knwo how to use one) so they end up succeeding more

I'm not saying you have some autism disorder but I really wish for you, if your life is currently in a shit hole, please ask help from others around you and tell them you're suicidal or depressed, if you haven't already. Tell your loved ones you're contemplating it if that's true and if you really can't. If possible talk with a therapist first (male one of course) that can show you the faulty, set mindset you have and he will surely convince you somewhat. Depression is very treatable. Please do not lose hope.

Men are socialized to not show weakness, thus many try to cope with depression on their won. This obviously ends bad more often than for people that actually seek help and are mature enough to realise that therapy does not emasculate anyone.
