And why is American Football? You need speed, strength, endurance, and agility. You also need to develop amazing hand eye coordination and mental toughness since you're essentially smashing into people for the majority of the game.
What sport requires you to be the most physically Jow Forums?

mental toughness for a sport that's professionally known to cause brain damage
It depends on how you define physical fitness, brainlet.

How do you define it then? Endurance and the ability to do ungodly amounts of calisthenics?
>flab collide
>athletic
Yeah, they're totally fat and have weak cardiovascular systems. Shame on them.
Basketball
MMA
probably olympic weightlifting
Probably gymnastics or some combat sport
>endurance or agility
M8 have you ever watched a football game, it’s 20-30 seconds of activity followed by 4-5 minutes of calling the play and getting the teams in position, also most running backs don’t dodge or jump around, but just sprint forward for that extra yard.
Also you could have the toughest lineman in the world and still lose to a good qb
Any combat sport.
Have you never fucking watched Alvin Kamara or Christian McCaffrey? There's a buttload of amazing running backs. I understand the kind that your talking about though.
>what the fuck do you use your brain for anyway
i dont expect you to know or understand
rowing
Imagine using steroids to play nigger ball and get brain damage twice as fast
Kamara is something else though
>imagine using steroids to play a sport for millions of dollars
FTFY

Top athletic sports: NFL, oly lifting, wrestling, gymnastics
Most overrated sports regarding athleticism: NBA, MMA, track & field
90%+ of NBA athletes are super unimpressive (going by combine measurables/numbers). It's actually embarrassing how much better the NFL numbers are.
Forreal, Nfl players no matter the position (besides QB, kicker, and punter) have to have a certain level of strength and speed.
It would be wrestling because you are fighting for your life hypotheticallyagainsy someone who has just about the same stats as you.
White bois are mad. After all only sport they excel are obscure obsolete strong man competitions
NFL is the one sport where steroids are pretty much mandatory (obviously they are used in most but not to the same degree).
rugby and combat sports
for basketball you can be a genetically unathletic loser but you'll still get picked up in middle school by the coaches if you have freakish height and then at that point it's just a matter of working hard. somebody like lebron is what happens when you have a tall person who has actually decent athletic ability rather than just being a lanklet like most other nba players
>Top athletic sports: NFL
